That was not a debate, it was a side show. If Rattass had done her job properly then could have been meaningful discussion about relevant issues. Instead we had a patrician dem nagging Mr. Ryan about the democrat talking point and Joe Biden making fart noises.

The only ones that think Biden won the debate are few liberals in the MSM. If Biden had truly beaten Ryan, we would not be hearing the end of it, there would have been articles for days afterward on what a terrific job old Joe did. That was not the case by the next day the MSM was already talking about the next match up between Romney and 0bama.

Biden won the Chimpanzee vote.

Biden won the dental reconstruction vote.

We all have joked about biden being that uncle that you keep locked in the attic when company comes . . . turns out he really is that mentally unstable relative. That was the creepiest performance I have ever seen. It was even creepier than algore sneaking up on Bush when they debated. Did someone really coach him to act mentally deranged or is it just his personality to appear unhinged?

I am pretty sure that Biden is responsible for the shift in women voters.

On substance, Ryan won. On antics, and juvenile behavior, it was all Biden.

Not according to the Luntz people. What a bunch of fake Independents and undecideds. Good grief and they were from Kentucky. Oh my! At least none of them were swayed, so I guess they're still undecided. Another good grief!

Of course he did! Ridiculous that there is even any discussion of the subject, after the asinine way Biden behaved.

VI probably is pretty close to the mark. If Ryan had to sit over a dunk tank at a parish festival to get that response from independent voters, that's all that matters.

I have a fairly safe prediction. No matter what happens at the debate tonight, the MSM will immediately hail Obama's tremendous comeback performance and attempt to demonize Romney for being untruthful, vague and/or rude.

After the last debate, the MSM and the rest of the left wing could not stifle their shock, horror and deep disappointment at Obama. It was like a gag reflex. They simply could not hold back their overpowering urge to vomit.

Now they have had time to reflect and have become even more shocked and horrified to see Romney shoot ahead of Obama in all of the polls. The MSM and the rest of the far left-wing fringe have way too much emotionally and financially invested in Obama to simply cut him loose now. They will do whatever it takes from now until the election to prop Obama back up.

If they do manage to prop Obama up long enough to get him re-elected, then they will start tearing into him like a pack of wild dogs. The honeymoon is definitely over.

#6 I totally agree. Most women were disgusted by Biden and the fact that has has and would still be a heartbeat away from the presidency. I think when the pollsters are honest, they will tell us that. Biden may have lost many women for Obama.

Biden's sole purpose at the debate was to silence Ryan by any means possible. He couldn't silence him completely but he could act like an arrogant, obnoxious drunk. In addition, he disrupted, deflected, laughed, rolled his eyes, interrupted, mocked, ridiculed and made a complete ass of himself; just to keep the eyes and ears of the public on him.

His purpose was to stop curious people from hearing what Ryan had to say, as if he were God and only he had the words people needed to hear.

Biden, had too many beers and allowed himself to be seen as he truly is, a pompous arrogant jackass who's made a career out of lying to public without them knowing it.

Yes he did despite what the libkooks think. Ryan resisted the urge to knock Biden's fake teeth out. He was the only adult at that table and that includes the Rat lady. And #8 you're spot on about the Luntz focus group. That group was about as focused as a broken laser beam.

They always say a VPs most important job is to 'do no harm'. Ryan certainly exceeded that goal by a mile. Biden did nothing to turn the race around, so in the end he failed.

Don't know which one it was, but one of the Fox post-debate commentators apparently nailed it--the already-convinced conservatives and republicans each thought their man did the best, and the undecideds were not swayed back into the fold by Biden. Or, to put it another way, bullseye #17. But apparently it went a bit beyond that, maybe biden actually hurt 0 with the indy vote.

Smirk won in that he made noises his base wanted to hear. Ryan won with his base because he came across as competent and mature.

What of the undecideds? Will they go for the Chevy Chase style of noisy bufoonery or mature competency?
