'Iran considers deliberate
Persian Gulf oil spill'

Jerusalem Post [Israel] & Reuters, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:Photoonist, 10/14/2012 11:14:43 PM

Iran is considering the possibility of spilling oil in the Persian Gulf in order to contaminate the waters of the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, German weekly Der Spiegel reported on Sunday. The spill would be a way of "punishing" the West and forcing it to decrease the economic sanctions imposed against Tehran. Citing Western intelligence sources, Der Spiegel reported that the plan, codenamed "Murky Waters," is meant to block shipping routes in the Gulf to international oil tankers.

Comments:
Iran is run by a criminal regime that already is known for supporting terrorists around the world. Because of this there was never any reason to allow Ahmadinejad into the UN or NYC. Their regime must be removed by whatever means prove to be necessary. What do you think would happen to oil prices the day they did this? So if they are planning on it, they will wait until after our election. They know how weak 0bama is.

You can't give in to such a threat.

If they do it then they do it and you make them regret it.

Hard to do for very long due to the high tidal currents; up to 5 knots at times. PLUS Saudi and the UAE have pipelines by-passing the strait now. Not enough to carry all the normal crude load, but about 1/3rd. Meanwhile Iran would have no way to export their oil.

Nothing will happen with Iran until Obama is out of office.

Notice that Obama supports enemy states of America and harms traditional allies. I mean, right down the line.

Enemies Given a Pass by Obama:

The Mullahs in Iran
China
Russia
Venezuela
Illegal immigrants
The Taliban
The Muslim Brotherhood

Traditional Allies Harmed by Obama:

Great Britain
Israel
Mubarrak's Egypt
Khadaffi's Libya
The Green Revolution of Iran
Eastern Europe/Poland/Hungary missile defense
Suits against US states regarding immigration and voter ID

I'm sure there are more. He is absolutely against US culture and history. I need to see D'Souza's 2016 movie soon.

We at Townhall have been covering this hotly contested Senate race for months and the results are finally in: With 36 percent of precincts reporting, Elizabeth Warren has been declared the next junior Senator from Massachusetts. Warren has never held public office before and the eye-popping $40 million she raised this election cycle evidently proved more than enough to unseat incumbent Senator Scott Brown. This was the most expensive Senate race of 2012 -- by a long shot.

CNN’s Peter Hamby reported that Mitt Romney‘s internal polling showed President Obama leading in Ohio by five percentage points.Per Hamby’s post: The number represented a sharp final bump for Obama in Ohio, a race that had essentially been a tied race through much of the previous week, according to the campaign’s daily tracking. The polling, which also showed a tight race in Pennsylvania, explains why Romney officials decided to send their candidate on last-minute Election Day visits to Cleveland and Pittsburgh.

The Obama and Romney campaigns may be gearing up for a very late night, with one Obama campaign adviser predicting that in Florida alone, "they'll be counting until 2 a.m." The Obama adviser said signs suggest the race is quite tight, though the campaign claimed to be "holding strong" in key battlegrounds like Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The adviser also said turnout among black voters in Virginia was better than expected, suggesting that could be a problem for Mitt Romney. Republican operatives in Virginia, though, predicted a razor-thin victory for their candidate in the state.

Washington - Early returns on Tuesday in what is anticipated to be a dead even presidential election contained no surprises, as CNN projected President Barack Obama will win his home state of Illinois and eight other races while Republican challenger Mitt Romney will win nine states. All races called so far went as expected after the roller-coaster ride of an election campaign that was buffeted by a superstorm and missteps on both sides. Obama and Romney ran dead even in final polls that hinted at a result rivaling some of the closest presidential elections in history, reflecting the deep political

A week after Hurricane Sandy slammed into the East Coast, a majority of voters said President Barack Obama’s response to the crisis wasn’t a factor in their vote, according to early exit polls. Fifty-five percent of those surveyed, per CBS News’ early exit polling released by radio station WKZO in Kalamazoo, Mich., said Obama’s handling of the storm was a minor factor in their vote or wasn’t a factor at all. Twenty-six percent named Sandy as an “important” factor, and 15 percent said it was the “most important” factor in their decision.

