Pheed users can charge for content or issue it for free. Twitter and Facebook are could be approaching some kind of natural internet point of saturation of users and interest and sheer boredom. No one in their right mind thinks that anything on the internet is forever.

Interesting concept. I wonder if this would work for writers? Put your stuff out there, and if people wanted to pay to read your work, they would. If they didn't, they wouldn't. Of course Pheed would be taking a bigger cut of the proceeds than the traditional publisher and agent would, even combined, but it might be worth a shot to gain a foothold.

#1, writers can self-publish on Amazon. It's a proven business with lots of name recognition, so I don't think Pheed would be cutting in on them any.

I like the plan. Don't know if it will work, but worth a try. Possibly it couldn't *be* tried, until after Twitter showed the way.
Of course, don't see why Twitter can't do the same, unless there's a patent, but that would be one stinky patent.

However, we are getting close to dropping Facebook since unwanted ads are popping up. Ads on FB will be like TV commercials; at first just one every 15 minutes. Now they run for 5 minutes every ten minutes. Thanks God for TIVO.

I don't really see this taking off. Social networks work by encouraging interaction. This is just a one-way conduit, and it contains the additional hurdle of trying to get people to pay for online content.
There's no lack of content on the Internet or ways to deliver it. The next big social networking phenomenon will probably take us all by surprise--and it won't be this.

We at Townhall have been covering this hotly contested Senate race for months and the results are finally in: With 36 percent of precincts reporting, Elizabeth Warren has been declared the next junior Senator from Massachusetts. Warren has never held public office before and the eye-popping $40 million she raised this election cycle evidently proved more than enough to unseat incumbent Senator Scott Brown. This was the most expensive Senate race of 2012 -- by a long shot.

The Obama and Romney campaigns may be gearing up for a very late night, with one Obama campaign adviser predicting that in Florida alone, "they'll be counting until 2 a.m." The Obama adviser said signs suggest the race is quite tight, though the campaign claimed to be "holding strong" in key battlegrounds like Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The adviser also said turnout among black voters in Virginia was better than expected, suggesting that could be a problem for Mitt Romney. A week after Hurricane Sandy slammed into the East Coast, a majority of voters said President Barack Obama’s response to the crisis wasn’t a factor in their vote, according to early exit polls. Fifty-five percent of those surveyed, per CBS News’ early exit polling released by radio station WKZO in Kalamazoo, Mich., said Obama’s handling of the storm was a minor factor in their vote or wasn’t a factor at all. Twenty-six percent named Sandy as an “important” factor, and 15 percent said it was the “most important” factor in their decision.

As expected, the presidential race is tight in Ohio, where the polls just closed: President Obama is winning women 55 percent to 44 percent in the early CBS News exit poll, while Mitt Romney is leading 52 percent to 46 percent among men. Women made up 51 percent of the electorate, compared to 49 percent among women.
