The unsuitability of Obama for the oval office was apparent from the moment he was inaugurated, or even before. Why are these 'rats waiting until right before the election to speak out? I don't think Manchin was there when Obamacare passed. His shooting at a poster of cap and trade has given him a lot political capital in a coal,gun slinging state.There's a lot of dem legacy voters in WVa even though the population is conservative.Coal unions have abandoned Obama in a lot of areas.Obama's tin ear on everyday Americans is killing him.

Yet, Joe Manchin isn't demaning Senate leader Harry Reid offer an actual budget as required by the Constitution, right?
The Senate Democrats could have helped avoid a fiscal cliff by being responsible instead of political.
Now, Obamination is threatening veto if Republicans don't allow tax increases on the wealthiest - which won't even put a dent into the deficit so is not the solution or answer.

Here in Ohio, Old Sherrod Brown, an Obama sycophant, seems to be holding off Mandel. I am hoping for a reversal here in Ohio and we send another Republican to the Senate.
The Senate has been an ineffective institution during these past four years and needs some new blood to bring life back into it.

You have to realize that the Democrats are no longer the party of the working class. The party of the working class is the party of the Reagan Democrats - that is, the GOP. Time for tough love - get Manchin to switch parties or be gone. Circulate a petition or something.

We're finally getting close to the election, so the polling organizations are going to have to start to get serious with the numbers, otherwise sticking with the "funny numbers" to the election could devastate their reputations, such as they are.
So conservative candidates will all start to "surge", even though the electorate is probably the same as its been.

I'm glad that the people of WV have been awake at least as far as zippy is concerned. I lived there 20 years ago when the state was solidly blue. In 2008 zippy admitted that he planned to wipe out the coal mining industry and yet the people in western PA still voted for him. West Virginians didn't. Now they need to wake up about Manchin.

Dems are only now getting the bad news. They thought they could count on Obama and the unions to hold the fort for the last 3 weeks. They are only now meeting the people and discovering that the people feel betrayed. Suddenly they are concerned about their secure seat in the Senate. They know BO will monopolize funds from DNC. BOSTON – The uncle of the two men suspected in the Boston Marathon bombings says they had lived together in Cambridge for about a decade. WBZ-TV spoke with the suspects’ uncle, Ruslan Tsarni. Tsarni says Dzhokar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev immigrated to the United States around 2000 or 2001, and have lived at the same Cambridge address since that time. Not long ago, a local TV station promoted itself as the "Spirit of Texas." Commercials showed Texans of all ages and colors. They danced together, shared thrills and celebrated life´s joys. As I noted earlier, yesterday’s Senate votes on the Manchin-Toomey amendment as well as other provisions ended the chances that any gun control legislation will pass Congress this year. While Democrats like House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and California Senator Dianne Feinstein have vowed to keep pushing for assault weapon bans and other proposals that have zero chance of passage, from this point forward the debate will be conducted solely with an eye toward public opinion and next year’s midterm election, not any specific legislation. The Gang of Eight’s “comprehensive” immigration-reform bill contains a number of superficially attractive security mandates: It would require the federal government to have 100 percent “situational awareness” of the border, to catch 90 percent of illegal border-crossers in high-traffic areas, to establish a tracking system to address the problem of those who enter the country illegally but overstay their visas, etc. So attractive are those goals that we have supported them in the past, on the many occasions upon which the government has promised to achieve them. Disappointingly, Washington keeps failing to deliver on its promises.

After extracting only the most minimal tax hike from Republicans, crying wolf and losing on the sequester and then getting smacked down on anti-gun legislation you, can understand how Democrats may be a little down in the dumps. Well, here are some more worries for them to ponder: 1. Complaining about and name-calling the “shameful” senators who opposed the background checks on guns depresses turnout and fundraising, leading to losses in red state races critical for Democrats to hold the Senate in 2014. 2. While the media are bearing the brunt of public skepticism over the handling of the Boston bombing, the behavior of government is also eroding public trust. Yesterday´s promised but cancelled news briefing is just one symptom. Andrew McCarthy of PJM notes that "Misinformation rather than enlightenment has been the order of the day in the investigation of Monday´s terrorist bombing of the Boston Marathon," and that part of it is the natural outgrowth of the desire of investigators to keep the details of their investigations secret, so as not to alert suspects.
