On Monday, Obama must
come clean on Benghazi

New York Daily News, by Andrea Tantaros

Original Article

Posted By:StormCnter, 10/21/2012 5:53:28 AM

This week’s presidential debate should have provided voters with some answers on the tragedy that happened in Benghazi, Libya on Sept. 11. Instead, we heard more confusing statements from President Obama. But this Monday, at the third and final presidential faceoff between Obama and Romney, the focus will be on foreign affairs — and the President must finally come clean. There are two main issues: the failure by the Obama administration to secure the consulate in Libya in the run-up to the attack, and the conflicting stories and lack of credible information in the weeks that followed.

He'll come clean. It's Bush's fault.

The fact is that you can blame it on a mob, terrorists, or the Red Army if you want, but the truth is that Zero, Joe-BiteME, and Hildebeast did NOT protect the four brave Americans and got them killed. Nobody died during Watergate under Nixon, but Americans died in Benghazi, Libya. Shame.

He owes us the truth, but at this point, I hope he doesnt even try to come clean. There are enough people that will believe him and a MSM that will spin it, that he could come out looking competent.
If he doesnt do it today, then we at least have a chance for Romney to drive it home in the debate.

I wish I was a fly on the wall to hear how they are trying to get a story pulled together on this one!

You can bet that Axelgrease and his lying monkey brigade have been feverishly working to coach Obama how to lie and bluster his way past this one. You can also bet that the moderator has also been given the high sign on how to help him evade and avoid this. Romney needs to be prepared for BOTH his adversaries Monday evening.

Reply 6 - Posted by: Thos Weatherby, 10/21/2012 6:55:57 AM     (No. 8949462)

Obama's only success on foreign policy was taking out Bin Laden and a few other terrorist. Romney, if he wins the coin toss, should start by diffusing this win by Obama by complementing him and the Seals for the success. Then immediately launch into making sure that this fight may only be beginning. Benghazi was just another reminder. This election is over. Obama will not be able to hit a grand slam at tomorrow's debate.

Joe Biden unwittingly gave us a glimpse of one defense they will use. Ask again and again "What will you do differently" as in Syria for example. This is a very tricky no win question for a challenger to respond to. Mitt should plainly say that it is not the what but the how that differentiates him. His actions though overtly similar will be backed by Reagan's "Peace through Strength" philosophy (which has been systematically dismantled by both Clinton and Zippy). Hence the negotiations, the agreements, the warnings, the actions though similar will be far more effective.

And, 6, that "success" with Bin Laden was predicated on years and years of developed intelligence -- which Zippy scorns.

I am sure our agents in place, under cover, in dangerous places are worried. Will this President leak their locations to the enemy? Will their be back up if trouble arises?

Will the USA stand by her men and women in foreign countries working for National Security? President Obama has proved he wont....

What's he going to say? That he had a bunch of cia in country to recover all the guns and ammo he gave the islamist whack jobs? And oops, the ambassador and three contractors, all Americans, were killed over a 6 HOUR gun fight that his people sent drones to video?
OR that he has a corrupt, complicit media that are willing to assist him in lying to the American people?
How about that we owe him the potus and are really, really stupid, and nothing else matters? His true feelings.

I don't give any credit to obama for the killing of Bin Laden. The Pentagon had a high level plan to take the guy out, which was developed and approved all along the chain of command during Bush 43. The plan was on auto-pilot.

obama had no more to do with the killing of Bin Laden than Bill Clinton had to do with the booming economy in the '90, really just a continuation of the Reagan rally.

Reply 12 - Posted by: StormCnter, 10/21/2012 7:42:10 AM     (No. 8949510)

I hope that someone, Schieffer or Romney, asks Obama why he has not spoken to the American people about this. An ambassador and three other Americans were brutally murdered. An ambassador for God's sake! Any normal, caring, intelligent president would have understood a requirement to explain and calm us. Our currently missing media would have been setting fire to the rose garden and chopping down Andrew Jackson's magnolia if a Bush were hiding out in this way.

Wouldn't it be great if just once a candidate like Romney

could say, after a Schieffer interruption, "Gee, thats

enough help from the peanut gallery." ??? That's so

They have been making fun of his vernacular anyway so he

should go for it. AxelgreaseObama is really going to

At this point he can't come clean - for the simple reason that whatever they are trying to hide is much much worse than weeks of lies and shifting cover-ups. Just imagine what the truth really is if they have made this kind of effort to keep it hidden.

