| A new Obama campaign ad directed at women voters states that Republican candidate Mitt Romney would ban abortion, but uses a Romney quote that has been cut off to distort the candidate’s stance toward the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision. The quote is from a Republican primary debate during which moderator Anderson Cooper asked the candidates, “If Roe v. Wade were overturned, Congress passed a federal ban on all abortions and it came to your desk, would you sign it? Yes or no?” The ad depicts Romney’s response as, “I’d be delighted to sign that bill,”

Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg is on record as saying that Roe V. Wade was a poorly reasoned decision, and the supreme court should have not ruled on abortion at all - that the states had laws dealing with abortion, and that state legislatures should be the ones deciding on the issue.

I follow a lot of 'on the ground' reports and inside polling #'s. Romeny seems very disciplined and is likely ready for the trash Axlemarx will drag out. Wouldn't put it past him to start a war, even right here. Mitt has to fight the Lefties, Chicago, MSM and false ads. It's a miracle he's ahead. Up to us to keep him there. Look, Romney was the governor of my state for four years. During that time, he supported abortion, contraceptives, and gay rights/marriage. He has NOT evolved, he has always supported abortion. Same with gay marriage. Let's get real. Too many people are going to be really upset if they vote for Romney and think he does not support those things. His business acumen is what we are hoping he will bring to the table. And a true love for the USA. But we do need to deal with reality.

Roe v Wade is bad law. Its legality should have been left to the states. The "right" to an abortion is like saying I have the "right" to a tonsilectomy.

I agree that this should be a STATE issue--not Federal. That said, it is disgusting how Obama and his campaign (AND administration) get away with lying and misleading people with NO consequences. I thought there were laws about truth in advertising. Isn't it illegal to knowingly misrepresent something in an ad? This editing was done intentionally. There should be legal ramifications.

When the leftys saw the Walker recall election slipping away they trotted out the war on women. Even the lefty womyn thought it was lame (but they played along). It reduced womyn to the sum of their reproductive parts & was insulting, to say the least. They ran ads with some horrendous whiny womyn & one had a mustache! (WI lotters can vouch for this..OMG it was hilarious)
When your election depends on the votes from women whose sole issue is whether or not they can maintain the legal "right" to slaughter their own offspring, you've lost the election.

Pro golfers, golf writers, and TV commentators are up in arms that Tiger Woods was only given a 2-stroke penalty for his illegal drop on the 15th hole yesterday. Tiger said last night that he dropped his ball two yards behind his previous spot, clearly violating the rule that you must drop "as nearly as possible" to your original spot. Only one of my six children has left New York for economic reasons but the strain of living in this expensive nanny state is weighing heavy on my other five and their families. As a native New Yorker, I´ve seen its middle class population decline over the years due to its neglect of blue collar families which is ironic since this is a Democrat city. With the recent arrests of several local politicians for corruption perhaps New Yorkers will pay more attention to those they put in office. Given their past indifference in local elections this is highly unlikely.
