Is a Landslide Win in the Cards for Romney?

| When two University of Colorado Professors trumpeted a landslide win for Mitt Romney this August, many of the pundits from both sides of the isle dismissed it as fantasy. Well…as we get closer to Election Day, that “fantasy” is increasingly looking more like it may become reality. Their projection is a 330-208 Electoral College victory for Governor Romney, which would be a net loss of 160 for President Obama from ‘08. Keep in mind there has been some shifting of Electors from blue states to red states, but that’s still quite a turnaround from his dominant win four years ago.

There is some talk of the possibility of an "October Surprise" bombing of Libya or a capture of the terrorists who were involved in the 9/11/12 attacks. I still don't think that's enough to save Obama. People have HAD IT.

Something is off about this article. How can PA be "safer" for Zero when just yesterday it was reported that R&R were within 4 points? This was a state he won with double digits four years ago. As for the surprise attack, bomb all you want Zippy, it ain't going to work. People are tired of your failed economic policies. I think the die is cast.

A landslide would be nice, but I doubt it.
I'll take a win margin greater than the margin of recount fraud.

A landslide would be a well deserved repudiation of Obama and his abject failures in office. The last time we had someone this incompetent in the Oval Office was during the Carter administration.

Has a president ever won a second term by a smaller margin than the first term election? No! Sometimes the Electoral College was a bit closer, but you either win more votes or lose outright.

I am very excited to watch the press go into total melt down mode after Romney wins. If he wins huge, it will be so interesting. Will the TV shows respect Conservatives, put Mitt on the wall in offices of sitcoms, (Bones, Law and Order), will the late night comedians still BACK OFF, like they have done with Obama? I know it will just go back to Bush bashing days. But I am hoping against hope that the lack of views, the canceled cable subscribers and loss of income may tone it down for a bit. I can dream can't I?

If people were listening to Romney "no tax on interest, dividends or capital gains", it should be the basis of a huge landslide. The idea of capping deductions at 20-25k sounds like a very interesting concept. However, none of the talking heads are even discussing it.

No, it's not! He may even lose. He's losing in OH, which he needs desperately. He's contending with a DNC media that is entirely in the tank for Dear Liar, including phonies like Krauthammer and Will, and he's contending with people like Limbaugh on the right who say its gonna be a landslide so don't send money, don't volunteer, don't bother dragging your friends to the polls. You will not want to live in this country after 4 more years of Obama. BTW, we're losing the Senate race as well. Time to pull your head out from under the covers and join the battle in the event you care about what is happening to the nation.

The nation needs to send a strong message Nov. 7th, if only to overcome the inevitable fraud from the left. President Romney must vigorously punish all instances of vote fraud. No more, "well we won, so let's put it behind us", The left are like the Jihadists, they cannot be reasoned with and must be punished for their crimes against America. Holder, Obama, Sebellius, et al must be put on trial and their crimes exposed. We have tolerated treason for too long, and it's time to make the traitors pay.

MIAMI -- Lilly Pulitzer hosted parties in her bare feet and wasn´t afraid to get a little messy - just as long as she looked good and had fun, too. In the late 1950s, the Palm Beach socialite had time to spare and a wealthy husband who owned citrus groves, so she opened an orange juice stand just off the island´s main shopping street. Pulitzer needed to hide all the juice stains on her clothes, though. Instead of just putting on an apron, she asked her seamstress to make some sleeveless dresses

An attempt by Colorado lawmakers to ban welfare recipients from withdrawing their benefits at ATMs located inside strip clubs was killed by Democrats Thursday night, even though the state House’s third-ranking Democratic legislator supported the measure. Democratic Rep. Dan Pabon lent his support to the Republican-led proposal, offered as an amendment during a debate on the state budget Thursday night, because it would hew to a similar federal rule, according to the Denver Post. Pabon introduced a bill on the issue two years ago, but it didn’t clear the state Senate. State welfare recipients receive their benefits

Add the name of Michelle Lynne (ne Robert) Kosilek to the list of modern phenomena the Founding Fathers would definitely not appreciate being blamed for. Little did they know what havoc they would someday wreak by adding the Eighth Amendment to the Constitution to prohibit “cruel and unusual punishment.” Now comes Kosilek, a convicted wife murderer doing life without parole. He/she is claiming that it would be cruel and unusual punishment to deny him/her a sex-change operation — excuse me, “gender-reassignment surgery.”Not to get too graphic, but Kosilek is begging for elective amputation of a body part.

PLEASE don’t ask me this anymore. It’s such a silly question. Of course Hillary is running. I’ve never met a man who was told he could be president who didn’t want to be president. So naturally, a woman who’s told she can be the first commandress in chief wants to be. “Running for president is like sex,” James Carville told me. “No one ever did it once and forgot about it.” Joe Biden wants the job. He’s human (very). But he’s a realist. He knows the Democratic Party has a messianic urge to finish what it started

Two very bad and extremely dangerous economic developments happened yesterday — and Wall Street appeared to miss both of them. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 40.86 points to 14565.25 after the Labor Department announced that the seasonally adjusted number of new jobs created in March was just 88,000 — far below the 190,000 or so Wall Street expected. The March figure was also less than one-third the number of jobs created during February. This led to the misperception that the job market tanked in March. It didn’t.

Duck Dynasty must make liberals heads explode. It is now the most popular “non-scripted” show currently on television. Its Season 3 premiere had 8.6 million viewers and a massive 4.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which as you might know, is quite popular with the advertisers. At the same time, each episode ends with the entire family at the dinner table where they pray before eating. Indeed, the Robertson clan is entirely evangelical. They take their faith in Christ seriously and exert quite a bit of effort preaching the gospel. The patriarch of the family, Phil, used to live

It must be something in the water at the State Department — every secretary sooner or later develops an insatiable yearning to be the guy or gal who finally unlocked the secret to Middle East peace. Now Kerry has the peace process bug. The State Department spokeswoman did her best to lower expectations. Art lovers, put away your wallets: In a surprise statement today, the Met said that it’s never tried to paint over rules requiring it to let anyone in for free. But a lawsuit filed in state Supreme Court last November says the Met hides that policy from visitors. How do you survive a sex scandal? Public-relations reps and crisis-communications counselors have made careers of dispensing advice on such matters. And so the usual counsel follows a fairly trite and untested path: Be honest from the start. Apologize. Make sure your wife stands behind you. Hogwash, for the most part. Everyone apologizes, nearly everyone’s wife is supportive, and no one is honest from the start. But still some politicians survive sordid situations, and some do not. Why? Let’s allow history to be our guide. There are more than enough examples to choose from. It was only Tuesday that former South Carolina governor

The problem? This really is the old-fashioned way. And any conservative even semi-awake recognizes the game instantly. In this case the game being played with the so-called Office of Congressional Ethics, the OCE. This is what we now call “Borking.” The method of choice of liberals when they are frustrated by the public’s attachment or potential attachment to a political figure on the Right.

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.

Married couple George Harasz and Douglas Wirth of Glastonbury were supposed to be sentenced Friday in Hartford Superior Court under a plea deal, but instead withdrew from their agreement with prosecutors. The men had already pleaded no contest in January to one felony count each of risk of injury to a minor — a reduction from even more serious charges related to sexual assault....
