| The a 15-minute feel-good photo op at an Ohio soup kitchen for Paul Ryan has turned into trouble and ill will, the charity's director claims. Brian J Antal, the president of the Mahoning County St Vincent De Paul Society, says the Republican vice presidential candidate showed up uninvited, scrubbed pots and pans that were already clean and posed for pictures with his family on Saturday. Mr Antal says he was never informed that Ryan was coming --and wouldn't have granted him permission to make a campaign stop there if he had. He told the Washington Post that he's worried that

Oh how horrible! He washed a couple of clean pans for a photo op. Pffft! What damage was done? The director is an Obama supporter, no doubt. Okay, so it wasn't the smartest thing to do, but it was probably one of those last minute decisions. He probably happened to be in the area. At least he didn't exploit dead soldiers for a photo op like Obama does.

The thing that makes me furious is that the director of a soup kitchen for the St. Vincent De Paul society (a Catholic organization) doesn't support the team that supports the Catholic position in this election. Shame on him.

Something keeps popping up in what's left of my mind: I've never heard of a Director of a food kitchen before (which doesn't mean nobody else has ever been given that title, just strikes a flat note at my first hearing). Manager, sure, but not Director. Makes me think "liberal elitist." And if he's afraid some of his private donors might quit their generosity, well, I would answer they must not be donating out of concern for the hungry if that's the case. Bet you don't see any of them at the kitchen washing dishes, clean or not.

#1 says it all. Soup Kitchens require no "invitation", in fact, they're always begging for people to come by and help, even if it's to wash a dish. This is clearly a numb-skull lefty who thinks that this little patch of poverty is "his turf".

So let me get this straight...the 'director' of this kitchen is fussing about a Ryan photo op that will be in the national media instead of doing the smart thing and taking the unprecedented opportunity to highlight the work the kitchen does and they needs they have that those viewers might be able to meet? Not too bright, imo. That 'director's' not earning his keep.

Dear Mr Antal- As president of the St Vincent de Paul Society, I strongly suspect that you are a Roman Catholic, even if in name only. Your wholly unnecessary comments concerning Paul Ryan's visy make it clear that your sympathies lie with his opponent. As such, let me remind you of the teachings of the Church, as reinforced in Vatican II: ABORTION IS MURDER That alone should outweigh any other consideration for you.

They could have the Mooch show up in $300 designer running shoes like she did before.
Like one of the posters above, we brought sandwiches to a shelter one time and got fussed at by a libtard because we didn't serve the baloney on whole wheat bread! I then, very loudly, asked the homeless men "clients" if they wanted white bread or wheat. After the overwhelming response, the libtard mumbled something about "wheat being better for them". I offered my services elsewhere.

I'll lay odds that if this guy doesn't like Ryan, he may even have lied that the pots were clean. Speaking of photo ops, I remember just after HillBilly was sworn in, the Billy half went out to a road construction site for one. With shovel in hand, he was cussing up a storm because someone on his staff had mixed up the location and he was late getting there. He said something along the lines of "What is the point of doing a photo op, if you can't get to it". The comment was laced with profanities. Of course the LSM never played it but Rush did.

Some one has an agenda here. Three days later we get this story? No video when everything is on video today?
The key here is that the Ryan group was there for 15 minutes before the aprons went on and the pans were washed. It is hard to believe someone working at the kitchen didn't say "go ahead".
Was Antal there? Apparently not. I think his ego is bruised.

Comments below story says the Director says the media misquoted him. He was more concerned about donations if perceived as partisan. If so he could approach the press and tell about donations faltering because of Ryan visit and watch the donations rebound as the GOP gets into the furor. Very not so silent majority having been fed up to the gills with socialist and greenie experimenter obama IMO.

What do Soup Kitchen directors and debate moderators have in common? Tonight they have shown a control freak and vanity mentality and make themselves the story to their detriment and to their regret.
How are they different in their desire to undo their quick shots? Ryan might feel like helping the soup kitchen recoup any losses caused by the director.

The new research shows that an isolated reef off the northwest coast of Australia that was severely damaged by a period of warming in 1998. It was hit by coral bleaching, caused by higher water temperatures that break down the coral´s symbiotic relationship with algae that provide food for coral growth.

As the US and China grow increasingly involved, Kim Jong-un must be brought into line if war is not to be triggered by an act of recklessness. There are two schools of thought about what lies behind North Korea’s increasingly frenzied posturing. The first goes like this: the rhetoric emanating from Pyongyang--including calls to “break the waists of the crazy enemies [and] totally cut their windpipes”--is no worse than their decades-old ritualistic promises to turn South Korea into a “sea of fire”. What we are witnessing, according to this theory, is nothing more than an inexperienced leader

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter.
