Obama on Immigration:
Only Deport 'Gang Bangers'

President Obama addresses immigration and deportation during Tuesday night's presidential town hall debate: "If we're gonna go after folks who are here illegaly, we should do it smartly and go after folks who are criminals -- gang bangers. People who are hurting the community.

Comments:
Yeah! Right on. Those freakin' gang bangers are messin' up the community. I literally cracked up when the President "fingered" gang bangers as an immigration issue.

If that is the sum of his immigration policy, there will be a lot of disgruntled foreigners this morning.

The Mayor of Chicago will point out that the "Gang Bangers" are an essential and reliable democrat voting block in his municipality.

ICE just refused to take a high profile gang banger from a local area. How bad do they have to be to be deported. Maybe we should classify breaking into this country a felon. If an illegal broke into a liberal's house and took up residence, they be on the phone with cops in 5 seconds.Hey amigo,I just want a better life, when's dinner ready?

Uh, zippy, ANY immigrant who crosses our borders ILLEGALLY, is, by definition, a criminal.

And speaking of gang bangers, what's the murder/shooting total in Chicago ( so far ) this year? Are you ever going to utter a single word about what they are doing in the community you organized?

Reply 10 - Posted by: Whimsy, 10/17/2012 9:02:15 AM     (No. 8939532)

Sadly, the Obama administration's own ICE and Justice Departments won't do this...the Gang Bangers know the deportation system too well, and have swamped federal lawyers with their own policies. The delaying tactics are BUILT IN to the deportation process. Unless the GB is a convicted felon, forget it! Even then...they've got more rights than a death row inmate.

Isn't that kind of racist? Gang Bangers, by the way, is a commonly used term in Chicago.

Consider it an opportunity overlooked. It´s surprising that Jose Pedro Simoes Ferreira´s name didn´t surface during John Kerry´s confirmation hearings for Secretary of State. Mr. Ferreira, 78, is the older brother of Mr. Kerry´s wife, Fox Chapel ketchup heiress Teresa Heinz. Ferreira also is a former Portuguese naval officer linked to leftist Portuguese politics and reportedly backed a 1974 coup against Portuguese Prime Minister Marcello Caetano. According to Allegheny County voter registration records, Ferreira lives in a four-bedroom, 3½ bathroom $628,000 home on Squaw Run Road in Fox Chapel on property adjacent to the sprawling 87-acre Heinz estate.

White House Watched Benghazi
Attacked And Didn't Respond

Just one hour after the seven-hour-long terrorist attacks upon the U.S. consulate in Benghazi began, our commander-in-chief, vice president, secretary of defense and their national security team gathered together in the Oval Office listening to phone calls from American defenders desperately under siege and watching real-time video of developments from a drone circling over the site. Yet they sent no military aid that might have intervened in time to save lives. Why? The attack began on September 11, at about 10:00 p.m. Libyan time (4:00 p.m. in Washington). Just how badly did CNN's Candy Crowley destroy her first (and hopefully last) attempt as a presidential debate moderator? More than 65 million people saw that she is to debate moderation as CNN is to "news." Barack Obama made a fatal mistake when he lied, claiming he'd labeled the Libya attack as an act of terrorism. The look on Romney's face said it all: Mr. President, here comes checkmate.

Conservative critics have launched an attack on CNN Chief Political Correspondent Candy Crowley, who moderated Tuesday's second presidential debate, after she corrected former Gov. Mitt Romney's claim that President Barack Obama did not refer to the consulate attack in Benghazi as an "act of terror." Obama said in the debate that on September 12, he called the attack in Libya that killed four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, an "act of terror."

Candy Crowley’s signature moment as moderator of Tuesday’s rough-and-tumble presidential debate came when she was called upon to referee a dispute over President Barack Obama’s description of the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya as an act of terror. When Republican Mitt Romney questioned whether the president had done so, Crowley said, “He did, in fact, sir.”“Can you say that a little louder, Candy?” Obama said, as the debate’s audience broke into applause.

Maine Democrat Cynthia Dill is rare among her fellow Democratic candidates in that her run for Senate is entirely independent of the national party. But that’s not by choice. Dill hasn’t received the endorsement of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and she doesn’t have the financial or technical backing of the party. Though DSCC chairwoman Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) has said Democrats would be monitoring the race, they’ve offered no indication that they’ll be investing funds in Dill’s bid,

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

More than six months since Ambassador Christopher Stevens was assassinated by terrorists in Benghazi, the Obama administration is still trying to keep a lid on information about the attack. Congress and the American people need to know what happened the night of Sept. 11, 2012. Who did the killing and what was their motive? Why wasn´t help sent? And why did the administration lie about who was responsible? Members of Congress have asked hundreds of questions at hearings conducted by several investigative committees, but many of the most significant have been left unanswered.
