Republicans bracing for 'October surprise' as
Gloria Allred 'prepares for Romney revelation'

Republicans are bracing themselves for Gloria Allred to make a potentially damaging revelation about Mitt Romney, just weeks before the election. The pro-President Obama lawyer is rumoured to be preparing for her so-called 'October surprise' in which she will strike the Republican presidential hopeful's chances by unearthing some sort of secret or scandal. Ms Allred has refused to comment on the rumours, which first surfaced in a tweet by the Drudge Report's Matt Drudge on Thursday. 'Here she comes. Hearing Gloria Allred out there again, about to make a move. After all, it's her time of the campaign. Team O

Slimy and vicious as always, bring it on, Gloria! What? Romney took a French girl out to lunch while he was on his mission (at the age of what? 18?) Oh, no!

Well heck, I still don't like Romney. Maybe a little secret or two will make him look more human. Have at it Gloria!

If no one has found out anything bad about Romney by now, then no one will. She's got nothing.

The Democrats and Obama always have an October surprise.
That is what they do.

My fear is this will be a character assination the likes of which we have never seen before. Being 68 years old, I have seen many such lies coming from the democrats. The only true fact will be Mitt's name; all else will be total fabrication.

Character assination is all they have left.

With her track record, the only people who will believe her stuff will be those who want to believe it. I doubt they were Romney voters in the first place.

Let's hope that the R camp has something on Zippy (maybe a nice tape...) and can negotiate behind the scenes.

Knowing Gloria Allred, she will claim that when Romney ran the Olympics, he had hidden cameras in the women's locker room.

It'll be about sex. Mark it down. He harassed someone, he had an affair, he forced some female employee to have an abortion. SOMETHING.

Other option is that he employed illegals as house help.

Well, no one will believe it who knows him, and most of the supporters will not. Of course, whatever it is will get widespread airing by the leftist media, so who knows? If she does have anything that might impact the election, it is time for Rush, and Drudge and others to bring out the news about Obama being gay. Go to Chicago and snoop around the Trinity church, whose people are afraid to talk about O's "gay days". But the stakes are too high! Someone needs to drag big money through the neighborhoods in Chicago and get some folks to talk.

Shortly after the Penn State football coach sexual molestation story broke, a young man from Syracuse accused the assistant basketball coach, bernie fine, of molesting him. The young man's brother had denied the story, then decided to join his brother in the accusations. Their stories did not hold up, although the the cowardly Syracuse University chancellor, homunuculus nancy cantor fired bernie fine, and Gloria Allred showed up on camera to represent a handful of young men, some of whom lied, another lied, and is now in prison as a child molester.
Allred hasn't given up on the case, which gives her face time on tv. But there is no case to win. And because there is no sexual molestation to sue about, she is suing the university and the head basketball coach at SU for slander.
She has no credibility. Nothing. None.

Oprah has surprises come out all the time--

She has been a personality for 30 years, yet there always seems to be some new "revelation" hit this covers of the tabloids....

I guess this one about Mittens is going to be a "doozy". For a perverse society that loves to see people taken down, it makes one wonder what it could be.

On the other hand, these desperate attempts to attack a decent man and his family only seem to strengthen Mitts support, so bring it on!

We all wondered that Billy Clinton would pull something so that he would not give up his power....

Who let Gloria off of the Funny Farm? The only October Surprise we should see is that she has kept her mouth shut...she historically attacks people for odd reasons and is never held accountable. But seeing where the election situation is now, the Dumbacrats are desperate and are pulling out the stops and bring out there secret weapon...the G1 Mouth Rocket!!! Let us normal people not fall for this malarky...

She's had all this time to uncover dirt on Romney and now, three weeks before the election Allred is coming out with some spurious allegations? The American people I would hope are not as stupid and gullible as the media would have us believe. Although the leftist media will try to make the charges stick...those who want to believe the charges would probably not have voted for Romney anyway. Those of us who know that this is a trumped up allegation weeks before the election will see this as it is..a false accusation by a desperate President and Dem Party.

Don't underestimate Allred's ability to cause serious mischief in a campaign. She has already succeeded or nearly succeeded in multiple major races by bringing forward either alleged affairs or unpaid/illegal household help. This woman is a viper. Hopefully this time she will end up as a vindshield viper.

I suspect alred's attack to be in same. vein as the McCain and the blond companion story which was refuted but not before the narrative was established. The corrupt media cannot wait to run with any smear against Romney. The strategy is to pound Romney with lies, create a distraction, then quietly bury the story when facts completely vindicate Romney.

Gloria Allred and the corrupt Democrat Media complex will drag out some semi-literate third worlder from Central America who will claim she worked for the Romneys as a housekeeper and was fired for being an illegal. That is what she did to Meg Whitman in the CA Governors race 2010 with that horrid Dias woman. This is her mo. The Romney camp needs to inoculate themselves from Allred and her slimy crew.

