Michelle Obama, the first lady of the United States, said on Friday that the United States is in the “midst of a huge recovery” because of what “this president has done.” In an interview, Pablo Sato, co-host of Pablo & Free on WPGC 95.5, a D.C.- metropolitan area hip-hop radio station, asked the first lady, “Mrs. Obama, you know what, in your words, tell us what you think the state of the union is in right now?” Mrs. Obama said, “I mean, we are seeing right now that we are in the midst of a huge
Comments: I'm sick and tired of these liars. And sadly the 0bamabots believe this tripe.
Seems like the Mooch has gotten into the same street level pharmaceuticals as the hubby when he thinks if you read the transcript - that he won the first debate. Hope they have a nice view from the new house in Hawaii in January!
a. she's incredibly stupid b. she thinks we are incredibly stupid c. like basically all Dems and most politicians, lying is like breathing to her -- done constantly, without thought or effort d. all of the above
Well, OK. Five possible explanations.
e. lobster rots the brain faster than anyone ever suspected
Of course she can say that to adoring fans in the cloistered DC area. Washington DC is one of the few areas in the country that has had an upswing in employment since Obama came to town. (Not hard to do, it was at the very bottom.)
What the hell is she talking about??? No raise this year, my health insurance just went up $440 a MONTH, EVERY MONTH. Most of the jobs created are low pay or part-time. Gas, food, clothing, EVERYTHING has gone up. It might be better for her and all her freebies but for most of us it still STINKS!
I thought they dumped that load of horse scheisse outside of a local Democrat's campaign headquarters, but obviously the "First Lady"--who yu callin' a "lady"--brought it along and dumped it in the studios of WPGC.
She's real stupid if she thinks that people believe this garbage, or the recent Obama campaign ad with Morgan Freeman telling us that our "factories are humming again" throughout the land.
P.S.--You can't fix stupid, and the sooner the "Klumps" are out of the White House--count the silverware, furniture, and artworks before they leave--the better.
Heaven help us. What does one say to this insulting attempt to con the world with more of her BS? She isn't just uglier than a donkey with mange, as badly dressed as one would expect of someone who is classlesss and who thinks too short, too tight, overdone-everything, and excessive is good taste, she's as big a liar as her husband. All I can focus on is that in 21 and a half days they're voted out and I'm in a state of frenzy trying to focus and keep control of the happiness at the wonderous prospect. And in the meantime, I hope the RAT party will keep Big Moo wound up and lying—no one except Barry does it better.
Obviously "recovery" to the Obama's doesn't mean the same thing it does to you and me. What she's trying to say, "folks," is that they're "recovering" OUR money left and right--and, yup, that's pretty huge!
We(AfricanAmericans)are in the midst of a huge recovery. Thousands released from prisons with jobs awaiting, unemployment down from 43% to 34%, pregnant unweds down from 69% to 54%, free cellphones up to 72%, and best yet ... food stamps for all AfAms with children. GOD BLESS BHO, MY BELOVED!
Yeah, we're in a "huge recovery" as I mail out my final bankruptcy papers to my attorney today and am in the midst of packing so that I can turn my house over to the bank. I make 30% of what I used to make, my husband makes about that as well. We aren't "recovering" anything. I am incredibly sad over this...
Where? I must have missed it. We do not have a recovery if fewer persons are employed than in 2009. We do not have a recovery if the U S credit rating is downrated. We do not have a recovery if 50% of black youth are unemployed. This does not matter, as they will vote for Zippy anyway. He is black. He doesn't care, but he is black.
What a goof-ball.
Maybe the youth will believe her, because they are hungry!
The escalting war between MSNBC’s Al Sharpton and Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly took an unexpected turn last night when O’Reilly revealed that he had donated $25,000 to Sharpton’s charity to help pay for Christmas gifts and dinner for underprivileged families in Harlem. Earlier today, Sharpton offered some choice words for O’Reilly in an interview, but this afternoon on his show he really let the Fox host have it. Sharpton pointed that like O’Reilly, he never mentioned the donation until now. “Bill doesn’t realize it, but this story actually reveals what kind of person he is… Bill gave that money privately
Fox TV Studios has pulled out of talks to produce a 4-hour-long NBC miniseries about former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The two sides had previously been in contact over producing Hillary, starring Diane Lane as the eponymous politician. But Deadline reported this afternoon that “with the two sides far apart, and were never able to bridge the gap on the deal terms.” “The economics of TV movies and miniseries are challenging, which is why very few production companies take on such programs these days,” explained Deadline. “That includes NBC’s own studio, Universal TV, which would not produce NBC’s longform projects, including
It’s clear by now that if conservatives are ever going to even begin to roll back the overt, ongoing and worsening lawlessness of the Obama administration, they’re going to have to go over, through, or around the Republican party first. The GOP “leadership,” as presently constituted, is nothing more than the lesser half of the Permanent Bipartisan Fusion Government, content to munch its cud and occasionally low in the direction of constitutional propriety, and then resume its own modest but lucrative role in fertilizing the “two-party” system. As evidence, consider Bob Costa’s piece today on Senator Ted Cruz, and the
Speaking Thursday at a joint appearance with Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Secretary of State John Kerry admitted that there were “many al Qaeda leaders now operating in Syria”—where President Barack Obama decided two months ago to provide military support to rebel forces fighting alongside al Qaeda to overthrow the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Asad. Asad is a member of the Alawite sect, which is a derivative of Shiite Islam; the Syrian rebels are predominantly Sunni, and al Qaeda is Sunni. According to the CIA, Assad’s Alawite sect represents no more than 16 percent of the Syrian population, while 74 percent
Egypt´s president on Friday suggested US President Barack Obama´s condemnation of a deadly crackdown on Islamists may "encourage violent armed groups". "The presidency fears statements not based on facts may encourage violent armed groups," it said in a statement responding to Obama´s condemnation of Wednesday´s carnage when police moved to disperse Islamist protest camps. "The presidency appreciates US concern for developments in Egypt, but it wished it could have clarified matters," said the statement published by the official MENA news agency. "Egypt is facing terrorist acts aimed at government institutions and vital installations," the statement said.
