Hillary Clinton trashes whiners

| Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says in a new interview that she can’t stand “whining” by women who are unhappy with the work and family choices they’ve made in life and complain that they have no options. Clinton, in the interview with Marie Claire, was discussing Anne-Marie Slaughter, a former director of policy planning at the State Department who left in 2011. This summer, Slaughter wrote a much-discussed cover story in the Atlantic — “Why Women Still Can’t Have It all” — about leaving her job because of the difficulty of balancing her work at State with the

Comments: Wow. That's all those leftist women do is whine. Whine about someone else paying for their birth control, blaming everyone else for their problems, etc. And you sure won't hear any of them complain about these harsh statements. Imagine if a Republican had said this.

If I cannot yell 'Fire' in a crowded theater - how come I have to listen to people going on and on about the lousy hand that life has dealt them?
I think whining should no longer be considered protected speech. Let's ban it!

Seeing that Hillary just have birth to Chelsea to increase the chances of her husband to be reelected as governor, I can imagine that she has no sympathy for those who actually put their kids first.
It is the cold, impersonal types like Hillary who all claim that we need to have the village raise our kids who make me sick. Also, the same people jump all over conservatives who suggest that raising and providing for kids is the responsibility of the family.

Obama's SOS was wife of Arkansas governor & FLOTUS. She didn't have to worry about rent/mortgage payments, cleaning, cooking, or childcare. She doesn't know what it is to be an average American woman any more than Obama knows what it is to be an American.

No one can "have it all" - not even Hillary. Slaughter stated she left government work because she would have lost her tenure at Princeton if she didn't go back within two years and she couldn't meet the needs of her two teenage sons working for the State Department. Maybe Shrillary is a little jealous of someone who seems to have a family life she enjoys.

When you read the article, I was surprised at some of the good points this old feminist makes. It was funny watching a young progressive gal on TV trying to spin that Hill didn't really say this! Oh yes, she did, honey. Op is right - narrative is just ruined for liberals because a top DEMOCRAT woman made these remarks!!

A bigtime shot across the bow at obama telling women NOT TO LISTEN to the leftists about "entitlements" and "women's issues", imho. In so many words, she is saying, Look at the economy and decide who you should vote for...hehehe.

Thought I was living in an alternate universe when I read this. Have to wonder what the motivation is behind it, given that it IS Hillary after all. Subtle revenge perhaps? If so, thanks for the gift. But I don't believe for a second that she isn't planning a run in 2016.

I haven't had the opportunity to say this very often before, but HRC was right. We all make choices, life isn't fair and I am tired of having to be understanding and inclusive. None of us know what it's like to be in anyone else's shoes. Yes, it's easier to have a lot of money (but I don't resent people for it). I am single, no kids and I realize that scheduling around other people is challenging, but where is the appreciation for my side of things, eg, I have to support myself, get everything done by myself, etc. (I'm not whining, just saying what my life is -- I can't take turns with my husband to wait for the cable guy. Or benefit from 2 salaries). Reasonable accommodations for everyone are nice, but why should I have to shoulder extra responsibilities because the mother has to leave early EVERY day, and gets in late and yet expects equal pay.
No one can have it all.

Seriously, when I first saw this headline I thought it was a satirical piece like "The Onion." Hillary, the Mega-Feminist, telling women not to whine? She who spent years whining about feminist laments before the White House, and during her husband's first term? (By the second term, Hillary was kept busy DEFENDING her husband against women!)

No, of course. Did Hillary whine when Bill got caught with his DNA on Monica's Blue Dress. Of course, she didn't. She got right in there and said there was a Right Wing Conspiracy, and it was their fault Bill spewed his body fluids all over that poor girl's dress. Hillary got right out there and tried to destroy Monica. Hillary did not whine; that is correct.

BOSTON - The U.S. Federal Public Defender Office in Boston is seeking to be appointed to represent Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings. The office commonly defends individuals who cannot afford their own attorneys in criminal cases. An official there, Charles McGinty, said its attorneys have not spoken to Tsarnaev and will have to be appointed to represent him by a federal judge. "That´s why we´re trying to advance the appointment to be as soon as possible," he said. The 19-year-old suspect was captured Friday night and remains hospitalized under guard in Boston.

