| If only women voted, President Obama would be on track for a landslide re-election, equaling or exceeding his margin of victory over John McCain in 2008. Mr. Obama would be an overwhelming favorite in Ohio, Florida, Virginia and most every other place that is conventionally considered a swing state. The only question would be whether he could forge ahead into traditionally red states, like Georgia, Montana and Arizona. If only men voted, Mr. Obama would be biding his time until a crushing defeat at the hands of Mitt Romney, who might win by a similar margin

I don't believe this at all.Other polls have shown where Romney has closed the gender gap and that's the main reason he's surged since the first debate. Males were already predisposed to vote for Romney.
The abortion crowd is always going to vote dem,even if the world is crumbling around them.There's a lot of women who wouldn't get an abortion themselves but feel the need to show solidarity with women who would.
Romney already said he wouldn't push for new federal laws on abortion but might cut funding for PP.PP doesn't need fed money,just like PBS. PP made $168 million last year doing abortions and the get tons of donations from leftists like mayor Bloomberg.
The Hyde amendment was never overturned or voted out,yet is casually ignored by greedy abortion providers.
the "should we borrow money from China" test will get rid of a lot of wasted federal spending.
Besides if free contraceptives works so well,why do we still need abortions?
Why don't we just pay younger girls,women not to get pregnant instead of funding abortion mills.The real reason the left pushes for abortion is to deny the existence of God.

Nate is not a credible source on polls. He only did well in 2008 because he was spoon-fed details by the obama campaign on data from their internal polling. According to other poll wonks, obama is losing women just as fast as men. Only the hardest Liberal still believes in him. Even Black voters are abandoning him.

Nate Silver is a rather dimwitted cheerleader for Obama. I read his stuff for comic relief. He has declared the election "over" so many times I can't count that high. He has been chortling for months that Obama had a 90% chance of winning and that thee election was over. Conservatives should stay at home and listen to the voice of "reason". After Romney crushed and embarrassed Obama in the fist debate Silver dismissed it. Now as the race is to close to call he is furious that, well, no one takes him seriously anymore. Why should anyone?

By saying that Obama has such massive support from women, NYT is saying that women are stupid, that the economy, unemployment, coming recession, Iran nukes, Russian bellicosity, Syrian upheaval, etc.--all come second to their "woman parts."
I dispute that. Women (Code Pink and liberals aside) are far too smart to fall for Obama's line of BS for a second time.
I predict that Romney will win the woman vote too.