The Washington Post´s article detailing the fourth amendment abuses by the NSA got some push back from the administration who attempted to "edit" the article before publication. The internal audit referenced in the article was obtained by the WaPo from Edward Snowden. The details of the audit indicated repeated and growing privacy violations by the NSA, violations which included obtaining thousands of American citizen´s communications records and using methods of information collection that were later deemed unconstitutional by a court. The Post was able to interview John Delong, NSA director of compliance for the article and they were initially
There´s much talk about Chris Christie as the frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016 (yes, already). Christie is certainly gearing up for a run, and has begun by attacking potential GOP rivals. But while moderate Republicans like Christie for 2016, he is their version of what Rick Perry was for conservatives in the 2012 race: a locally successful governor whose attributes will not stand up well on the national stage. Perry had much to recommend him as a national contender: staunch conservatism on most policy issues, and an economic record that even liberals would find attractive. But his Texas
Hillary Clinton has worked her way back in the news by making racially-charged remarks to the American Bar Association’s annual meeting in San Francisco. There is, she claimed, an ongoing “assault on voting rights.” But the only “assault” going on is a liberal assault on the truth about efforts to protect the integrity of our election process. Clinton’s polemic claims fit nicely within a calculated political strategy adopted late last year. At a December meeting in Washington, D.C., three dozen of the most powerful liberal advocacy groups providing money and manpower for Democratic candidates hammered out three agreed-upon objectives for
CBS ace Sharyl Attkisson is tweeting about the status of her Freedom of Information Act request for materials related to White House activities related to the night that four Americans died in the terrorist attack on the US facility in Benghazi, Libya. President Obama has tried to defend his health care plan lately by criticizing Republicans for trying to roll back ObamaCare without offering any alternatives -- despite the fact that Republicans have offered several. In a White House news conference a week ago, the president said: "They used to say, ´well, we´re going to replace it with something better.´ There´s not even a pretense now that they´re going to replace it with something better." Moments later, Obama elaborated, saying "they used to say they had a replacement. That never actually arrived, right? I mean, I´ve been hearing about this whole replacement thing for
The Senate’s most senior lawmaker said Friday that the intelligence community is still not being truthful about its snooping activities and how they may be picking up communications from Americans, and vowed to hold hearings when Congress returns from its summer vacation. “The American people rely on the intelligence community to provide forthright and complete information so that Congress and the courts can properly conduct oversight,” Sen. Patrick J. Leahy, Vermont Democrat, said. “I remain concerned that we are still not getting straightforward answers from the NSA.”
There´s a certain page on Facebook people of faith do not “like.” Created in February, the “Virgin Mary Should’ve Aborted” Facebook page originally included this controversial description, presumably speaking from Mary’s perspective: I´m here to explain what really happened in biblical times, since the bible is full of lies. My rapist´s offspring has destroyed the planet and brainwashed millions. Rage-quitting is for loose buttholes. Bible-believing Facebook users who are members of the group, “Catholics & Protestants Against FB Religious Discrimination” led the online fight to have the page taken down -- and succeeded. But, they didn’t have long to celebrate.
