Republicans determined not to let Barack

Republicans are showing no sign of letting up on President Barack Obama over the death of four U.S. officials in Benghazi despite Hillary Clinton, his Secretary of State, taking 'responsibility' for the debacle. Reince Priebus, chairman of the Republican National Committee, blasted Obama and Clinton after her intervention, which threw the president a potential lifeline in tonight's second presidential debate against Mitt Romney. 'I think it’s a 3 a.m. call,' he told MSNBC, referring to the famous Clinton ad aimed against Obama in 2008. 'The buck stops at the White House. That's what Hillary Clinton said

why isn't she here addressing the issue and

Unlike Britain we don't have a Prime Minister. We have a president and he is ultimately responsible. It is HIS administration. No matter who claims responsibility it is 0bama who is responsible. Even if that means firing Hillary which he won't do since that would cost him votes.

I'd like it if they didn't let her off the hook. She was spewing that video nonsense non stop and even apologized to the Muslims knowing the whole thing was made up.

Her apology means nothing. SHe'll find someone under her to eventually get the shaft, while she gets kudos for standing up to responsibility. I smell Bill Clinton's advice in this.

This woman gets dumpier, more facially depressed, and more robotic in her speech as the years go by. What doesn't change is her ability to weasel out of difficult truths.

Margaret Thatcher´s only granddaughter paid tribute to the former Prime Minister with a clear and heartfelt reading at her funeral today. Speaking with a pronounced American accent, Amanda Thatcher, 19, read from the book of Ephesians to mourners in St Paul´s Cathedral. Baroness Thatcher was today honoured with a sombre but spectacular funeral ceremony that paid tribute to the ‘courage and perseverance’ of Britain´s greatest peacetime prime minister. An estimated 250,000 mourners lined the streets to pay tribute to the UK´s one and only female political leader, and broke into spontaneous applause, cheers and whistles of support rang around the streets of London as the coffin passed them. Mourners also threw white roses in the path of the gun carriage that carried Lady Thatcher through the capital. A group of soldiers competing in the grueling Boston Marathon wearing 40lb backpacks in honor of fallen comrades managed to find the strength to tear down barricades and free trapped victims. Immediately after the terrifying explosions at the race on Monday, photos showed soldiers dressed in fatigues running toward the site of the attack. Army Sgt. Bernard Madore and 1st Lt. Steve Fiola say they never expected to have to mobilize in response to an attack in their hometown but were ready to answer the call of duty. Since the soldiers were fully dressed in their fatigues, some assumed

Britain’s top U.S.-based diplomat capped off his first visit to Charleston on Monday by calling for stronger trade and tourism ties between his nation and United States. Charleston is well-positioned to capitalize in both instances, said Ambassador Sir Peter Westmacott. As a major East Coast port city, Charleston could become “a major hub for this connection into the U.K.,” he said at a World Trade Center Charleston luncheon at the Harbour Club. “You are one of the most important port cities in the United States,” he said. Also, Westmacott urged local travel officials to direct more marketing at British tourists.

WASHINGTON—The Supreme Court left in doubt Monday whether gun owners have a 2nd Amendment right to carry a firearm in public. Without a comment or dissent, the justices turned down a gun-rights challenge to a New York law that strictly limits who can legally carry a weapon when they are on the streets. To obtain a "concealed carry" permit, New Yorkers must convince a county official that they have a "special need for protection" that goes beyond living or working in a high-crime area. Only about one-tenth of 1% of New Yorkers have concealed-carry permits, compared to more than 6%

As we now move into the official Political Aftermath period of the Boston bombing — the period that will determine the long-term legislative fallout of the atrocity — the dynamics of privilege will undoubtedly influence the nation’s collective reaction to the attacks. That’s because privilege tends to determine: 1) which groups are — and are not — collectively denigrated or targeted for the unlawful actions of individuals; and 2) how big and politically game-changing the overall reaction ends up being.
