The truth about the tea party
Politico, by Joe Scarborough

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 10/21/2012 4:32:00 PM

"Why is the Tea Party destroying the Republican Party?” That’s a leading question that I have been asked repeatedly from media pundits and Democratic politicians over the past three years. (Snip) — They energized a conservative movement battered by eight years of bloated Republicanism, — they shocked the political world by taking Ted Kennedy’s seat, — they put Obama Democrats in a constant defensive crouch, — they led the resistance against Obamacare, — they helped bring about the largest legislative landslide in U.S. history in 2010, — they grabbed six seats in the U.S. Senate that year,

Comments:
Token conservative "Morning Joe" reads the handwriting on the wall and decides he better get right with actual conservative America before the train leaves the station. Sorry Joe, you ain't foolin' nobody.

Very nicely said, Joe.
Hope you mean it.

The Tea Parties are also the only real reform party in America. Entrenched Republicans of the Murkowski or Lugar ilk are terrified of them and join the Liberal Plantation media and the Democrats in smearing them.

There appear to be twice as many Tea Partiers as partyline leftist liberals, but the liberals are also entrenched in all the seats of power including the media and academia.

The outrage you hear is these entrenched liberal elites pushing back against reform with all the power of the institutions they control.

The key metric for the Tea Parties is that they leave their rallies cleaner than when they got there, while leftist marches and the OWS leave a mess.
They just cannot help themselves.

What Margaret Thatcher

National Journal, by Michael Hirsh    Original Article

In her remarkable life, Margaret Thatcher achieved what Hillary Rodham Clinton still wants (or at least what the pundits say she wants): She became the first female leader of her country, and she did it in such a determined way that her sex was almost an afterthought. In many respects, the two women are profoundly different. Thatcher, who died Monday at 87, was a self-described "conviction politician" and arch-conservative who channeled Milton Friedman and bonded fiercely with "Ronnie" Reagan, her great pal and partner on the world stage as the Cold War came to an end.

The U.S. has been denied direct access to the only publicly known suspect in custody in connection with the Benghazi terror attack, Fox News has learned, with U.S. interrogators still unable to sit in the same room as the Egypt-held prisoner to ask questions. Abu Ahmed, also known as Mohammed Jamal, is suspected of establishing Islamist training camps in Eastern Libya where militants who took part in the Sept. 11 Benghazi terrorist attack were able to train. Ahmed is not suspected of directly taking part in the attack which left four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, dead.

More recently, Republicans have invoked Benghazi to shoot down one would-be cabinet nominee, Susan Rice, and delay two others, Chuck Hagel and John Brennan.