Romney needs to pre-empt Gloria.

Do a values-based commercial and get his entire family on tape.

Look the camera in the eye and ask Gloria to go ahead and attempt her smear to destroy Romney.

Mitt can take it just like Herman did.

"NOTHING will deter my commitment to the America People, Gloria, not even you!".

Does Gloria have the multimillions to fight a LIBEL suit that could go on for years?
Romney does, and would spend plenty to restore his honor. I would think very carefully about this, Gloria.
Why not let Obama/Romney fight this out fair and square?
Has this woman never heard of biting off more than you can chew?

Reply 42 - Posted by: IdahoSky, 10/20/2012 9:17:54 AM     (No. 8947609)

I seem to remember a story about a former member of the church who Romney counselled in his capacity as a bishop many years ago. She wanted an abortion and Romney tried to talk her out of it. I would guess he told her she would lose her membership in the church. The Mormon church frowns on abortion holds members to a high standard of conduct.
It might play into the Republican War on Women meme that the Democrats are pushing.
If that is the "scandal" in question, all I can say is bring it on!

She says she ''can't confirm or deny it.'' What does that tell you? It's already Oct 20th. I think Drudge burst her bubble and forced her hand. Now, anything she comes out with will be met with extreme skepticism by the voting public despite attempts by MSNBC to give it legs.

Reply 48 - Posted by: chillijilli, 10/20/2012 9:29:26 AM     (No. 8947652)

When I was in Vegas a month ago, I opened the USA Today to find a full page ad from Larry Flynt offering a cool $1M to anyone who could provide information that could be used to take down Romney. My guess is some weirdos came forward, got their million bucks and Flynt turned the accusations over to Allred to investigate and pursue.

Reply 49 - Posted by: ocjim, 10/20/2012 9:35:56 AM     (No. 8947670)

I don't think it's bimbos and of course not a DUI. If anything, it's some kind of an alleged illegal nanny or other, is my guess, or maybe a disgruntled ex-employee who can come forward and speak to the news media, probably from the household staff...
''Mitt's boys always had so many toys, and my boy had so few. He was so hurt by that. Mean Romney's.''

Mitt is close to Meg Whitman of course and saw Allred take down Meg in the Cali gubernatorial race.

I also think Obama and crew will hedge their bets and have two or three surprises to overwhelm the Romney campaign and figuring that at least one of the surprises will have legs.

Reply 50 - Posted by: geekrunner, 10/20/2012 9:41:03 AM     (No. 8947689)

Given the blatant media bias recently on display against Romney, who will actually believe anything said about him by a certified leftist toadie like Allred? Especially since her track record screams of affecting the outcomes of important elections to the detriment of Republicans? My educated guess is this "revelation" is only designed to knock Benghazigate out of the news cycle, and will have totally no basis in fact.

They'll dig up some advanced neurotic who'll claim that Romney once smiled and said "hello" to her in the Bain building elevator or the corridors of the Mass. state house, and as a result of this horrifying intrusion into the primacy of her female personhood, she was scarred for life.

It will be a bold lie. If there were anything true it would be known by now. But they have nothing to lose from a bold lie. There have been so many already, that no one ever called them on. This time Allred is turning in her own reputation for the cause, because the lie will be discovered and it will be the end of her. She just hopes that will be after the election. Cashing it all in right now.

Please take time out to follow the three articles by Senior Stff Reporter Jorome R. Corsi at: www.wnd.com where you will also read about the arranged married to Michelle by Rev.Wright. The Republican party shoud be made aware of these documented facts and act accordingly.

She'll reveal that Mitt has a gigante mocha latte to start each day off and ears briefs. Gloria is so lacking in credibility I doubt there's anything she can reveal that's devastating enough, otherwise they'd have used it before early voting began this past week in some states. There aren't enough undecideds to make a major swing.

A landslide is coming, and I'm hopeful that Romney's coattails will eliminate Harry Reid's tenure as Senate Majority Leader.

LOL, #14! And #25 & #33 are correct.
Unlike Clinton's real card-carrying bimbos, Allred's fake bimbo eruption card has been played one time too many.

Perhaps this is being leaked, almost pre-leaked so widely this weekend because there is no there there.
All they've got to work with is the opportunity to plant suspicion - however empty.
Get that ''suspicion'' out there repeatedly, without details ,and then allege Romney campaign is somehow suppressing their right to ''reveal'' the ''facts'', and allege a cover-up -- a cover-up of Allred's latest contrived deceit.

She'd better be careful. The intent is ugly and the tired attempt at last-minute timed manipulation is old hat these days.
It's very likely to blow up in her face with all that slime and it's intended effect ricocheting back all over her Little Lord Pansy-A where it belongs instead, with whatever it is, IF... it is, rightly perceived as either coming from him or by his approval.
Read somewhere last night that she was a visitor to the White House just last week.