Mitt Romney is leading among independents in both Ohio and Virginia, early exit polls show. In Ohio, the former Massachusetts governor takes 56 percent of self-identified independents, compared with 40 percent for President Barack Obama. That’s a huge decrease for Obama from 2008, when the exit polls found him winning independents in Ohio by 12 points, 52 percent to 44 percent for John McCain. The numbers are similar but slightly tighter in Virginia: Romney takes 53 percent of independents there, according to ABC News exit polls, a 12-point lead over Obama. In 2008, Obama won independents in the state by

As expected, the presidential race is tight in Ohio, where the polls just closed: President Obama is winning women 55 percent to 44 percent in the early CBS News exit poll, while Mitt Romney is leading 52 percent to 46 percent among men. Women made up 51 percent of the electorate, compared to 49 percent among women. Thirty-nine percent of voters so far identified themselves as Democrats, compared to 30 percent calling themselves Republican. Thirty-one percent identified as independent or something else, and Romney has a big edge among this group - 56 percent to 40 percent for Mr. Obama.

As expected, Republican candidate for President, Mitt Romney, won West Virginia’s five electoral votes in Tuesday’s General Election over President Barack Obama. National media outlets called the race in West Virginia shortly after polls closed at 7:30 p.m. President Obama’s fate in West Virginia has never been in question, as he garnered just 60 percent of the democratic vote in the May primary. Early exit polls show Election Day voters are slightly more Republican than in 2008 and broadly concerned about the state of the U.S. economy. Six in 10 voters said the economy is their top issue according to the poll, which was released by The Associated Press and conducted on behalf of a consortium of media companies. Less than a quarter of voters said their families were better off than four years ago — a point seized on by many Republicans as the results leaked out.

Before getting to the speech itself, it’s worth noting a few things. When the Democrats passed and Barack Obama signed Obamacare, the majority opposed it. About 56%, in fact. A majority have consistently opposed that law ever since. The Obama administration touted 7 million sign-ups by March 31 as “success.” When that goal appeared to be unreachable, the administration suggested that maybe 5 or 6 million would be enough. Now, as if by magic, they have their number. Somehow. All along, the administration has touted false numbers of enrollees. All along, the administration has neglected to admit that Obamacare is

A few months back, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius stated for the record that 7 million Obamacare sign-ups by the end of March would constitute success. She was clear about it. But then February came, and February always stinks. It’s just a lousy month. You’re tired of winter, you’re still miles away from spring, and no one was signing up for Obamacare. A triumphant President Barack Obama declared his signature medical insurance overhaul a success, saying it has made America´s health care system ´a lot better.´ But buried in the 7.1 million enrollments he announced in a heavily staged Rose Garden appearance is a more unsettling reality. Numbers from a RAND Corporation study that has been kept under wraps suggest that barely 858,000 previously uninsured Americans – nowhere near 7.1 million – have paid for new policies and joined the ranks of the insured by Monday night. Others were already insured, including millions who lost coverage when their existing policies were suddenly

A RAND study pours buckets of cold water on the Obama administration’s claims that it has nearly reached 7 million sign-ups for Obamacare. The whole point of Obamacare, supposedly, was to insure the uninsured and bend the cost curve down. Those who had insurance were supposed to be able to keep it. Families were supposed to start saving about $2500 a year. If you believed the Obama administration. Reality, according to RAND‘s study, is that the Obama administration’s 7 million figure is deceptive. Supposing 7 million have actually signed up and paid their first premium — which is not a given,

The former two-term governor of Florida speaks fluent Spanish, is a convert to Catholicism, and has high name recognition. Jeb could raise millions of dollars over night by just saying “yes” to running. Despite all this, there are strong reasons Republicans should say no to him. 1. His last name is poison. Let’s face it, if Jeb Bush had the last name of Something Else he would have already run for president in 2008 or 2012. According to a recent Washington Post/ABC News poll registered voters were asked if they would definitely NOT vote for Jeb Bush and 50 percent said they would not.
