Krauthammer: Obama administration
'lied' on Libya because they
had 'the media in their pocket'

The Daily Caller, by Jeff Poor

Original Article

Posted By:sparky86, 10/20/2012 8:24:53 AM

On Friday night’s broadcast of “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel, host Sean Hannity asked Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer why the White House waited so long to acknowledge that the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi was a pre-planned terrorist strike. According to Krauthammer, the Obama administration delayed announcing the news primarily to protect the president’s image on foreign policy. “They had two reasons to lie,” Krauthammer said. “The first reason was the fact that the Sept. 11 attack occurred a week after they just spent four days in Charlotte dancing

Comments:
This isn't exactly news, but the history books won't make Obama out to be a bad guy either, at least not as bad as Carter on foreign policy (Iran hostage crisis, etc.)

It's really frustrating that I can't read this article on my mobile device because of an obnoxious ad that blocks 95% of the screen. These types of ads are unfortunately showing up more frequently these days.

My gut feeling says there is even more being hidden.
Perhaps Fast and Furious Part 2 ?
After all, Part 1 worked out so well for Obama. s/
What is the source of those weapons used to kill the Ambassador?

Krauthammer gets it.
Obama lies because the complicit media is his enabler.
Slick Willy had an admiring cheering section in the media, amazed at his skill.
With Obama it goes even deeper.
The media has supported his 5 weeks of lies about Benghazi and echoed every demand to look away.

Obama depends on the media and demands that we believe his lies.

The Mainstream Media led by the NY Times, WaPo, LA Times, ABC, CBS, NBC and 98% of the rest of the "news" outlets have become the greatest enemy a free society ever faced.

How did it happen? Liberal infection starting probably in the thirties followed by the desire of real men to earn an honest living in the real world instead of tricking the money into their pockets by working in the "news" business.

Thus you end up with "news" being brought to you by the likes of Matt Lauer.

The next debate is going to be riveting and unraveling. It is too late to come up with other excuses.
Obama's preparation for this debate must include a lot of lawyers. (Wonder how many of his group have already lawyered up?) Hillary, of course, will be out of town, in constant touch with Bill.

Senior Fox News political analyst Brit Hume laid out why this week’s testimony on last September’s terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya could be problematic for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Hume, speaking on Tuesday’s broadcast of “America Live,” said there is no feasible way for her to escape any responsibility since she had to be involved in the crafting of the talking points that came out after the attack that resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including then-U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens. "There’s really no way for her to escape responsibility for this if this

Back in the 1980s, the country faced a familiar dilemma to the one it faces today — the border was insecure and too many illegal immigrants had moved into the United States. At the time, the proposed solution was a bill crafted by then Wyoming Republican Sen. Alan Simpson and Kentucky Democratic Rep. Romano Mazzoli. Signed into law by President Ronald Reagan in 1986, it instantly granted 3 million illegal immigrants legal status. Yet a little over 30 years later the problem has returned, with more than 11 million illegal immigrants now in the United States.

Conservative columnist Pat Buchanan says the “Gang of Eight” immigration reform bill will, if passed, threaten national security and destroy the Republican Party’s ability to compete on a national level. Buchanan, author of “Suicide of a Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025?” told radio host Laura Ingraham on Monday that passing a “blanket pardon” of illegal immigrants would be “an act of madness,” particularly in the wake of last week’s terrorist attacks in Boston. “It’s been one week since something like 178 to 180 Americans — three of them murdered — but 178 injured, maimed and wounded by two

In Alabama, no state legislator, Republican or Democrat, would ever question gun rights, given the state’s conservative leanings and rural setting. But Democratic Alabama State Rep. As a presidential speech writer for the first Bush White House, I am always very interested in what presidents say in their formal speeches. They know, of course, that their remarks will be widely covered by the press, studied by analysts, and influential in contemporary political debates. For that reason, presidents rarely speak off-the-cuff, and their every word is carefully chosen for exactly the message the White House wants to convey to the public. Their graduation speeches, like all presidential addresses, go through many drafts and are reviewed by high-level administration officials

The most notable takeaway from Jay Carney’s incomprehensible Friday appearance had little to do with his Klingon grammar. Carney does not represent the historical value of the event – you should be wise to forget his performance, and instead take note that he was flanked by the entire room, without exception. Do not underestimate the significance: the Obama administration has not faced such an onslaught of truth-seeking since he took office in 2008, and further, no Democratic administration has been charged from all sides like this in recent memory. That press conference was unthinkable just days ago

Leaders of Alianza, a Latino student group, and the Associated Student Government called on students to remember that Cinco de Mayo commemorates Mexico’s victory over France in the Battle of Puebla. It is not a day to throw a sombrero-themed party, they said.

When it became clear last fall that the CIA’s now discredited Benghazi talking points were flawed, the White House said repeatedly the document were put together almost entirely by the intelligence community, but White House documents reviewed by Congress suggest a different story. ABC News has obtained 12 different versions of the talking points that show they were extensive edited as they evolved from the drafts first written entirely by the CIA to the final version distributed to Congress and to U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice before she appeared on five talk shows the Sunday after that attack.

She weathered Whitewater. She made it past Monica ?Lewinsky. Now Hillary Clinton is hoping to beat the rap on Benghazi and make it to the White House. The Clinton political machine is in full campaign mode already, preparing for 2016 and hoping voters forget by then that she had a key role in the Obama administration’s handling of the terror attack. But that’s becoming more difficult as the GOP appears to be laying the groundwork for tying Clinton to Benghazi and making sure it stays front and center in the next campaign. Some of the testimony from State Department whistleblowers

It´s been 11 days and counting since the Jets cut ties with Tim Tebow and 13 months since they traded for him. Much of the conversation in the past week and a half has been about which teams -- if any -- would be interested in the former Heisman Trophy winner.