The plain truth is that Hillary's stumblebums are probably too scared to make a move on their own lest they be browbeaten and intimidated personally by the Hillbag. We all know how she handles people...which is to say the least certainly NOT very diplomatically! So people were probably standing around looking at each other saying I'm not making a decision and either the Hillbag couldn't be found, or more likely nobody dared disturb her heinous only to have their head handed to them! Meanwhile the Obamboozler couldn't be distracted from campaigning and fund raising to do a real job so Ambassador Stevens was left in Hell to be roasted, raped and killed. Their ignorant arrogance and the protective MSM allowed them to believe that they could simply tell whatever story that sounds good without ever considering that the Truth might actually escape to the America public. This uncommonly haughty, condescending and dangerous bunch of buffoons we have working for us has to go!

Just like the name Ross Perot will go down in history, wouldn't you think someone, anyone deep in this administration would be so fed up by now that they would come forward and lay out all the ugly facts with no warning, just a spontaneous Oct./Nov. MegaSurprise?? Their name would be synonymous with saving America.

The answer to the question by the "NY Daily News" and many others, "Why wasn't our consulate protected?" is simple and sitting right there in plain view. At the very least our prez is a muslim sympathizer. He has proven it over and over with both actions and policies. His bowing and scraping to muslim despots, his overt contempt for Israel and other allies and his personal statements leave no room for doubt. Then there is his gross incompetence and his Keystone Cops Administration that makes constant blunders and mistakes. It's a wonder we have survived this long.

Mitt better ask obama what the truth of today is before answering or questioning anything.

Maybe we will get another funny demonstration of obama's self-righteous outrage. LOL!

The man child's first instinct is to look for anyone or anything that could possibly be to blame besides the religion of peace. Anyone with a functioning brain knew Fort Hood was terrorism, yet even after a "investigation" it was labeled a work place incident.

BIG Sis, little brother, and cousin cankles are incompetent and dangerous to our national security.

Our incompetent State Dept and WH have pushed the USA to the brink on the economy and national security. There is not one good reason to vote for Obama. Every day he shows us another one. We will survive this. We have to, there is no other way.

Does anyone really want to witness Barry coming clean? The only way I can picture it happening is in an accompanying torrent of self pity and finger pointing blame.

Watching Bill Clinton sweat and hoarsely admit to us that he was a liar was perversely gratifying. But that was because Clinton had at least enough adult in him to accept all the blame... way too high a bar for Obama to clear.

The American People are developing the mindset of the "abused woman".
Obama abuses the taxpayers, abuses successful people, abuses the military, etc.
Are we going to enable him to continue abusing us, or are we going to DEMAND that we be treated with respect? Do we deserve truth from Leadership? How about truth from the media? Are we willing to stay in this abusive relationship?

He can't speak the truth until he figures out what it is. And it cannot be anything that will keep him from a 2nd term. I guess Valerie and Ax will tell him what 'his version' of the 'truth' should be. I fear that it will not take 4 more years before we have a major terrorist attack here in the US and it will be worse than the original 9/11.

Reply 34 - Posted by: Nevadadad46, 10/21/2012 10:42:26 AM     (No. 8949939)

I think there is only one hope for Ø. Putting on my crazy liberal hat here: He can say, without too much outrageous incredulity, he was merely "Misdirecting" the terrorists, to help the intelligence community. By vociferously blaming the video, he took the steam out of the terrorist expanding reputation over the attack. His stall and misdirection, gave an advantage to the intelligence people so they could quickly zero in on the real culprits. All along, in this distracting debate season, he had to take a punch for America politically, so the "evil dooers" (a Bush era term for real Islamic terrorists created at the insistence of CAIR to avoid further American insults to Islam) can be brought to justice. Romney has made it that much harder by trying to politicize the whole situation. If Americans especially Republicans and their radical "Right" wingers who support them could have just been more patient and understanding, he could have accomplished much more in bringing the "criminals" to justice.

That explanation is the best hoipe Øbama has and it still leaves a barn door of other problems with the attack and the attempted cover-uo open, but, it is quick, easy for dummies to grasp, and shifts the burden on Romney to just drop the issue during the debate- otherwise, Romney will look like a "piler-on" and a damaging anti-intelligence goon. It's worth the gamble, especially with a still fawning left wing media to cover the remaining holes in the story.

