Rise of the Mediacracy
Canada Free Press, by Daniel Greenfield

Original Article

Posted By:snowcloud, 10/18/2012 12:53:30 PM

A nation where governments are elected by the people is most vulnerable at the interface between the politicians and the people. The interface is where the people learn what the politicians stand for and where the politicians learn what the people want. The bigger a country gets, the harder it is to pick up on that consensus by stopping by a coffee shop or an auto repair store. That’s where the Medicracy steps in to control the consensus. The media is no longer informative, it is conformative.

Comments:
Stunning assessment of the current government-administration/media complex.

We live in Washington state. We still have not got our ballot or the voter information pack. Is anyone else having this problem? We are going to hand deliver our ballot. There is plenty of voter fraud going on.

Poster #1, I live in Shoreline and we received the Voters Pamphlet this Tuesday. I haven't brought in yesterday's mail yet, so don't know if the absentee ballots have arrived.
BTW..Washington state has mail-in voting only, and that's why we only 'elect' marxists. Most ballots marked for a Republican gets tossed.

Obama spite continues as the main underlying trademark of his destructive presidency. With the horrific Boston Marathon terrorist attack, less than two weeks old, and at the very same time defense lawyers for abortion practitioner Kermit Gosnell defend him from murder charges in court, Obama will attend a Planned Parenthood fundraising gala on Thursday. Obama, Champion of Partial Birth Abortions of Record, is as lukewarm in his criticism of the House of Horrors run by Gosnell as he was in his criticism of the suspects following the Boston Marathon bombing.

Law abiding U.S. citizens are looking up the barrel of a gun as their rights are shattered in front of their eyes. Some of the most vocal proponents for gun control are the radical home-grown terrorists still enchanted with the gangrenous rot of guerrillas and genocidal murderers. The war against guns is being waged on the battlefield of propaganda and Hollywood. That’s why it’s critical, in the discussion on gun control, to go back to “the sixties,” not to 2012 in Newtown.Bill Ayers In his 2001 memoir Fugitive Days, boasting of his life as a Sixties radical,

A bomb-making manual, written in Arabic and published less than two months ago, made its rounds on sites used by Muslim terrorists worldwide. The manual provides specific instructions on the best methods of packaging a bomb using a pressure cooker. Previously, the English language Muslim terrorist magazine published under the name Inspire carried similar instructions, although the instructions contained within this newest manual appear to be far more advanced by comparison.

Anyone who remembers the Cuban missile crisis or has an accurate historical understanding of those events just over a half-century ago will recall the tense talk of World War III by the average American. Russian missiles in Cuba pitted a face-off between the United States and the Soviet Union. It resulted in a naval blockade of Cuba and several days of uncertainty as the world watched and waited to see who blinked first. Although the crisis ended without planetary destruction by nuclear bombs,

In present-day America, we are being bombarded with increasingly dire headlines about the condition of our nation. Common elements among these headlines of domestic disorder and discontent are reports of unbridled government overreach into our lives, from much-publicized gun control laws, warrantless searches and seizures, to the perverse and absurdly shameful degradation of our human dignity at the hands of the TSA and the DHS. Today, we are facing an assault on our freedoms for which those who lived before us have shed their blood, entrusting us with the gift of an indivisible nation under God. Yes, under God.

Children have always been political pawns where overbearing leftwing regimes are concerned. Political Science professor and small-time MSNBC weekend host Melissa Harris-Perry is tripping down the primrose path as carved out by the trademark lean-on-the-kids Barack and Mrs. Obama. For almost five years Barack Obama has talked almost exclusively to university and school children. Imperious, duck-the-adults Obama has his very own Youth Corps. With zero experience and zero charisma, Michelle Obama has remained stubbornly on school children’s’ lunch plate.

In midst of the modern, mindless battle to drive religion completely from American life, a small and inconvenient fact has been ignored: Virtually every important, original American idea is a product of Christianity. Further, had these doctrines never been developed, the US would arguably not been nearly as productive, free or happy. These ideas involve property, liberty, and the rule of law.Today the government bears down upon the Constitution, menacing the Bill of Rights and our entire way of life, offering to trade our freedoms for the supposed security of state control. For the many whose complaints were marginalized when New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan invited President Barack Obama to the legendary Al Smith dinner two weeks before the November 6 election on the weak-kneed alibi that “he invited Mitch Romney too”: Cardinal Dolan gave abortion-loving Vice President Joe Biden Holy Communion and a gleeful shout-out from the altar of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, New York City on Palm Sunday. Most shamefully and unabashedly, yes he did.Even as the faithful were honouring the beginning of Holy Week 2013 in the memory of Christ riding a donkey into Jerusalem,

If President Barack Obama is serious about pioneering a Congress-paid, $100-million mapping expedition into the human brain, he should seek the help of celebrated brilliant brain surgeon Dr. Ben Carson. But it’s far more likely that megalomanic Obama is only jumping onto the human brain study bandwagon because that’s where the increasingly popular Dr. Carson is. “Obama, who jokingly labeled himself “Scientist-in-Chief”, said the so-called BRAIN Initiative could create jobs and eventually lead to answers to ailments including Parkinson’s and autism and help reverse the effect of a stroke.

