It’s Not Just Obama’s Lies —
It’s the Premise of Obama’s Lies

PJ Media, by Andrew C. McCarthy

With CNN’s Candy Crowley shamelessly throwing President Obama a Libya life-preserver at Tuesday night’s debate, the so-called Mohammed video is back in the news. That ought to offend sensible people — and not just because the president, aided and abetted by Ms. Crowley, is lying when he now claims, despite weeks of denials, to have regarded the Benghazi massacre from the first as a pre-planned terrorist attack. For weeks, Obama and his minions attempted to hoodwink the country into believing that the murders of our ambassador and three other Americans were triggered when Muslim protests over a “movie”

Outstanding article by a truly brilliant defender of our Constitution. If Americans learn only one thing from our disasterous four years of the Obama regime, they should take to heart Andy's summation FTA:

It is not enough to reject Obama’s lies. It is essential to reject the premise of his lies. In our society, we get to say unkind things about icons, just as we get to speak vigorously in their defense. It is for us, the sovereign people, to weigh the merits of these competing claims without government’s meddling thumb on the scale. That is a big part of what makes Western civilization civilized.

Freedom of Speech is the core of modern science, and that's really where the concept came from. It has delivered the vast technological improvements over the past few centuries, and our high standard of living. That is one of the large differences between the U.S. and backwater Islamic countries.

Freedom of Speech started in late 17th Century Holland. The "Father" of Freedom of Speech is generally acknowledged to be Antonie van Leeuwenhoek, inventor of the microscope.

obama's Constitutional right to advocate his completely failed socialism is just a side benefit to Science Freedom of Speech. obama is no doubt completely ignorant of this historical timeline.

Every imaginary abuse of power the Left feared and hated and projected onto Bush & Co. has come true and blossomed fully under Barky.

Funny, how that is.

A very insightful observation. And a great opportunity for Romney in Monday's debate. Namely, he could ask him directly, "Mr. President, even if you thought the cause of the rioting was the video, how could you NOT defend the right of a US citizen to freely express his views as guaranteed by our constitution, which you have sworn an oath to defend?"

There is simply no way to answer that question.

Shameful collusion between O and CC -- planned or not. For one, I'm glad it was on national TV. At least the message is out there for all to see. Perhaps the next debate will be moderated more fairly? (Wishful thinking, right?)

Because Obama does not honor our Constitution, I pray everyday for an overwhelming rejection of him at the ballot box on November 6th. We need this to show the world the USA totally rejects the policies of the WON.

While the article is essentially correct, it actually highlights a bigger problem. After 2 campaigns and 4 years of a presidency, we STILL do not have an honest picture of WHO Barack Obama is and what he stands for. His actions are anti-American but he won't own up to them, instead weaseling around responsibility and accountability for them. (Never forget that HRC is aiding and abetting him!)

WHY would any American vote for this obvious and devious charlatan?

Reply 9 - Posted by: Bad Dog, 10/19/2012 7:45:39 AM     (No. 8944999)

This video excuse, I believe, may have been intended to serve as a prelude to the diminution, elimination and extinction of our Right to Free Speech. It would be only a matter of time before our ability to speak against Emperor Zero, as we do here, is threatened and perhaps prosecuted.

Even if he is defeated in 18 days, there is still the lame duck period where enormous further damage can, and likely will, be done. I foresee a huge landslide coming but it won't bury him, or his embedded minions.

Gawd, I hate putting my brain and thoughts into progressive mode - it feels so filthy. But it's necessary to understand them and try to stay ahead of their plans. I want to live clean again.

When I see relatively new and expensive motor vehicles in my village plastered with Obama campaign stickers, I know that these well off neighbors want something and think that Obama's game plan will get them what they seek.

That's what really scares me about my neighbors: I don't know what they seek!

I do know what I have lost and will lose if this evil metrosexual gets a second term!

