| Two months ago my family and I finally moved out of the Big City and into paradise--a pretty rented cottage on a 2,500-acre estate in Northamptonshire with lakes, Capability Brown parkland, a 12th Century church, a ruined Elizabethan haunted house, an 18th Century walled garden and an ancient bluebell wood teeming with badgers, bats, deer and rare birds. Yes, Big D. has decided to fight and die on this hill. God bless him. He IS right. Green energy is a warm, fuzzy hippie notion that misses the mark by several orders of magnitude. It does produce 'some' energy but non-engineering types just don't want to see the difference between running a railroad and having a train set in the basement.

I love James Delingpole. First he writes: "Flattering though this was, I had to explain that I’m a troublemaker not an organiser. Sure, I could help out with an angry article, but if she wanted a leader she’d have to look elsewhere. Run a campaign? I can scarcely run a bath."
Then the old 'Spirit of Britain' (that most people had mourned its demise) rises in him, and: "At this point something in me snapped. Analysis of commercially available rice imported into the US has revealed it contains levels of lead far higher than regulations suggest are safe. Some samples exceeded the "provisional total tolerable intake" (PTTI) set by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) by a factor of 120. Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius conceded Monday that implementing the Affordable Care Act has been more complicated and frustrating than the Obama administration expected, largely due to Republicans who have opposed the law´s state-based exchanges and Medicaid expansion.
