Brings to mind the recently disclosed story that Obama was surprised when the Joint Chiefs stood upon his entrance. Thought they had come up with that just for him.

I can understand in the heat of debate where POTUS can come across as snarky and disrespectful to the challenger. But since I like Romney better, I'll make a snarky remark to POTUS:

1. Battleships go ON the water.
2. Submarines go IN the water.
3. No naval vessel that I know of goes UNDER the water.

This moment needs to be part of an ad. It's so fully of nonsense and dripping with condescension for, not only Romney, but disdain for our Navy too.

The Democrats are loving it today, but they should wish it never happened. Maybe Karl Rove's group has the stones to do it.

At the Alfred E. Smith dinner last week, Romney opened his line of psychological warfare on Obama. Last night he aptly reminded Obama that he (Romney) had gotten deep inside that skull of arrogance and false pride. You could see the look on Obama's face that told Romney he had won.

Watch Romney "fire" Obama-Mao sweetly...and Obama knows he has been fired as he stumbles about trying to convince us he should stay "on the job" at the White House for another 4 years.

Me, I've been miserable for these past four years...I don't want to go on like this for another four...do you?

Just on Oct. 19, 200 horse soldiers who were instrumental rousting the Taliban in northern Afghanistan gathered at the WTC to rededicate the Horse Soldier statue. There was even a book written about this group of soldiers.

The Tidewater area of Virginia has always been a pro-Republican military enclave so he didn't hurt himself among the shipbuilding/repair industry there. But its rural compared to the DC suburbs in the north. Like many other states, Virginia's electoral votes go the way of its urban concentrate.

So why doesn't GE and all the other contractors start sending out the WARN lay-off notices now? If these workers and all those who get trickle down largesse from those who have these great jobs don't get it, then they deserve to reelect the guy who will can all of them. Or at best relegate them to part time jobs with no benefits.

Axlerod, the son of communists, is so excited about the whole 1920's, backward, strategy that I'm sure they thought they had a winner with the horses and bayonets line. Obama should read Horse Soldiers by Doug Stanton about US soldiers who rode to victory in Afghanistan. Also, visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and notice what the guards have on their rifles. Educate yourself, Barack, you mean nasty little man.

I wonder what Obama was thinking when he mentioned subs and carriers. Neither one is a new development. Subs were at sea before Romney's 1917 benchmark. (Do you suppose Obama has heard about the Lusitania?) And carriers have been in the world's navies for what, seventy-five years? So what's the game-changer?

But no question that Obama is the expert when it comes to seamen and corpsemen.

When 0bama was campaigning in 2008 he said he would make the seas retreat. Now, 2012, we have fewer Navy ships and so by the lack of weight/presence of those Navy ships the seas are once again rising. Perfect (non)sense, right?
