| During the vice presidential debate last week, Vice President Joe Biden seemed to significantly overstate his role in the 1983 negotiations over Social Security. Asked about Medicare reform, the vice president said, “Look, I was there when we did that with Social Security in 1983. I was one of eight people sitting in the room that included Tip O’Neill negotiating with President Reagan. '' (Snip) But according to the historical record, Biden was not one of the small group of people in “the room,” or in “the meeting” — nor was he even a key player in reforms.

Old Joe Biden has one of those memories where he becomes a part of history to which he wasn't even a witness. Nah we can't call him a ''liar.'' Joe Biden just exaggerates until any resemblance to the truth is completely gone.

Old Joe Bidet attended the u. of delaware, and played freshman football. (in those days, any guy who showed up for practice was on the freshman team.)
But Old Joe Bidet, campaigning in Ohio a couple of weeks ago, injected himself as a varsity player for delaware, against Akron.
He was not.
Old Joe Bidet claimed that he was in the top half of his class at Syracuse University law school. He was in the bottom half. He claimed to have received an academic scholarship to SU law, he did not.
He claimed that while he was cited for academic dishonesty at SU law, his only mistake was with a missing footnote. The truth is that he took another student's work and turned it in for himself.
He swiped a speech from Neil Kinnock, british labor party guy, and used it word for word. Unfortunately, Kinnock's family had a long line of coal miners. Old Joe Bidet had no coal miners in his family. His father was a sales manager at a car dealership.
So the claim about social security negotiations was consistent with old joe's dishonesty.

We at Townhall have been covering this hotly contested Senate race for months and the results are finally in: With 36 percent of precincts reporting, Elizabeth Warren has been declared the next junior Senator from Massachusetts. Warren has never held public office before and the eye-popping $40 million she raised this election cycle evidently proved more than enough to unseat incumbent Senator Scott Brown. This was the most expensive Senate race of 2012 -- by a long shot.