Reply 35 - Posted by: Quigley, 10/21/2012 10:49:03 AM     (No. 8949950)

My understanding of the truth of the matter is that TelePrompTer does not want a show of US force in the ME, so he did not provide the embassy with security. Teleprompter's premise is if we don't look aggressive, the bad guys won't be aggressive.

So, he can't come clean on that.

I don't see how he comes up with anything credible.

The only real question is whether he comes up with something Romney isn't prepared for and which doesn't look ridiculous until the next day when it is fact checked.

Reply 36 - Posted by: strike3, 10/21/2012 10:53:43 AM     (No. 8949959)

If Obama "came clean" he would have to resign the same day. There is no good excuse for what happened and it keeps looking like the White House knew what was going to happen because they had a hand in it. The fact that barry simply continued his campaign trip to Vegas proves what an unfeeling, un-American, un-president he is. His position is not defensible but the MSM will back him up.

We had enough military assets within striking range of Benghazi to scorch the earth for a mile around the embassy and clear out every last stinking roach that took part in the assault. Instead, barry went to bed.

Carter gave Iran to Muslim extremists.
Obama has given Libya & Egypt to Muslim extremists.

In Monday's debate, the Libya & Egypt embassy fiascoes should seal Obama's fate, just like the Iran embassy fiasco did to Carter.

Number 11 - I couldn't agree with you more. President Bush and all of the intelligence teams under his tenure took out Bin Laden along with SEAL Team 6.

Obama dithered on a golf course and had to be pressured by Panetta to make a decision.

An important point regarding the third debate is that the moderator, Bob Schieffer, has a 23 year career that he probably wants to be remembered for.. Even during the near total destruction CBS by Dan Rather, Schieffer did not jump face first into the muck.

Unlike Candy Crowley, he will not likely be willing to throw himself under the Obamabus.

Obama's minions will be out creating more background clutter today. During the debate, the only mention Obama will make of Benghazi will be that Romney tried to politicize it while he, Obama, was trying to determine the facts. Any statement Romney makes will be get the response, "That's a lie and is an attempt to gain political points when our nation ought to be coming together." Count on the moderator being prepared in advance to repeat the background clutter issued today.

Exhibit #1...
In that infamous Libyan exchange between the three debaters in the second debate, he actually --- Can you believe it! --- tried to represent that his general ''acts of terror'' words toward the end of his 9/12 Rose Garden speech, actually specifically referred to Benghazi which he talked about several minutes earlier. And then for fourteen days he and his cronies proceeded to characterize Benghazi as spontaneous reaction to that video. LOL, President Jive be jiven' us and everybody knows it, but not everyone will admit it.

Black or white, they're just voting for him because he's "cool" or black, or hates America as much as they do. He's a commie/socialist, they're commie/socialists.

The Bret Baier special in Fox New was great. Will be broadcast again tonight. If you watch it pay attention to how Candy Crawley reaches for the transcript the minute Hussein mentions that he said terrorism in the Rose garden anti-video speech. Amazing setup. The program does not mention that Amb. Stevens was raped but is excellent overall.

Fourteen days after September 11 Obama went to the United Nations and brought up the despicable video six times. The video Innocence of Muslims is still on YouTube. Thank you Google. The Coptic Christian that posted it is in Federal Prison in California. The doctor that helped ObamakillOsama is in Pakistani prison.

To many in our cultural elite, Woody Guthrie is an American saint. The legendary songwriter from Okfuskee County, Oklahoma, is introduced to every American child by way of his folk anthem “This Land Is Your Land.” But for gatekeepers of the arts, Guthrie is much more: All of his work—every song, every article, every poem—is good and honest and true, the gospel according to Woody. WORTHAM, Texas — Slain Kaufman County District Attorney Mike McLelland kept a gun "in every room of his house" but couldn´t reach one when his killer or killers came into his home Easter weekend because he had put the weapons away just hours before to protect visitors, his son said in an interview published Tuesday. "They had a party the night before and he gathered up all his guns and put them away in a bag so that his guests didn´t stumble across them," J.R. McLelland told The Dallas Morning News. J.R. Looks like it’s Let’s Make a Deal time this month, except perhaps for budgets, at least for the moment. At the same time the Senate has cut a deal on gun control by, er, making the status quo slightly more muscular, the Gang of Eight has reached a deal in principle on immigration. (Snip) The schedule outlined by the aides is meant to satisfy Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), who has said repeatedly that he wants a full debate and amendment process, to maximize the chances that the final vote is an overwhelming majority.