Three teenagers were charged Tuesday in the killing of a white college student in Duncan, Oklahoma, and part of the story is what didn´t happen. There was no saturation cable TV coverage, no press conference featuring Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson, and no statement from the Oval Office. The death of Christopher Lane, while as troubling as that of Trayvon Martin, will not become a national touchstone of racial and cultural debate or reflection. But maybe it should. A 22-year-old Australian from Melbourne, Lane was attending East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, to pursue his dream of playing that American pastime,
Trenton — In case anyone had any doubts on where Gov. Chris Christie stands on climate change, he made his position crystal clear this afternoon: It´s real and it´s a problem. In vetoing a bill (S2946) that would have required New Jersey to stay in a regional program intended to curb greenhouse gases — a program Christie plans to leave by the end of the year — the governor said "climate change is real." He added that "human activity plays a role in these changes" and that climate change is "impacting our state." Christie´s words are his strongest to date in regards to
Bradley Manning, the Army private sentenced to military prison for leaking classified documents, revealed he intends to live out the remainder of his life as a woman. “I am Chelsea Manning. I am female,” the Army private wrote in a statement read on TODAY Thursday. “Given the way that I feel, and have felt since childhood, I want to begin hormone therapy as soon as possible. I hope that you will support me in this transition.” Manning, 25, was sentenced to 35 years in prison on Wednesday after having been found guilty of 20 charges ranging from espionage to theft for leaking
More than 1,600 new employees hired by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Resources in the aftermath of Obamacare´s passage include just two described as ´consumer safety´ officers, but 86 tasked with ´criminal investigating´ – indicating that the agency is building an army of detectives to sleuth out violations of a law that many in Congress who supported it still find confusing. On the day President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act into law in 2010, HHS received authority from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to make as many as 1,814 new hires under an emergency ´Direct Hiring
CAIRO — The world’s most influential Islamist movement is in danger of collapse in the land of its birth — its leaders imprisoned, its supporters slain and its activists branded as terrorists in what many are describing as the worst crisis to confront Egypt’s 85-year-old Muslim Brotherhood. In the week since Egypt’s new military-backed rulers ordered a brutal crackdown on camps filled with protesters calling for the reinstatement of ousted president Mohamed Morsi, the group that used its organizational muscle to win the country’s first democratic elections, held in late 2011 and early 2012, has been cast into disarray. Analysts
Christopher Lane was gunned down in cold blood – shot in the back as he jogged alongside a road in Duncan, Okla. His alleged attackers were teenagers who told police they were bored and killed the college athlete for “the fun of it.” The 22-year-old was attending school at East Central University – an Australian native who played baseball. Good Samaritans saw the shooting and immediately rushed to offer aid. One person called 911. Another tried to administer CPR. But it was too late. The young athlete with a promising future lingered for several minutes – gasping for air. And then he
Former President Bill Clinton´s foundations spent a total of $50million on travel over the past decade, $12.1million of which was spent in just one year. An internal investigation into spending at the various charities that the former President runs found that the funds used for travel costs have gone up in recent years. The audit comes as new reports have revealed that the Clinton Foundation has been ´in the red´ for years even though the charity has raised hundreds of millions of dollars each year, showing the high cost of running the worldwide charity.
Chris Lane is the Australian college student and baseball player who was murdered while jogging along a street in Duncan, Oklahoma. The perpetrators were three teenagers who were bored and decided to murder someone just for fun. They saw Lane running by, got in a car, drove behind him and shot him in the back. Two of the bored teenagers, Chancey Luna and James Edwards, have been charged with first degree murder:(Snip for photos)Their confederate Michael Jones is charged with being an accessory after the fact. Apparently Jones was driving the car, while Luna pulled the trigger on a .22
MSNBC host Chris Matthews went off on Tuesday about what he characterized as a variety of efforts by Republicans and conservatives to “delegitimize” President Barack Obama. Among the efforts he cited to prove this case are Republicans calling Obama “a liberal leader,” or simply “Obama,” instead of “The President of the United States.” Addressing Bush’s Brain author Wayne Slater, Matthews tore into what he saw as GOP efforts to ensure that the president’s legacy is a mixed one. “It seems there’s a very interesting compelling continuing effort to delegitimize this president,” Matthews insisted. “People on the right say he’s a disaster, which
Emboldened by an outpouring of support on social media, low-wage fast-food and retail workers from eight cities who have staged walkouts this year are calling for a national day of strikes Aug. 29. The workers — who are backed by local community groups and national unions and have held one-day walkouts in cities such as New York, St. Louis and Detroit — say they have received pledges of support from workers in dozens of cities across the country. The workers are calling for a wage of $15 an hour and the right to form a union. Organizers of the walkout say
Prosecutors on Tuesday charged two teenagers accused of gunning down an Australian student in Oklahoma for the “fun of it” with first-degree murder, and a third teen with being an accessory. Officials say 22-year-old Christopher Lane, who was visiting the U.S. on a baseball scholarship at East Central University, was jogging along a road in Duncan, Okla., after visiting his girlfriend on Friday when he was shot in the back, allegedly by the teens.
GARY | A female student was beaten when four adults attempted to rob a group of school children at the bus stop in Gary at 7 a.m. Wednesday, police said. The girl was among seven Lake Ridge Middle School students waiting at the bus stop near the intersection of 24th Avenue and Gerry Street. The victim said the four adults -- two males and two females -- exited the car and demanded cellphones and money. "I told them I don´t have a cellphone, and I don´t have any money," she said as she described the event following the school day.
