| Look out. Hollywood is having a Republican crisis. Once America’s most dependable bastion of liberal blather, the land of make believe has gone rogue. Each week, the new movie season brings another defection to Camp Romney, a place where taxes are less punishing, foreign policy is reliably pro-Israel, and stupid movies like “Innocence of Muslims’’ are not blamed for costing American lives. It’s the terrorists, stupid. You can see this sea change in the new Ben Affleck-directed movie, “Argo.” Once an ardent Obama-phile, the disaffected Hollywood hunk has chosen this election season to take on

Hmmm, last week on O'Reilly, Affleck said he was still an Obama supporter and planed on voting for him.

Follow the money. Remember the Dixie Chicks? We buy enterntainment, the Left makes it. If the Left is making entertainment for the Left, who is buying it? Nobody, because there isn't anything there for us.
Their money is drying up because they have alienated their customers. The only ones making money now are those who support our ideals.

Seeing the name Ben Affleck and "brilliant" in the same paragraph makes me question this author's critical thinking skills.

Andrea, you are a bit too gullible. Affleck is a liberal. He will campaign for and give money to Obama. He will vote for Obama. But he is smart enough to know that alienating half the public with his liberal views will cost him money at the box office. So, he tries to straddle the fence when asked...don't buy it.

This is simple...Libs or not they can't make money on their political drivel in movies...so they are going where the money is just like any Lib!
Thing I do is NOT go to their movies no matter what the subject is...they always slip in something to ruin it.

Ahhh, sorry Andrea...we ain't buying it. This group of Mensas who make a living doing make believe live in an honest to goodness make believe world. It's the one where Utopia, world peace, green energy, free love, socialism, and oversized egos is the norm. As long as they've got theirs, which they rarely "spread around", everythings good.

It was Gay mogul David Geffen who in 2007 started the Hollywood romance with Barry Obama. His primary goal was to have a president who would remove the ban on Gays in the military and legalize Gay marriage. He got what he paid for.

Exaggerated. A few more conservatives have shown themselves but Affleck isn't one of them. Much of Hollywood is just having buyer's remorse and wishes they had chosen Hillary who is every bit as bad and incompetent as 0bama.

In an interview Dr. Gosnell gave three years ago he claimed he would be vindicated and that the fact "that I´m a good person" would prevail. When the DEA and FBI raided Dr. Gosnell´s abortion clinic in early 2010, they discovered blood on the floors, unsterilized equipment and 47 babies stored in a freezer. Gosnell´s medical license was immediately suspended and evidence was gathered which eventually led to the death penalty trial now taking place in Philadelphia. But a few days after the raid which ended his career, Gosnell reached out to a local news station,

Is media bias to blame for lack of Gosnell coverage? Or something far more banal? The trial of Philadelphia doctor Kermit Gosnell would seem to have all the elements of a spectacular news story: shocking allegations, horrifying visuals, sympathetic victims. Yet until late last week, much of the national media was silent as testimony about Gosnell’s alleged “house of horrors” abortion clinic rolled out. Much of the media attention outside Philadelphia, in fact, centered on how little media attention the story was receiving outside Philadelphia.

A Friday article from the Associated Press seems to excuse the alleged actions of the assistants of accused criminal abortionist Kermit Gosnell as only following orders. Author Maryclaire Dale begins her piece with that very sentiment, saying, "They say they were just doing what the boss trained them to do." In some cases, Dale claims that these accused assistants had a hard time finding jobs before Gosnell hired them. According to Dale, one had to work for Gosnell because she had "post-traumatic stress syndrome." Dale excuses others because they were related tangentially to Doctor

I knew there was something missing from the Benghazi story, something fundamental that had thus far escaped my attention. Not that the questions being asked by the hundreds of Special Forces guys aren’t important. I, too, want to know why–if this is accurate–we didn’t have military forces ready to move in. I, too, want to know why the top political figures–the president and the secretaries of state and defense (Obama, Hillary and Panetta)–were so clearly disinclined to take action. That whole phony charade about the “video” bespeaks an effort to get the world to focus on the wrong thing.

No matter how you slice the Obama budget pie, the inescapable fact is that the President wants to get rid of the roughly $1 trillion budget-cutting sequester and substitute in a $1 trillion-plus tax hike. In other words, more spending, more taxing. Growth-busting. The GOP should just say no. Let me provide some counsel to my Republican friends in Washington, in particular in the House. Balanced budgets don’t create growth. This mantra is wrong. It’s growth that creates balanced budgets. Cut spending? That’s a pro-growth measure. Lower tax rates? Another pro-growth measure.