Reply 12 - Posted by: stryker714, 10/19/2012 8:32:56 AM     (No. 8945104)

Another aspect of the premise of Obama's lies is who he is frequently fighting with when he lies-his administration and himself. He is fighting, contradicting, what he, his administration have done and said in the past. Is this the new normal? No outside agitator needed-this man whoops himself-from the "no I didn't" on reduced Federal land drilling permits to "I called it a terrorist attack". Amazing. They think we don't remember what they said last month, last week or even yesterday.

"Parse", above, is dead on. Seems we have attorneys(a has-been, anyway) running the nation. The democrats think they can use court room semantics and the American people will just naively go along with their hair-splitting modus. NO we won't!

No president in history deserves more respect than does an AMERICAN CITIZEN! You people owe us respect, not vice versa. The American Citizen is the authority and power in this country.

Obama's sentiment has always been with the Muslims. Whenever he talks out "us" in glowing terms, it never rings true. He is not one of us and it is the wrong time in history to have such a man as our leader.

Reply 15 - Posted by: cake crumb, 10/19/2012 8:44:11 AM     (No. 8945135)

The premise behind Obama's lies is simple, and when you think "Democrat" or "university" in any context, you'd do well to associate this premise with them:

Every single dictator has reflexively hated the freedom which this country represents simply because with freedom comes power, and when the masses have power the government has no control over them except by consent or by force. Obama has the contempt for personal power that all dictators do.

#11, they seek to feel good about themselves. They choose to believe that they are being socially responsible and helping those less fortunate than themselves by voting Democrat. They are also too lazy and self-centered to actually help anyone in their spare time. It's better to travel and watch "Homeland" than to actually get out and volunteer and help their neighbors, so they "help" by paying more in taxes. Besides, the needy can be so annoying and smelly and...needy.

If I knew what he was then, the shame to our nation is, so did the media pundits who so slavishly supported him. All true Andrew, but drill down deeper. Obama framed Christians for the violence. That was always the intent. If he can dhimmify Christians, he controls freedom of religion and freedom of speech. He has created purposeful instability around Israel by removing muslim strongmen and promoting an Islamist-enabling Arab Spring as a democratic movement. He wears a muslim ring engraved with "There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is his prophet;" and he says "The future will not belong to those that slander [blaspheme] the Prophet of Allah". What Christian is this? His mission is chaos, to lift up Islam, and to bring America down so that it cannot defend freedom. He is a dedicated tool of Muslim last days chaos, which is the state of the world when the muslim 12th mahdi, or "missing" mahdi now in "deep occultation", will return, punish the evil doers, and set up a caliphate. He is not just a radical leftist and a racist. He is a domestic enemy, and he is unrecognizable as such. If he loses, he has left Romney to undo a mess that caused Achmadinijad to say yesterday "How long can the debt laden America remain as a superpower?' This is the same enemy who agreed with the video strategy Obama put forth. If he wins he will enable this last days prophecy: "They will kill you and think they are doing God a service." [John 6:2] Pray and fast Nov.1. Then vote like your your safety and freedom depends on just your vote.

He says he admires Lincoln... Part of me believes Obama fears he would not make it through a second term. I believe he would be forced to hole up in the White House and spend a lot of time abroad. The time after the election would be the most turbulent since the Civil War amongst the public. There will be elements who will not accept the further dismantling of our Constitution. However, he would be undeterred and proceed full bore. I hope history doesn't repeat itself but it may be out of our hands. Pray for a Romney victory.

So very much wrong with Benghazi-gate including the fact that the cover-up is not the worst thing about it. There's the incompetence, the callous disregard for life and reality in the Middle East in favor of false political and personal narratives, the pretext to attack speech and the constitution, the creation of an Islamic "right to be offended," the empowerment of jihadists all over the Middle East ...

