| Banana Boat is recalling its UltraMist spray-on sunscreens after five people in the past year have literally caught on fire from wearing it, the AP reports. It's not the sunscreen that's the problem—it's the bottle. Allow us to explain: Banana Boat, owned by Energizer Holdings (seller of batteries, razors, sunscreen, and lots of other stuff found near the registers at drugstores) sold more than 20 million bottles that sprayed too much sunscreen out of the valve. I have several bottles of this product. It is the only alcohol-free sunscreen on the market and it works. The bottle also clearly states that its FLAMMABLE and to "not use near heat, flame or while smoking.".
When I apply sunscreen, I rub it in, allow it to dry and then go out into the sun. The coverage lasts longer this way and I don't tend to sweat off my sunscreen as fast. Needless to say, I'm keeping my Banana Boat.

Americans born after 1980 voted by some 25pt for President Obama over Mitt Romney, while the rest of the electorate narrowly supported the Republican candidate. It´s my view that Republicans can do little to attract most Millennials – but privacy may be the exception. I mentioned yesterday the ongoing liberal protests in North Carolina dubbed “Moral Mondays.” Protesters are self-consciously modeling their efforts on Wisconsin’s, which as I noted, doesn’t necessarily bode well for them. But it does give us a chance to witness, once again, the breathtaking double standard in media coverage for protests populated by liberals vs. protests populated by conservatives. The Florida judge presiding over George Zimmerman´s murder trial reversed herself today and announced that the jurors will be sequestered for the trial. "The parties have, both sides have, stipulated that this trial will last between two and four weeks," Judge Debra Nelson said. "Based upon that approximate stipulation, I will be sequestering the jury." Earlier the judge had ruled that the six-member jury and four alternates would be anonymous, but declined to have them sequestered. In February 2012, Zimmerman, a neighborhood watchman in Sanford, Fla., shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin after a confrontation in the dark.

A series of shootings this weekend has Chicagoans on edge. A total of 11 separate shootings since Friday night have resulted in seven deaths and at least 30 injuries in the Windy City.