This is a legal analysis of the story previously filed by my colleague John Nolte. A Christian florist in Washington State, who declined to provide flowers for a same-sex wedding because she objects for religious reasons, is being taken to court by Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson. This case could ultimately lead the U.S. Supreme Court to revisit one of its past mistakes. (snip) This case goes to the absolute core of religious liberty, asking whether the government can compel a sincere Christian believer to violate her religious conscience, and it could make new law.

A week ago, I joined a few reporters for a morning coffee klatsch with Newt Gingrich. One of the scribes asked Gingrich about the GOP´s branding when it came to social issues; Gingrich, as is his wont, flipped the question back on the questioner. "There´s a question of which side gets to define ´extremism,´" said Gingrich. "I mean, the Planned Parenthood witness in Florida recently who said, gee, if the baby actually survives the abortion, the baby has no standards. The Senate voted late Thursday to free thousands of federal government employees from having to disclose their financial dealings online, in a move that’s proving to be controversial. The National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) says posting all of that information online poses a national security risk. But the open-government group Sunlight Foundation says releasing staffers from online disclosure mandates eviscerates part of last year’s Stock Act, designed to stop insider trading by federal officials. “Rather than craft narrow exemptions, or even delay implementation until proper protections could be created,

Representative Chris Smith of New Jersey said: Murdering newborns in the abortion clinic, it seems to me, is indistinguishable from any other child predator wielding a knife or a gun. Why isn’t that that child seen as a patient in need of medical care, warmth, nutrition and dare I say—love? Now another national media cover up! In this case, even when a Jeffrey Dahmer-like murder trial of an abortionist named Kermit Gosnell, who ran the benign-sounding Women’s Medical Society, unfolds in a Philadelphia Courtroom replete with shocking testimony of beheadings,

PHILADELPHIA – A Delaware woman who worked for abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell recalled hearing one child “screaming” after it was delivered alive during an abortion procedure at Gosnell’s West Philadelphia clinic. Sherry West, of Bear, said she was loyal to Gosnell – who is now facing multiple counts of murder for allegedly killing children after they were delivered alive at his clinic – but said the incident “really freaked me out.” When Assistant District Attorney Joanne Pescatore pressed the 53-year-old West for specifics about the incident, West struggled to answer, clearly uncomfortable with the

Since he first became a presidential candidate, President Obama must have spent millions of dollars in legal expenses to combat dozens of so-called "birther" challenges seeking the original documents pertaining to his birth. As president, he famously issued an electronic document on the White House website in 2011; the document purported to be his long-form birth certificate, though it is apparently a forgery. In addition, he has taken great pains to hide the paper trail of passport records, college transcripts, and other data -- all of which a prospective employer might require of a job applicant.

Although Levin would not offer the congressman’s name on air, he has been a vocal critic of various members of the House Republican leadership in the past. But Levin called the situation “fascism.” “Well, it has come to my attention that there is a Republican congressman out there who doesn’t like what I’ve been saying,” Levin said. “It has come to my attention that there is a

Here is something I don’t understand: liberals are often revealed as vile, vulgar hatemongers–not all of them, of course, but far too many–yet they never seem to pay a penalty at the polls. Why is that? Margaret Thatcher’s death has been the latest occasion for the Left to show its true stripes. All across the U.K., there have been demonstrations–vulgar at best, and violent at worst. In Bristol, lefties celebrating a Thatcher “death street party” started fires, destroyed property and battled police: This evening in Trafalgar Square, liberals have turned out for a long-planned celebration of Thatcher’s death:

Whitehall sources have revealed that the U.S. delegation at tomorrow’s service in St Paul’s Cathedral will be led by two Reagan era secretaries of state: James Baker and George Shultz. Though President Obama himself had not been expected to attend, there had been speculation that he would be represented either by Vice President Joe Biden or wife Michelle. In light of the explosions that have rocked Boston on Patriots’ Day, during the city’s annual marathon, NBC reporter Luke Russert took to Twitter to speculate that today’s horrific events could possibly be related to the 1993 government siege on the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas — an incident often attached to conversations about “right-wing terrorism” and anti-government violence. “I was at Fenway Park w my dad and @mikebarnicle during Waco which was on Patriots Day in 1993.
