| A new poll shows Republican Mitt Romney leading in Pennsylvania, a state that Republicans had all but written off just weeks ago but which is now listed as a toss up by the Real Clear Politics website. Susquehanna Polling and Research provided The Washington Examiner with a poll it conducted for state party officials that shows Romney with a 49 percent to 45 percent lead over President Obama. IMO PA is tougher than Ohio. A large part of it could be the voting in the major cities where turnout keeps surpassing registration; somehow. But if Romney takes PA early on in the evening it's game over for 0bama. It will then just become a question of how large the Romney victory is.

If Republicans gave up on Pennsylvania then they are more hopeless than we thought. It's time for another round of tossing out career incumbents and bringing in new kids. The coal and other energy industries are taking a beating and all of those workers clearly see that Obama is behind it. If we can control the corruption in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Scranton, Pennsylvania will go red.

Never heard of this poll, but if it is accurate and Romney takes Pennsylvania, this election is over.
Did the polling sample include registered dead people and cartoon characters? Word has it those groups are expected to have high turnout in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.

Actually, she is backing off. Here’s the thing about her now-famous MSNBC promo: Either she’s saying something radical or she’s saying something so banal that it’s barely even worth saying. The radical interpretation is that she thinks parents should have less say over how their children are raised and that “communities” should have a larger role. The very, very banal interpretation is that she thinks communities should do more to improve children’s lives and that thinking of them as “our children” might help forge that mentality. Mitch McConnell and some consultants disparaging Ashley Judd is not news. It´s the sausage being made. We´ve got full background here, but the toplines are this: Corn got hold of a conversation apparently recorded during a presentation by consultants to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell´s reelection campaign. The consultants were opposition researchers, hired by the campaign to ferret out damaging information about actress Ashley Judd, who at one point considered running against McConnell.
