A senior administration official told NBC on Saturday that there have been backchannel talks between the U.S. and Iran about meeting bilaterally on the Iranians’ nuclear program – but that no meeting has been agreed to. Expanding on a statement issued by the White House after The New York Times reported that there was an agreement, the official says that the backchannel talks have been done in full consultation with the allies – the P5 + 1 and Israel.

Obama desperately needs something.
With Putin he was able to offer 'flexibility' at a later date.
What is Obama going to offer Iran?

In a sane world, with America back to what she typically is, here's what would happen.

Iran's Ambassador to the US is called into the office of the SecDef. There is no chair for him. The "talks" consist entirely of the following: "Shut it down. You may go."

And no, the Ambassador is not permitted to speak. In the DoD limo taking him back to his Embassy, there's a video of the US wreaking devastation on all and sundry of our enemies.

Another perfect example of how Obama wants it both ways. On one hand he wants people to think he's made a deal on Iran nukes but just in case somebody objects, they deny it's taking place. The NY Slimes wouldn't print this out of thin air, they got the info from somewhere but Obama denies it.

Iran has rode out sanctions for at least 4 years and now they're about to cave 2 weeks before Obama's election. If any sanctions are working,it's the ones from the EU,not Obama's swiss cheese sanctions where his buddies still do business with Iran.

Can't wait until she is un-elected. Oh...wait, she is not an elected or appointed official, why is she part of diplomatic talks?

I have always suspected that she is the brain behind F and F, as well as other failed, dangerous and un-American schemes.

WASHINGTON — President Obama spoke in unusually personal terms at the White House on Thursday about how he got high as a teenager and was at times indifferent to school as he deplored what he called America’s numbness to the plight of young black men. Drawing on the power of his own racial identity in a way he seldom does as president, Mr. Obama sought to connect his personal narrative about growing up without a father to that of a generation of black youth in the United States who he said faced higher odds of failure than their peers.