Prince Harry arrives in Washington today at the start of a seven-day tour of the US which will add to the sense of a changing of the guard within the Royal family. Before that he will visit the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington DC to see its pioneering work with wounded soldiers, sailors and airmen, and will lay wreaths in the Arlington National Cemetery

I understand from a couple of well-placed sources that David Cameron will be flying to Washington next week to meet with Barack Obama. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, though the trip is expected to be brief. Curiously, it has also not been publicly announced. Inevitably Syria will be top of the agenda for Cameron, as will counter-terrorism issues in the wake of the Boston bombing. Iran and North Korea will also likely be key topics of discussion. This will be the PM’s first trip to Washington since his March 2012 visit, which took place against the backdrop of

At a moving ceremony at The Heritage Foundation yesterday (where I direct the Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom), leaders of the United States Senate and House of Representatives honoured the life and legacy of Lady Thatcher. Mitch McConnell, the Republican Leader in the Senate, and Eric Cantor, Majority Leader in the House, presented Congressional resolutions honouring the achievements of Britain’s Iron Lady, and her steadfast support for the United States and the Anglo-American Special Relationship. Tennessee Congressman Marsha Blackburn also spoke at the event, together with Steve Forbes, chairman and editor-in-chief of Forbes Media. Blackburn led the Congressional delegation that

What becomes clearer than ever, listening to the testimony of America´s most senior surviving man on the ground Greg Hicks, is that the whole business reeks of the most concerted presidential cover up since Watergate. The Super Bowl trespassing case filed by Jenny Sanford against Mark Sanford has been settled, with Mark Sanford admitting he is “in contempt for this and previous instances of trespassing” into Jenny Sanford’s home. In a consent order filed today in Charleston County Family Court, both sides said the agreement means “a full resolution” of the dispute. Another point in the settlement is that Mark Sanford will pay $5,000 to take care of Jenny Sanford’s fees and legal costs. And, if Mark Sanford does breach the agreement or the no trespassing stipulations of their divorce, “defendant waives

Fundamentals matter in American politics, and Tuesday reaffirmed what political studies have shown: There’s a direct relationship between a congressional district’s partisan makeup and its vote totals. Unlike presidential elections, where economic conditions and personal factors can have a bigger impact on the outcome, political scientists know that the “normal vote”--the portion of the vote a congressional candidate is expected to receive based on the district partisanship--is the best predictor of congressional election results. Just six months back, GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney won an 18-percentage-point victory over Barack Obama in the 1st Congressional District. Based on

It said 105 prisoners were freed in the pre-dawn raid in Bama, Borno state. Bama´s police station, military barracks and government buildings were burned to the ground, said the military and witnesses. Correspondents say extremist attacks are common in the region but the scale of bloodshed makes this raid stand out. Lord Lawson has become the most senior Tory yet to argue that we should quit the EU. What does that tell us about the state of politics that this is a newsworthy event? "Not only do our interests increasingly differ from those of the eurozone members but, while never ‘at the heart of Europe’, we are now becoming increasingly marginalised as we are doomed to being consistently outvoted by the eurozone bloc." Lord Lawson knocked back any suggestions that there would be "a heavy economic cost, making this unwise" because "the economic gains would substantially outweigh the costs."

It now appears cameras and recording devices will be allowed in Thursday’s court hearing on Mark Sanford’s alleged trespassing of his ex-wife’s home. Jenny Sanford had initially sought to ban cameras, but the filing was dismissed today. The pair will be in Charleston County Family Court after Mark Sanford said he watched the Feb. 3 Super Bowl at her Sullivan’s Island home with one of their sons. Jenny Sanford had not given him permission to be there and said it was against their divorce decree. Also, that it was part of a pattern on her ex-husband’s part.

Republican lawmakers, who have spent months seeking to tie President Obama to last year’s deadly attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, are increasingly focusing their probe on a new target: former secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton. The GOP-led investigation of the Sept. 11, 2012, assaults that killed U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three others now centers heavily on the State Department and whether officials there deliberately misled the public about the nature of the assault. Three State Department officials are scheduled to testify before a House committee on Wednesday about the Benghazi attack and its aftermath.

There was tragic incompetence, plainly, in the Obama administration’s handling of the Benghazi attacks, and even possibly some political calculation. It is a record that may well come to haunt Hillary Clinton, the first Secretary of State to lose an ambassador in the field in more than three decades, if she runs for president in 2016. But the obvious Republican effort to turn this inquiry into the Democratic (Obama) version of the Iraq intelligence scandal that has tarred the GOP since the George W. University officials said they had "previously understood" that Hawking´s decision was based solely on health concerns — he is 71 and has severe disabilities — but had now been told otherwise by Hawking´s office.
