Most coverage Dinesh has ever had in the NYT?

Separated from his wife for two years and in the process of a divorce, D'Souza had the temerity to become engaged to another woman.

Persons he had offended in his past have used this to go after him. Or allowed themselves to be used by the Obama campaign machine to go after him?

The anatomy of a hatchet job:

Not everyone at the school had been pleased with Mr. D’Souza’s appointment. Marvin Olasky, the school’s provost, left. “It will come as no surprise to you that Dinesh D’Souza and I have different ideas about some things,” he was quoted as saying in Christianity Today.

Another figure whose affiliation with the school came to an end was Warren Cole Smith, a consultant whose contract Mr. D’Souza chose not to renew.

Both men played a role in Mr. D’Souza’s departure: Mr. Olasky is the editor in chief of World Magazine, the publication that broke the news of Mr. D’Souza’s marital circumstances. Mr. Smith reported and wrote the article.



They saw him at a conference with a woman he introduced as his fiancee. D'Souza has said that although they travelled together to the conference, they had separate rooms.

Yesterday on a thread about this I was dismayed to see some LDotters decide that he was having some sort of illicit affair without even having read the article that contained exculpatory information. Presumed guilty.

Of course this is headline news for NYT.
Just like it was for John Edwards--a presidential candidate!--when he was having an affair and a love child.
Just like it was with Jessie Jackson and his long-time mistress.

NYT is just plain scum

This is none of our business. And certainly none of the NYTimes' business. They certainly have selective memory..

I agree #2, you would think he was getting Lewinsky's in his office.

"Christian" schools and churches are no less left wing than the rest of the establishment. Too bad D'Souza didn't learn the lesson of Gingrich and remain above reproach even in his personal life.

Isn't it strange that the left who have always held that peoples private lives are no one elses business are so quick to jump on the private life of Mr D'Souza? Never mind that the activity was legal and as far as anyone knows moral, the attempt to besmirch D'Sousa and incidentally his film 2016 is typical of the left.

All of the sudden the NYTs goes Victorian on us.

We just don't know the circumstances. I say cut D'nesh some slack.

When you have the temerity to tell the truth about the Left, be prepared to be followed and attacked. You must be above reproach. Consider the reactions to Bob Packwood's flirtations vs. Barney Frank's lover running a gay whorehouse out of Frank's apartment.

The Obama campaign is flummoxed that their opponent is a millionaire who has been honest in his business affairs and who has been faithful to his wife. They think Romney's odd because he still adores Ann.