And now, what’s going to happen to us without barbarians? They were, those people, a kind of solution. How many times in the last century have these concluding lines of C.?P. Cavafy’s famous 1898 poem, “Waiting for the Barbarians,” been quoted? How many modern intellectuals have pondered the subversive implications of that sophisticated question? It’s an interesting question. But it turned out to be a hypothetical one. The 20th century didn’t lack for barbarians. Indeed, modern barbarism proved more dangerous than the old-fashioned kind. As Churchill put it in his great House of Commons speech

In a joint statement, four lawmakers urge President Obama to treat the Boston bombing suspect picked up last night in Watertown, Mass. as an “enemy combatant.” Here’s the joint statement, signed by Rep. Peter King, Senators Kelly Ayotte, John McCain, and Lindsey Graham: “We applaud our law enforcement for their hard work and bravery in Boston. “It is clear the events we have seen over the past few days in Boston were an attempt to kill American citizens and terrorize a major American city. The accused perpetrators of these acts were not common criminals attempting to profit from a

After the media spent the week praying the Boston Marathon bombers wouldn´t have ties to radical Islam, it´s now going to be interesting to see how they report the religious beliefs of the Tsarnaev brothers. Failing miserably Friday was NBC´s Nightly News which despite airing a 90 minute special broadcast on the ensuing manhunt in Watertown, Massachusetts, according to an examination of the closed-caption transcript didn´t once mention the Tsarnaev´s Muslim connection. By contrast, both ABC´s World News Tonight and CBS´s Evening News did report it.

Tsarnaev in Watertown, Massachusetts Friday night, Brian Williams “dipped in” to live coverage from New England Cable News at precisely the wrong time. The station apparently didn’t realize they were getting the national exposure as all NBC viewers heard was the voice of a man who “doesn’t know s...” While at first it seemed that the voices being heard were from NECN reporters, soon the only voice was from a man who appeared to be talking

The attempted arrest of an allegedly hate-mongering teen aboard a Brooklyn subway quickly turned into a wild showdown between cops and a roiled mob, according to sources and video obtained by the Daily News. The melee began when suspect Stephan Stowe, 17, and a group of eight friends approached a Jewish man wearing a yarmulke aboard a Brooklyn-bound 3 train just before 3 p.m. Monday, police sources said Wednesday. "Assalamu Alaikum," Stowe said to the man, using a common greeting among Muslims that means, "Peace be with you,"

Tonight after the capture of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, President Obama called on Americans not to “rush to judgment against groups of people.” The president applies such thinking when terrorists strike and kill, but not to Americans who happen to disagree with him. He spent Wednesday afternoon yelling at Americans who disagree with him on gun ownership. Saturday, the political army that answers directly to Barack Obama and no one else, Organizing for Action, will muster in Dallas to target Sen. Ted Cruz for disagreeing with him on gun ownership. I caught this on Facebook tonight, after the

In an interview with National Review, Peter King, the Republican congressman from New York, argued in favor of “increased surveillance” of the Muslim community. Asserting the need to not be restricted by political correctness, King said police should realize the threat comes from Muslims. “Police have to be in the community, they have to build up as many sources as they can, and they have to realize that the threat is coming from the Muslim community and increase surveillance there,” King asserted. He added: “We can’t be bound by political correctness,” adds King, who chairs the House subcommittee on

In the wake of revelations that the Boston Marathon Bombers were engaged in Jihad, or holy war, CAIR held a press conference in Chicago today to remind Americans that this has nothing to do with Islam. Muslims guard against backlash The Council on American Islamic Relations again offered sympathy to victims of the Boston Marathon bombing on Friday, but added a plea for Americans not to generalize and conclude that Muslim teachings influenced the suspect in any way. Too bad for CAIR, the Boston Bombers disagree. CAIR is only vocal about condemning the alleged “backlash” to Jihad terrorism,

So once again, no good deed goes unpunished. Uncle Sam lets another bunch of leeching future terrorists into the country who have absolutely no business being here, gives them “asylum,” making them immediately eligible for welfare, and this is the thanks we get? They turn into mass murderers. We bring in thousands of Muslims from a primitive society that has been battling Christians for centuries, and put them into a peaceful Christian society — what could possible go wrong? This is what I was thinking about yesterday, with much of the city under what amounted to martial law.

We are still speculating about virtually everything right now, but I feel as though I need to explain why I find the quick and easy conversation about Muslims being radicalized in America to be so illogical and laced with bigotry. Of course, there is a global violent jihadist movement, loosely organized, that wants to recruit young men to influence policies at home and abroad and perhaps usher in the global caliphate. That ideology motivates some Muslims to kill innocent people. But you´re allowed to be a radical Muslim in America.

Federal law enforcement officials are actively investigating the possibility that the Boston bombers were known to the government’s terror-trackers, MailOnline understands. Any inquiry into the marathon bombing will look into whether agents could have taken action – but didn’t – to prevent the Tsarnaev brothers from obtaining the explosives that killed 3 and wounded 173 others. CBS News reported Friday evening that two years ago, the FBI interviewed the elder brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, who was killed in Thursday night´s dramatic shootout. The feds reportedly spoke to him at the request of an unspecified foreign government, but couldn´t