The worst thing is not that he lied, the worst thing is that he conducts foreign policy with violent foreign American enemies by attacking people in America. That Coptic Christian has justifiable rage (expressed in a peaceful manner) at the source of the persecutors of Copitic Christians. The Obama foreign policy? Attack the unkown and ignored Coptic by identifying him and holding up as vile even while the persecutors use him as pretext for persecution, terror and acts of war.

Attacking America as a major plank of foreign policy ... sound familiar? That chair is occupied by something far less benign than emptiness.

Then there's the denunciation of Islamic blasphemy thing. Still waiting for your secretary of state to show up at a hilarious and courageous liberal NY blasphemusical on Islam (instead of "The Book of Mormon") with the hit number "Hasa Diga, Allah." This is righteous liberal blasphemy, but the future must not belong to those who slander ... ? Yes, well Hasa Diga, Obama. Whatever that means.

This is on point but needs to be expanded. The video story was sitting on the shelf since July to be used at an appropriate muslim uprising. The Libyan attack was tailer made occuring right before Obama would address the UN. His administration used the video as an attempt to restrain our constitutional rights to free speech. His Fast and Furious program was a similar attempt to restrict our rights to gun ownership. BTW, Hillary took the blame because Obama offered her a Supreme Court seat. She risked nothing because as we have seen there is no consequence to accepting "blame".
Thank God this happened during an election cycle when opposition actually gets air time to point out the obvious to the press.

FTA "When government’s coercive power is put in the service of the heckler’s veto, when it becomes the “ad hoc nullification machine” by which corrupt officials smother constitutional protections that inconvenience their cronies, then that government is no longer legitimate".

This is precisely what Thomas Jefferson wrote about. Remember, in the final sentences in the Declaration of Independence, he said, and I paraphrase, that"when a government descends into tyranny it is the RIGHT and DUTY for a free people to rise and throw off that government". If Obozo should get re-elected, it will be time to put those words into practice.

When teetering on a double edge sword the incompetent will be forced to decide which blade edge can be best survived. Then begins the lies spins and all the other deceits to influence that balancing act.
Obama was forced into killing Bin Laden and with wild bravado decided he could claim that as his reelection banner UNTIL the Queda death threats began to seep in without publicity. That's when he tipped the sword edge and believed he could deceive the American public while further bowing to the demands of the Brother Hood.First the Seals and ending with the terror attack.
Where can he turn now with the latest reports tearing apart his lies and the specter of falling on the wrong side of that sword is near.
As the old saying goes 'whata tangled web we weave when we first seek to deceive.'

If I were a betting person, I would bet one hundred dollars (worth about 25 dollars today) that Obama is going to win. I think that there are that many very stupid and uncaring people in this country at this time. People are just living day to day, getting to the Post Office and getting their food stamps and cell phones, thanking Obama for them. This is a pathetic country now - no one cares about the country anymore - just for themselves and that is the way they will vote. It will take about 6 months for them to wake up and realize what has happened to our wonderful country - just because they were too dumb to figure out that Obama is the cause of it ALL......

Not only is obama able to say two differing things at the same time like Bill Clinton, he gets way with it for same reason, the very dem helpful stars-in-their-eyes media celebrity wannabees. Mingling with and servicing power more appealing than speaking truth to it. Combo kept woman and vicious watchdog like the fake scenario of Osama's woman rushing to his defense and getting leg shot? obama's dreams more fanciful than his father's whoever that composite was.

The lies as a smokescreen is safer than letting the dust settle and people start saying "Gee, we did get successfully attacked on 9-11 again."

Their is too much stuff on obama and admin to bring up and get through before the election that just another personifying debate should put Mitt well over the top.

No military wag-the-dog will help as it would old pol Bill. Public is war weary and it would have taken a big hype aabout the al Qaeda attack to get them to beat the drums of war. Shoot a missile across Libya now and people might carry pitchforks and torches onto the WH.

The election in November is the most important decision point for this country since its founding. By nearly all accounts, the Obama presidency has been an abject failure: over $6 trillion in added debt, record unemployment, and a health care bill which will ADD over $1.68 trillion in new costs over the next decade when it was supposed to reduce the nation's health care bill.

