| It hasn’t been a good weekend for the President. The NBC/WSJ poll, released earlier today, shows the race tied at 47 percent. ... The latest Gallup poll has Romney up 7 points, 52-45. NRO hears that the latest attempt by the President’s team to check Romney’s momentum will come via a years-old video in which Romney sounds more conciliatory toward the PRC. Romney, of course, will be portrayed as a flip-flopper. It will be another instance of “Romnesia.”
|
Comments: To me, the 2007 Romney sounds consistent with the 2012 Romney- Especially if you consider the fact that we have had about 5~6 trillion dollars of additional debt that Romney obviously views as his problem to fix.
So it's another empty brickbat. Gosh.

one more night of listening to obomerations about jobs. He flip flops on his designs about the coal industries. He'll lie about the oil industries - he closes them down and now brags about increase production. He talks about his interest in the middle class yet his aunt is on welfare, his uncle is extremely poor and his brother is living in a closet and is poor. What makes any American think this clown cares about YOU? He wants his own agenda, to live high on the hog, do nothing but be admired by those who really don't know him and if they did they would run him out of the USA

Obama is cold and callous. The way Obama responds to the deaths in Benghazi, Ft Hood and Mexico seems to bear that out.
Spahrkl, commenter #2 gets to the fundamental hypocrisy of Obama. His brother lives in poverty in a slum in Nairobi and what exactly is the likelihood Obama will care about you?
Obama is kind of a one-man scam.

Even if Romney has changed his views on China, he has not been in the position to affect national or federal policy. obama has. Enough said.

He is wrong, as he too often is.
The best defense, as we all know, is a good offense.
Don't hold back, Mitt.

I watched the video from 2007. Romney makes sense and acts like an executive. Yeah, Romney's remarks from five years ago are what I'm focused on this election ... Obama is flop sweat desperate if he thinks this video is a game changer. The Romney train has left the station and Obama is running behind him screaming Bird Bird, binders, Romnesia and now this nothingburger about China.

Obama lies so easily; He is running an ad in FL that tells seniors Romney is ending Medicare, giving them a coupon & will charge seniors $6,000 more for healthcare.
Some think Obama has the edge Monday since he's experienced with int'l deals... but since they are all desperate failures... I see a win for Romney.

The Obama goons and the media are playing cut throat politics while Romney is trying to appeal to people's better senses. The reason they're going after the Libyan debacle is because it's easy to build a case around. Other Obama debacles like green energy corruption,is harder to crunch down to a simple narrative.
In the meantime, the left and media makes a big deal out of a harmless comment like a binder.Forget the fact Romney went out of his way to promote women as governor.

It is symptomatic of the national condition of the United States that the worst humiliation ever suffered by it as a nation, and by a US president personally, passed almost without comment last week. I refer to the November 20 announcement at a summit meeting in Phnom Penh that 15 Asian nations, comprising half the world´s population, would form a Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership excluding the United States.

The Pew poll is devastating, just devastating. Before the debate, Obama had a 51 - 43 lead; now, Romney has a 49 - 45 lead. That's a simply unprecedented reversal for a candidate in October. Before Obama had leads on every policy issue and personal characteristic; now Romney leads in almost all of them. Obama's performance gave Romney a 12 point swing! I repeat: a 12 point swing. Romney's favorables are above Obama's now. Yes, you read that right. Romney's favorables are higher than Obama's right now. That gender gap that was Obama's firewall? Over in one night:

Denver — The elements of Mitt Romney’s Rocky Mountain rout were hatched weeks ago in Vermont’s Green Mountains. In early September, Romney slowed down his campaign schedule and retreated with a small group of advisers to the home of Kerry Healey, his former lieutenant governor. Ohio senator Rob Portman, a trusted ally, joined Stuart Stevens, Eric Fehrnstrom, Bob White, and a handful of other Romney confidants. They spent days holding mock debates, and nights reviewing President Obama’s stylistic tics. When they needed a break, they roamed around Healey’s secluded estate, which is 100 miles south of Burlington, Vt. ...

The murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell largely is being ignored by the mainstream media, even in the face of grisly testimony, such as what we heard yesterday. Life News reports: ...a former employee described how she heard a baby scream during a live-birth abortion. Abortion clinic employee Sherry West described an incident which "really freaked (her) out" and related to the jury how she heard a child who was born alive following an abortion scream.

HARTFORD, Conn. -- With time running out on the chance to pass gun control legislation, President Barack Obama on Monday warned Congress not to use delaying tactics against tighter regulations and told families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims that he´s "determined as ever" to honor their children with tougher laws. Obama´s gun control proposals have run into resistance on Capitol Hill, leaving their fate in doubt. Efforts by Senate Democrats to reach compromise with Republicans over expanding required federal background checks have yet to yield an agreement, and conservatives were promising to try

North Korea’s young leader Kim Jong-un is waiting for United States President Barack Obama to make a phone call to Pyongyang to discuss easing tensions on the Korean peninsula, according to Russia’s news agency Itar-Tass. The report cited United Kingdom diplomats, saying Pyongyang was demanding the U.S. president personally call Kim Jong-un as one of the conditions to relieve the current conflict at hand. Itar-Tass also quoted the U.K.’s Sky News as saying North Korea currently has eight nuclear warheads.

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

Chelsea Clinton has raised her profile in the last few days, which sparked the inevitable question about the former first daughter´s future: Will she ever be like Mom and Dad and run for office? Clinton, 33, essentially said "maybe" in an interview that aired Monday on NBC´s Today show. "Right now I´m grateful to live in a city, a state and a country where I strongly support my mayor, my governor, my president and my senators and my representative," said Clinton, whose father, Bill, was president from 1993-2001 and her mother, Hillary

The letter from the group, “Special Operations Speaks,” supports the appointment of a special committee tasked with the single mission of investigating the attack that left Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans dead, and shut down the CIA operation in an annex of the Benghazi consulate, in the Sept. 11, 2012 attack. “Congress must show some leadership and provide answers to the public

There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.

The case of a same-sex Connecticut couple accused of repeatedly raping and abusing two of their nine adopted boys is headed for trial. Married couple George Harasz and Douglas Wirth of Glastonbury were supposed to be sentenced Friday in Hartford Superior Court under a plea deal, but instead withdrew from their agreement with prosecutors. The men had already pleaded no contest in January to one felony count each of risk of injury to a minor — a reduction from even more serious charges related to sexual assault....
