Obama donors get to dine with the
Least Interesting Man in the World

Investor's Business Daily, by Andrew Malcolm

Politicians this cycle have been raffling off dinners with themselves in return for donations. As you can see from this photo, the resulting soirees are full of excitement, lots of great food, ObamaCare promises and a whole lot of fun. Throughout these evening events with awed supporters the incumbent president is as animated as he was during the debate with Gov. Mitt Romney. In fact, this Democrat president has proven to be the Least Interesting Man in the World.

A wonderful takeoff on the (beer?) ad for The Most Interesting Man in the World. Malcolm's list will give you a giggle.

"He is determined to find out what comes after trillion."

"He recently promised to release 10 years of birth certificates."

"He once created seven new states to see if anyone noticed."

"He picked a 30-watt VP partner to make himself appear smarter."

And more.

Andrew Malcolm is a treasure.

The role of The Most Interesting Main In The World is played convincingly by a Jewish guy. The role of The (Christian American) Least Interesting Man In The World is played unconvincingly by a Muslim Kenyan.

With ''He lives vicariously through himself'' Malcolm comes close to a golden oldie. (Remember the old line about Clinton? Obama also shouts his own name during romantic encounters.)

One of the most powerful tools politicians have at their disposal is self-deprecation, the skill of making gentle fun of themselves in public, enough to get a laugh and show a humble human side. But not enough to feed critics. Ronald Reagan was the modern master of that. [Snip] Wednesday night´s Tonight Show revealed both Jimmy Fallon´s deft timing and skills in comedic sketches and the continuing power and skill of his surprise guest.

Administration agencies are currently revising nutritional recommendations that will guide federal food and meal purchases for years after Barack Obama is playing golf behind his presidential library. The federal Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee -- these are the folks who brought us the carb-heavy food pyramid now deemed erroneous -- is meeting these days to update nutritional guidelines to conform with new scientific evidence and with the determination of First Lady Michelle Obama to change America´s eating habits.

Acknowledgment from the podium. It´s one of the most powerful public tools available to any American politician. And it´s free. Thank their good friend so-and-so in front of a large crowd. It´s a predictable staple of Barack Obama´s repetitive rhetoric nowadays. [Snip] So, it was unusually revealing Tuesday afternoon when an ebullient Obama launched his ObamaCare ´enrollment´ victory lap with not one single acknowledgment. He was not going to share this self-congratulatory moment with anyone.

The Obama administration today will tout impressive enrollment numbers for ObamaCare with the confident precision that can only come from the knowledge that no one else is counting. No one else can count the numbers. Because the Obama administration controls access to all the numbers. It´s probably a coincidence, but that is exactly the way votes are counted by the Chicago Democratic machine. And if the Obama crowd is strutting for the media over enrollment numbers, Americans aren´t hearing more about his growing list of foreign policy embarrassments.

Late-night comedians and their writers pounce on the day´s news as their primary source to twist and distort into laughs. Russia, of course, remains a hot item following the "uncontested arrival" of its troops in Crimea. Reflecting the diminished approval of President Obama, the late-night shows have been aiming their laughs at him more. Even Jimmy Fallon, who kicked off his Jay Leno replacement tour with a Michelle Obama interview, has aimed some laughs at his presidential pal. Although he quickly returns with something barbed at Republicans.

Good morning. I’m Congresswoman Jackie Walorski. Today, I’m calling on President Obama — the Commander-in-Chief of our Armed Forces — to support H.R. 4031, the VA Management Accountability Act. I do so as a member of the House Veterans Affairs Committee. Without this real-world accountability, the VA has become the epitome of bureaucracy run amok.

Ladies and gentlemen, I’m Joe Biden. I’m filling in for President Obama, who is abroad. I want to talk to you today about the minimum wage and the overwhelming need to raise the minimum wage. There’s no reason in the world why an American working 40 hours a week has to live in poverty. But right now a worker earning the federal minimum wage makes about $14,500 a year.

President Obama, whose poll approval numbers hover weakly around 40% among Americans, met Thursday with Pope Francis, whose approval numbers among the same people are 76%. Now, you know why the Chicago Democrat sought the meeting. The two leaders exchanged gifts. The Vicar of Christ gave the ex-state senator a copy of his book "The Joy of the Gospel." The 44th president gave the head of the world´s Roman Catholic Church a box of fruit and veggie seeds from his wife´s garden. The first meeting of the new pope and lame-duck president was closely-watched because of the Democrat's concerted efforts to bring religious

To the surprise of absolutely no one outside the Obama Oval Office, those Crimeans who voted in Sunday´s trumped-up referendum opted overwhelmingly to rejoin Russia. This as thousands of Russian troops occupied the Ukrainian province, while an even larger Russian army happened to conduct ´war games´ on Ukraine´s border. Obama, the former community organizer, again telephoned President Vladimir Putin, the former KGB colonel. Obama reminded the Russian he´d broken international law. Obama warned the Russian the referendum "would never be recognized by the United States." Bet that stung.

Good morning. My name is Bill Johnson, and I’m proud to represent Eastern and Southeastern Ohio in the House of Representatives. Four years ago today, President Obama came to our state and promised our seniors that his health care law would protect their benefits. He said this: “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan. If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. I don´t want to interfere with people’s relationships between them and their doctors." Now, the reality is, not only is the president’s health care law interfering with these relationships — it’s ending them.

This week, I ordered a review of our nation’s overtime rules, to give more Americans the chance to earn the overtime pay they’ve worked for. ANN ARBOR, Mich. – President Obama compared the Republican budget plan to a "stinkburger" or "meanwich" during a speech here Wednesday, using a series of zingers in an attempt to strike a contrast with the GOP on economic issues in an election year. In a speech to an enthusiastic crowd of 1,400 at the University of Michigan, Obama repeatedly mocked Republican ideas about how to improve the economy, as he touted his own proposal to raise the minimum wage. Obama, who visited the local Zingerman´s deli before the speech, said that Republican proposals to cut taxes for wealthier Americans and

In his opening statement during highly anticipated testimony Wednesday on Benghazi, former CIA deputy director Michael Morell claimed to be an intelligence professional who was willing to lay out the facts -- no matter how damaging. Sources on the ground in Benghazi during the 2012 terror attack are pushing back hard on former CIA acting director Mike Morell´s testimony on Capitol Hill, where he defended his role in shaping the administration´s narrative and claimed politics were not involved. As part of Morell´s testimony on Wednesday, the former acting and deputy CIA director acknowledged that he overruled the guidance of the top CIA officer in Libya at the time. That official told Morell the attack was not an "escalation of protests," but Morell said he had to weigh that against analysts who concluded the opposite. He ultimately went

A driver who travelled 15,000 miles in a year would pay about $75. "Basically you pay per the mile. Do you think members of Congress are overpaid or underpaid? Most likely you’d go with the former, but Democratic congressman Jim Moran argues it’s actually the latter. In an interview with CQ Roll Call, Moran says, “I think the American people should know that the members of Congress are underpaid.” The House recently took up a bill to freeze members’ paychecks, placing another halt on the annual cost-of-living pay increases they would normally get and keeping annual salary at $174,000. Those networks did not, however, accommodate the White House’s request. “Three sources familiar with the request confirmed the White House asked for the prime time slot in their effort both to emphasize a bright moment following the challenging roll out and, more important, to try to reintroduce the country to a law that remains unpopular,”