Obama is a narcissist who showed his true idealogy with his remarks in Norfolk, Virginia. Here is how Charles Krauthammer summed it up: "Obama’s deeply revealing, teleprompter-free you-didn’t-build-that confession of faith needs to be hung around his neck until Election Day."

WE MUST CHANGE HIM OUT IN NOVEMBER!!!

At least three, according to the Government Accountability Office, which on Tuesday released its 2013 report on fragmentation and duplication of federal programs. This year´s report -- there were two previous editions of the report first requested by Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla. -- documents an estimated $95 billion in duplicative programs that waste precious tax dollars. That brings the three-year total of potential savings documented by GAO to $295 billion. Outside, supporters hoisted signs urging her to run for president. Inside, she was greeted as a hero. Not that Mr. Biden was an afterthought. He had plenty of friends in the room. Every four years, the American Society of Civil Engineers issues the U.S. an infrastructure "report card." And, just as predictably, it says that U.S. infrastructure is decrepit and needs expensive new investments. The latest one, released last month, gave the nation a D+ grade and recommended an extra $1.6 trillion in spending by 2020. Are American bridges actually falling, though? Is the U.S. underinvested in infrastructure? Maybe it´s going too far to say,

The murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell largely is being ignored by the mainstream media, even in the face of grisly testimony, such as what we heard yesterday. Life News reports: ...a former employee described how she heard a baby scream during a live-birth abortion. Abortion clinic employee Sherry West described an incident which "really freaked (her) out" and related to the jury how she heard a child who was born alive following an abortion scream.

HARTFORD, Conn. -- With time running out on the chance to pass gun control legislation, President Barack Obama on Monday warned Congress not to use delaying tactics against tighter regulations and told families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims that he´s "determined as ever" to honor their children with tougher laws. Obama´s gun control proposals have run into resistance on Capitol Hill, leaving their fate in doubt. Efforts by Senate Democrats to reach compromise with Republicans over expanding required federal background checks have yet to yield an agreement, and conservatives were promising to try

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

Chelsea Clinton has raised her profile in the last few days, which sparked the inevitable question about the former first daughter´s future: Will she ever be like Mom and Dad and run for office? Clinton, 33, essentially said "maybe" in an interview that aired Monday on NBC´s Today show. "Right now I´m grateful to live in a city, a state and a country where I strongly support my mayor, my governor, my president and my senators and my representative," said Clinton, whose father, Bill, was president from 1993-2001 and her mother, Hillary

More than 700 Special Operations veterans are urging members of Congress to back a select committee to investigate last year’s Benghazi terrorist attack, according to a letter first obtained by Fox News. The letter from the group, “Special Operations Speaks,” supports the appointment of a special committee tasked with the single mission of investigating the attack that left Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans dead, and shut down the CIA operation in an annex of the Benghazi consulate, in the Sept. 11, 2012 attack. “Congress must show some leadership and provide answers to the public

There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.

The case of a same-sex Connecticut couple accused of repeatedly raping and abusing two of their nine adopted boys is headed for trial. Married couple George Harasz and Douglas Wirth of Glastonbury were supposed to be sentenced Friday in Hartford Superior Court under a plea deal, but instead withdrew from their agreement with prosecutors. The men had already pleaded no contest in January to one felony count each of risk of injury to a minor — a reduction from even more serious charges related to sexual assault....

More than six months since Ambassador Christopher Stevens was assassinated by terrorists in Benghazi, the Obama administration is still trying to keep a lid on information about the attack. Congress and the American people need to know what happened the night of Sept. 11, 2012. Who did the killing and what was their motive? Why wasn´t help sent? And why did the administration lie about who was responsible? Members of Congress have asked hundreds of questions at hearings conducted by several investigative committees, but many of the most significant have been left unanswered.
