Swing States poll: Women
push Romney into lead

USA Today, by Susan Page

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 10/15/2012 3:47:02 PM

WASHINGTON — Mitt Romney leads President Obama by five percentage points among likely voters in the nation's top battlegrounds, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds, and he has growing enthusiasm among women to thank. As the presidential campaign heads into its final weeks, the survey of voters in 12 crucial swing states finds female voters much more engaged in the election and increasingly concerned about the deficit and debt issues that favor Romney. The Republican nominee now ties the president among women who are likely voters, 48%-48%, while he leads by 12 points among men.

Comments:
So it would seem that the contrived, condescending and insulting "War on Women" ploy hasn't worked as Team 0bama had planned. Sorry Barry, but real liberated women do not vote democRAT.

All of the BS from the left about the war on women has resulted in this. Women are not stupid, they know we can not sustain this debt and spending. It is not enough that Barry is a narcissist who thinks he is eye candy. His best "view" will be when he is gone from the limelight!

President Zero has lost, 5-10% of women, Catholics, Jews and Independents. He's even lost 2-5% of blacks and Hispanics. Sounds like a losing combination to me.

My experience with women is that security trumps all. The last four years has shaken the economic foundations of too many women, especially those with families. And I agree with #2 - abortion is beginning to rot as an issue.

Good rational reasons aside (security, etc.), I can tell you that as a woman, I am seriously crazy about Romney. He is just generally ideal as a man, to me. Good looks, and more importantly, someone we can trust in every way. That is not that easy to find these days, so I think that may explain a lot of his appeal to women. And I have a feeling it's going around and that there are plenty of nonpolitical or nonconservative women who feel the same way - just enough I hope.

This is very interesting. I think Biden played very poorly with women in his debate performance. I think his dismissive demeanor and interruptions reminded many women of certain obnoxious men they have worked with. Romney and Ryan, on the other hand, exude class and thus play well with women.

ATLANTIC CITY — New Jersey energy regulators took the air out of a $188 million plan to build a wind power farm off the coast of Atlantic City on Wednesday, rejecting the plan as too financially risky. The state Board of Public Utilities rejected a proposal by Fishermen’s Energy to build a windmill farm three miles off the state’s southern coast, deciding it placed too much potential risk of soaring electric bills for ratepayers. The proposal’s five turbines would have generated about 25 megawatts of electricity, but depended on a mixture of subsidies and federal grants to make sure ratepayers didn’t get

The bill, the Jaafari Personal Status Law, sets out rules to do with inheritance, marriage and divorce. Supporters of the draft, named after a Shiite Muslim school of jurisprudence, say it simply regulates practices already existing in day-to-day life. The expected rate hikes will be announced in the coming months amid an intense election year, when control of the Senate is up for grabs.