The new battle-cry to save a disappearing Republic should begin with the words: “Set our children free”. While the President Barack Obama-led Socialist regime in Washington calls the tune by keeping the bouncing ball over the concept of Government-Fighting-Patriots, the real battle is the one where it gets to take over your children. With all eyes trained expectantly on the latest Obama executive order; with the definition of one man, one woman marriage being rewritten by the Supreme Court, progressives in office have been working out the details to come up with a way to capture your children.

Former famed CIA director David Petraeus apologized last week for his blackmail-able extramarital affair with sycophant author Paula Broadwell that “caused such pain for [his] family, friends and supporters,” during an event honoring the military at the University of Southern California. While it must have been devastating for his wife Holly of 37 years to have to go to the family doctor to be tested for sexually transmitted diseases thanks to her husband’s infidelity and lies—something all spouses and partners need to do under such circumstances, that is between them. The truth is Petraeus is getting off easy.

In Obama´s Audacity of Hope, he stated, "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in any ugly direction." He also asserted in Bob Woodward´s Obama´s Wars, "We can absorb [another] terrorist attack." These are two straightforward statements that raise the question of whether a man who has been seemingly obsessed with reaching out to "the Muslim world" since taking office is capable of fulfilling his duty as commander-in-chief to keep America safe and secure.

In debate classes or law school, it is often referred to as the ‘arguing against the non-existing opponent’ tactic. The way it works is you imply your opponent is making an outlandish, unsavory claim (though he isn’t), hoping others will run with it or, at worst, that your opponent won’t sufficiently correct it and the claim sticks. To illustrate, imagine Sally is arguing in favor of marijuana’s legalization against Tom. In the middle of the debate, Tom suddenly shrieks: “Well, Sally, you can talk about legalizing marijuana all you want but I just don’t believe

THE graying man flashing fury in the Rose Garden on behalf of the Newtown families, the grieving man wiping away tears after speaking at the Boston memorial service, is not the same man who glided into office four years ago. President Obama has watched the blood-dimmed tide drowning the ceremony of innocence, as Yeats wrote, and he has learned how to emotionally connect with Americans in searing moments, as he did from the White House late Friday night after the second bombing suspect was apprehended in Boston.

George W. Bush will return to the spotlight this week for the dedication of his presidential library, an event likely to trigger fresh public debate about his eight fateful years in office. But he reemerges with a better public image than when he left Washington more than four years ago. Since then, Bush has absented himself from both policy disputes and political battles. A new Washington Post-ABC News poll suggests that the passage of time and Bush’s relative invisibility have been beneficial to a chief executive who left office surrounded by controversy.

President Obama´s sequester scare strategy has been a political flop, but his government keeps trying. The latest gambit is to force airline flight delays until enough travellers stuck on tarmacs browbeat enough Republicans to raise taxes again. This week the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) began furloughing each of its air-traffic controllers for one day out of every 10 to achieve roughly $600 million in savings this fiscal year. The White House dubiously claims that the furloughs are required by the sequester spending cuts enacted in 2011.

The two suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings were not licensed to have the firearms they used in several shootouts with police on Friday, Reuters reported Sunday night. The news that the suspects were not authorized to own firearms will likely add fuel to calls for tougher gun laws – an issue that was put on the back-burner last week after the Senate blocked the central elements of a gun-control package backed by President Obama. The most glaring fact about our president is that he is an empty suit. The people around him are also empty suits. They believe in nothing, really, but unearned luxury, unmerited adulation, and unaccountable power. Those whom we have come to call "leftists" are in fact nothing but nihilists, and we flatter them when we presume that they value anything beyond their vanities, their avarice, and their selfishness. When tragedy strikes, like in the Boston bombing, these empty suits can look and

It’s a common impulse, although less common than it used to be. The news audience has been chopped up into ideological camps, and CNN’s middle way has been clobbered in the ratings. Apparently the latest craze in NYC is to let your babies’ freak flags fly by letting them go commando: When Jada Shapiro decided to raise her daughter from birth without diapers, for the most part, not everyone was amused. Ms. Shapiro scattered little bowls around the house to catch her daughter’s offerings, and her sister insisted that she use a big, dark marker to mark the bowls so that they could never find their way back to the kitchen. But “elimination communication,” as the diaper-free method of child-rearing is called,
