Former Aide on Obama: 'Stunning
that He’s in Politics, Because
He Really Doesn’t Like People

Weekly Standard, by Daniel Halper

Original Article

Neera Tanden, a former aide to both Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, had this to say about the relationship of the two presidents: Clinton, being Clinton, had plenty of advice in mind and was desperate to impart it. But for the first two years of Obama’s term, the phone calls Clinton kept expecting rarely came. “People say the reason Obama wouldn’t call Clinton is because he doesn’t like him,” observes Tanden. “The truth is, Obama doesn’t call anyone, and he’s not close to almost anyone. It’s stunning that he’s in politics, because he really doesn’t like people.

From an online Medical Encyclopedia:

Antisocial personality disorder
(Sociopathic personality; Sociopathy; Personality disorder - antisocial)

Antisocial personality disorder is a mental health condition in which a person has a long-term pattern of manipulating, exploiting, or violating the rights of others. This behavior is often criminal.
Causes, incidence, and risk factors
The causes of antisocial personality disorder are unknown. Genetic factors and child abuse are believed to contribute to the development of this condition. People with an antisocial or alcoholic parent are at increased risk. Far more men than women are affected.

Therefore, I reckon Marx, Lenin, Stalin, and Mao liked people.

The pathological narcissist hates everybody and everything that is not himself because the mere existence of anything besides himself is an affront and a threat to his omnipotence. How DARE something exist that is not part of me and under my control! Obama doesn't just reject other people and their opinions, he actively despises them for existing at all.

Americans got their best glimpse into the heart of darkness that is Obamaworld in the amazing photo of Obama embracing a life sized replica of himself. Truly, a picture is worth a thousand words.

#19, not every successful politician "likes people" -- but almost every pol who is successful is also pretty good at faking that he likes people.

Take Bill Clinton, for example. Clinton is just as much a narcissist/sociopath as Obama; but he learned early in life to fake concern for other folks. "Ah feel yer pain."

Who was it ... the late George Burns, I believe, who said that "if you can fake sincerity, you've got it made"?

Obama differs from Bill Clinton in that he won't fake a sincere interest in others. He thinks he's just too damn good for that.

Good point, #14. The narcissist has an insatiable sense of entitlement. People are used and discarded (as in "thrown under the bus") without a second thought.

When caught, the narcissist simply continues on, acknowledging nothing and taking no responsibility anything.

Would have worked out fine, but his job title is slightly incorrect. Instead of being POTUS, he should be dictator (ya know, like Idi Amin), he would be fine with the job. As we have it now, we are still a first world country with a third world dictator in charge.

My wife is a patient of an ear/nose/throat MD. The guy encourages patients to call him Larry, or Dr. Larry. Presumably that's because it is a very high net worth area. Many patients have education equivilent (JD, etc) or patients household income over $10Million (inveswtment bankiing)

Just saying, obama was a fad, but he doesn't fit in with many, many Americans. Better in a third world country.

Although the term "useful idiots" was originally attributed to Vladimir Lenin, its origin is undetermined but it is very applicable to the naïve celebrities in Hollywood and the media now mourning the death of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. Much like the devotees of Fidel Castro and Che Guevara, these grieving individuals have made no effort to learn the truth about those they lionize. One has to feel some pity for the likes of the Sean Penns, Oliver Stones, Michael Moores, Danny Glovers, and idolaters who naively support malignant despots and causes believing them to be a force for good.
