The man on a mission
to debunk Obama 'myth'

Paris - He did nothing for African-Americans, left the poor even poorer, his health care reform was a step backwards, and he may yet let another financial disaster erupt on his watch. In short, Barack Obama squandered the huge wave of goodwill that gave the United States its first black president, argues the president and publisher of the high-brow and left-leaning US magazine Harper's. John R. MacArthur has been making those points all week as he tours Paris to promote his new French-language book "L'Illusion Obama" that seeks to puncture the myths about the man who was awarded the Nobel

The right hates Obama for spending too much and the left for not spending enough.Money is materialism in concentrated form. You could spend trillions more on "helping" people and still fail because money doesn't address who the core person is.There's plenty of low income, low materialistic people in this country that are grateful for what they have and therefore aren't malcontents.

Eliminating poverty with free money is an asinine a theory that anyone has ever come up with.

Obama is addicted to money ether personally or politically because he's been brainwashed into thinking money solves all problems. That's the Chicago way.

You have Obama operatives all over the world giving people money to donate as he falls further behind in the polls.

At the same time he's conducted a war on republican owned business, figuring it'll hurt their donations.I don't think republicans have raised as much gross money as they have this cycle.

America´s ruling class has been experiencing more pushback than usual lately. It just might be a harbinger of things to come. First, in response to widespread protests last week, the Department of Homeland Security canceled plans to build a nationwide license plate database. Many local police departments already use license-plate readers that track every car as it passes traffic signals or pole-mounted cameras. Specially equipped police cars even track cars parked on the street or even in driveways. The DHS put out a bid request for a system that would have gone national, letting the federal government track millions of

John Boehner´s purchase of an $835,000 condo in an exclusive community in Marco Island, Fla. -- a story broken by Jonathan Strong at Breitbart News -- has increased chatter that the House speaker is planning his exit strategy from Washington when the 113th Congress draws to a close later this year. (snip) Politically speaking, the timing of Boehner buying a condo in Florida days after he broke with his conference to push -- and vote for -- a clean debt-ceiling increase is hard to simply dismiss. CNN.com´s latest angle on the Sochi Olympics is what could have been a fascinating story about Joseph Stalin and his summer home. Instead what we have is an unbelievably sloppy piece of "journalism." Built in that city in 1937, twenty years after the October revolution, the murderous dictator´s dacha is now a tourist attraction in Sochi. This much we know about President Obama’s three-day weekend at Sunnylands, the luxurious 200-acre estate near Palm Springs, Calif., that has become something of a West Coast Camp David: He has played golf with three buddies, and planned to binge on TV. Mr. Obama may well feel he’s earned his three days of R&R. On Friday, he addressed a House Democratic retreat on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, then took Air Force One to Fresno, Calif., for events focused on the state’s severe drought, then headed south to Sunnylands for a working dinner with King Abdullah II of Jordan. Mitch McConnell´s party has never looked a better bet to retake the Senate. But if they do, he might not be around to enjoy it. (Snip) While a tough race is not a surprise, what does alarm Republicans is how McConnell´s standing has stagnated as the political environment improves for the GOP. President Obama´s still-sagging poll numbers have weakened Democratic incumbents from North Carolina to Alaska—but not in Kentucky.
