| The mainstream media has speculated that the religious right may not be enthusiastic about Mitt Romney’s candidacy, but Evangelicals and Catholics in swing states like Colorado and Iowa are enthused because of social and -- more importantly in 2012 -- economic issues, and these voters may help tip these states toward Romney. According to the Denver Post: In the most organized barrage made by so-called faith voters in a decade, evangelicals and Catholics are walking precincts, registering neighbors to vote and wedging Christian voter guides under windshield wipers in hopes of making President Barack Obama a one-term president.

Looks like the various segments on the Right are unifying for victory. People with traditional religious beliefs, pro-military folks, free market supporters, and conservatives in general are all coming together to oust the Phony One.

I ind it interesting that about a year ago, the mainstream media narrative was that a mormom could not possibly be supported by evangelicals or catholics, and they offered polling numbers to support that narrative.

Obama seems to think the Catholics he knows- Michael Pfleger, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and Kathleen Sibelius, represent the majority inside the Church. They do not.
For those who say Catholics are divided, they are not. The US Catholic Conference of Bishops are unanimously opposed to the HHS mandate. That's about as rare as a 9-0 Supreme Court decision.

I am Southern Baptist. Over the last 4 years, I have noticed every time members of our church work for things that are important to our Christian beliefs (working with the homeless, protesting abortion, standing up for traditional marriage, working to see candidates with strong moral characters getting elected, etc), we always find ourselves standing shoulder to shoulder with Catholics.
And when we talk during these events, we always seem to find that we have the same reasons for being there -- our faith in Jesus Christ, our families, and the future of our country.
Isn't it ironic that the lie-beral messiah, N∅bama, has done more for interfaith outreach than anything a bunch of ministers could have ever done...

#8, you expressed my own thoughts eloquently. I am a life long Catholic (aka cradle Catholic) and it gladdens my heart that we share a commitment to the important religious and moral issues facing us as Christians. Liberals have done more to bring us together than anything I have seen in my life time. Over time, I hope we will continue to work together to change the secular culture poisoning our country.

I will admit that at first I was not enthused about Romney as the apparent nominee back in the early summer but the last two months I have been very impressed with him. Cannot wait for next month.

A very courageous fifth-grade teacher in the Chicago Public Schools has written a scathing critique of the almost comical misery she and her students endured when they participated in a massive February 28 event kicking off Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! Active Schools campaign. The First Lady’s campaign is an effort to improve (and in some cases, bring back) physical education in American schools. White House officials called the event “a groundbreaking, earth-shattering, awesomely-inspiring day.” Lisa Putnam and her fifth grades most certainly did not experience the event the same way, however.

President Obama must have been stunned at the "audacity" of Dr. Benjamin Carson in challenging his core assumptions right to his face in front of thousands of people at the National Prayer Breakfast. Obama is not used to being challenged, especially in public, even if indirectly and without being specifically named. From the look on his face, it was obvious Obama was none too pleased with Carson´s message or with his "presumptuousness" in presenting it in that forum, while he had to sit still and -- remain silent.

In a stunning end to one of the most aggressively unsuccessful tenures in retail history, JCPenney (JCP) last night announced that CEO Ron Johnson would be leaving effective immediately. Myron Ullman, Johnson´s predecessor at JCPenney, takes office as CEO. When Johnson was initially wooed by JCPenney, it was to serve as CEO with Ullman as Chairman. In January 2012, Ullman was unceremoniously removed from the board. Gone with Ullman was any control the Board of Directors had over Ron Johnson and his control of JCPenney resources.