A Democratic leadership source says the compromise will likely be the first amendment to gun legislation being considered, after the Senate votes to begin the gun debate Thursday. The breakthrough background check agreement is a key part of gun legislation. Because it has been struck by two senators

Three Questions on Immigration

‘Comprehensive immigration reform,” a deal on which is reportedly imminent, has a lot of moving parts — too many, in truth, as with most “comprehensive” legislation. Among the costs of comprehensivism is that debate over such bills often gets bogged down in the many details. Americans seeking to evaluate any deal should ask three questions about it to cut through the noise. First: Will it encourage future illegal immigration? This has always been the greatest risk of proposals to provide legal status for current illegal immigrants: that it will be seen as a reason for others to come here illegally

Long before Barack Obama dusted off his shoulders, Margaret Thatcher used a bright turquoise feather duster to sweep away the dirt of lingering socialism at the Conservative Party Conference in October 1975. (Snip for video)The Telegraph, which as a great old black-and-white picture of the occasion, says that it was "given to her by a member of the audience" at the party conference, where she delivered these remarks. Republican leaders in Congress received a dire warning on Tuesday from former Vice President Dick Cheney on the ongoing crisis in North Korea. “We’re in deep doo doo,” Cheney told lawmakers, according to a GOP leadership aide. Cheney added the current North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un, is unpredictable and doesn´t share the United States worldview. One lawmaker present at the session, Rep. Steve Southerland of Florida, said Cheney wore a cowboy hat and "looked really good, spoke really clearly, lucidly.” “It was nice to see him doing well,” Southerland said, noting the last time Cheney was on Capitol Hill

How many federal agencies does it take to do catfish safety inspections? At least three, according to the Government Accountability Office, which on Tuesday released its 2013 report on fragmentation and duplication of federal programs. This year´s report -- there were two previous editions of the report first requested by Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla. -- documents an estimated $95 billion in duplicative programs that waste precious tax dollars. That brings the three-year total of potential savings documented by GAO to $295 billion. Having three agencies doing catfish safety inspections may strike some as funny, but there is nothing to laugh about

Alan Dershowitz can be a frustrating man, but when he is good, he is very, very good. I witnessed his courage personally a few years back when I was part of delegation with him at the Durban II Conference in Geneva. Dershowitz was a one-man resistance band then, protesting the speech of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at that UN-sponsored festival of anti-Semitism. HARTFORD, Conn. -- With time running out on the chance to pass gun control legislation, President Barack Obama on Monday warned Congress not to use delaying tactics against tighter regulations and told families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims that he´s "determined as ever" to honor their children with tougher laws. Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

The sequester may have many across the country singing the blues, but for President Obama, it was all about Memphis Soul. Even with the threat of furloughs and government cuts sparked by the sequester, Obama took the time to enjoy a star-studded concert at the White House tonight. The White House celebration of Memphis Soul music in the East Room--which included special guest appearances by Queen Latifah and Justin Timberlake--is likely to rile Obama´s Republican foes. There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.

More than six months since Ambassador Christopher Stevens was assassinated by terrorists in Benghazi, the Obama administration is still trying to keep a lid on information about the attack. Congress and the American people need to know what happened the night of Sept. 11, 2012. Who did the killing and what was their motive? Why wasn´t help sent? And why did the administration lie about who was responsible? Margaret Thatcher had more impact on the world than any woman ruler since Catherine the Great of Russia. Not only did she turn around—decisively—the British economy in the 1980s, she also saw her methods copied in more than 50 countries. "Thatcherism" was the most popular and successful way of running a country in the last quarter of the 20th century and into the 21st. Her origins were humble. Born Oct. 13, 1925, she was the daughter of a grocer in the Lincolnshire town of Grantham. Alfred Roberts was no ordinary shopkeeper.

Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius conceded Monday that implementing the Affordable Care Act has been more complicated and frustrating than the Obama administration expected, largely due to Republicans who have opposed the law´s state-based exchanges and Medicaid expansion. "The politics has been relentless and that continues," Sebelius said. "There was some hope that once the Supreme Court ruled in July, and then once an election occurred there would be a sense that, ´This is the law of the land, let´s get on board, let´s make this work.´"
