Robert Gibbs Predicts ‘Exceptionally
Strong’ Debate Performance from
Obama

PJ Media, by Bryan Preston

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 10/16/2012 11:14:05 AM

If you look straight up and squint really hard, you might be able to see where Obama surrogate Robert Gibbs raised the bar this morning on MSNBC. Gibbs says that tonight in the second presidential debate President Obama will be “exceptionally strong,” along with “passionate” and “energetic.” Adjectives not mentioned: “factual,” “accurate,” “honest,” “straightforward,” “candid,” or “believable.” Even Chuck Todd was impressed by Gibbs’ reach. I could be wrong here, but Gibbs’ comments amount to a bulletin board statement. In sports, you never want to give your opponent anything to rally around so you don’t want

Comments:
0bama sure has to live up to a lot of expectations. We know he's not up to it. I can't wait to see him stammer and stutter. He will merely mutter the same lame talking points he has stated over and over again because he has nothing else to offer.

The only way I expect to see a strong performance from Empty Chair is if he adopts Lance Armstrong's blood doping regimen.
Choom Boy without a teleprompter is just Choom Boy.

No doubt he has all the town hall questions from Crowley in advance, though

Someone on one of the news shows this morning made the comment that the media would declare 0bama the victor in tonight's debate, if he did nothing but stand there and play "Angry Birds" on his i-phone the whole time. So yeah, I too, predict the media will say 0bama had an exceptionally strong debate performance.

Ah yes, the beacon of truth Robert Gibbs. Jay Carney is so bad he has moved Gibbs out of last place, into next to last, on Presidential Press secretary performance / truth telling.

The facts speak for themselves. So, obit can sound good, but if Romney is able to shoot down what he says with the facts, what good is it for him to sound good? Once again, they're shooting for the idiot vote. Anyone who falls for the smoke and mirrors is going to vote for obit anyway.

How can people who supposedly switched over to Romney because they saw the real man, suddenly switch back to obit because he sounds good in his second debate? Are they supposed to forget all about the first one? The first debate wasn't just about how bad obit did, but how well Romney did in presenting the real him? In doing so, Romney also presented the real obama. People said obit has lied about who Romney is, maybe he's lying about who he is. And, a two-faced obama in 2 debates can only confirm that even further. This is so twisted.

I have a fairly safe prediction. No matter what happens at the debate tonight, the MSM will immediately hail Obama's tremendous comeback performance and attempt to demonize Romney for being untruthful, vague and/or rude.

After the last debate, the MSM and the rest of the left wing could not stifle their shock, horror and deep disappointment at Obama. It was like a gag reflex. They simply could not hold back their overpowering urge to vomit.

Now they have had time to reflect and have become even more shocked and horrified to see Romney shoot ahead of Obama in all of the polls. The MSM and the rest of the far left-wing fringe have way too much emotionally and financially invested in Obama to simply cut him loose now. They will do whatever it takes from now until the election to prop Obama back up.

If they do manage to prop Obama up long enough to get him re-elected, then they will start tearing into him like a pack of wild dogs. The honeymoon is definitely over.

Reply 10 - Posted by: artman1746, 10/16/2012 11:51:13 AM     (No. 8937062)

We must understand that the message has to go out to the media as to what the plan is to be. Normally they want to signal the media to play down expectations and then hype the results. Now the message is to increase expectations and hype the results. Gibbs is "dog whistling" the media to turn it all the way up. He might as well shout to the MSM "this is it! We're toast unless y'all pull us out of the fire!" He is making the plea that no matter how Obama does in the debate the MSM must claim Obama knocked it out of the park.

Obama has 10 memorized and loud and nasty answers to be inserted for any question. He also has the questions. He has Candy Crowley who thinks Romney/ Ryan is "a death wish for Republicans." And Obama won't be wearing the "muslim ring," or won't get a question on it he can't answer. Since Obama won't be arguing facts, he will have to call Romney a liar. Here's the thing. We are fighting against powers and principalities and wickedness in high places. Millions are praying that God, who hates pride and a liar, will be for the "principled" man. Millions have now been praying longer than Daniel, who had a delay to get through to Michael the Archangel so that he would defeat the demonic Prince of Persia [Daniel 10:13]. And make no mistake, in the devil's kingdom hierarchy, we have a demonic Prince over America. Why would we not? What has changed? Millions who never would have considered this -- now see we are not fighting ideological anti-Americans on both sides, in just their flesh and blood. Tonight will be a good night for virtue no matter what fix is in. Because, "If God is for [Romney], who can be against him?" Another interpretation: If God is for Romney, everyone else might as well be for Romney.

Unless Obama has been pre-fed all the questions he is still going to have to string some sentences together to make a cogent point.
