Pants On Fire: Obama
Scrambles For Cover As
Benghazi Lie Explodes

Forbes Magazine, by Larry Bell

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 10/14/2012 9:20:19 PM

The carefully coordinated and heavily armed September 11th strike upon the American Consulate in Libya contradicted President Obama’s repeated narrative that, thanks to his tough policies and actions, al-Qaeda has been defeated. And although misrepresented by U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice as a “spontaneous” outbreak” of violence provoked by a “hateful” movie denigrating Muslim prophet Muhammad, he and other high members of his administration knew full well and early on that this was patently untrue. Congressional testimony reveals that the White House had been informed on day one that al-Qaeda terrorists were responsible for the murders of U.S. Ambassador

Comments:
Yo Barry, how's that debate prep going, eh?

What #1 said. How much do Americans have to put up with? If this was a Republican.. well.. you know. Enough!

Mittens needs to hammer him with this on every question/answer/discussion or whatever it is they are going to be doing. Iron fists in velvet mittens. Get him flustered then his petulance will start showing and it will be ugly.

Obama just flat refuses to call Islamic terrorism terrorism. I guess if he doesn't call it want it is it doesn't exist. He, has by words and action, gone to great lengths to almost cover for them and protect the radicals. Sure wish someone would ask him why.

I am so sick of Republicans covering for Hillary Clinton, leap frogging over her and her direct responsibility for every under armed and under prepared embassy that suffered attacks.

So eager to get to Obama, who is but indirectly responsible for every government function and failure, Republicans waste facts against Hillary, by pointing instead to Susan Rice, over at the UN, when Hillary was days out in front of Rice dragging this fiction around.

Obama says only what he's told to say, but Hillary runs her ship of State, knows very well the truth was running in real time on live video downstairs at the state dept, and chose to replace the truth with a lie.

Reply 7 - Posted by: steph_gray, 10/14/2012 11:03:16 PM     (No. 8933447)

Sick of all that, #6.

Also pretty sick of the pejorative "mittens." Our candidate is a good strong one and needs all our support this month to free us all from the nightmare in the White House.

I personally can't wait for the moment we get President Mitt Romney.

Obama has lied steadily and systematically about the murder of our Ambassador in Benghazi for 4 weeks.
Now the real story is coming out and it is not pretty.
How does Obama deal with that in 'debate prep'?

Reply 9 - Posted by: quark, 10/14/2012 11:35:53 PM     (No. 8933503)

I would like to know who first came up with the "video did it". The embassy in cairo put out a statement about the "video" 9 hours before there was a protest there. That's where an investigation needs to start.

Reply 10 - Posted by: devnull, 10/15/2012 12:00:40 AM     (No. 8933538)

So, does Hillary slip a little "inside baseball" knowledge to Team Romney to sink the President? Because you know she will not take the fall for this. How will the White Queen checkmate the Black King?

Poster #9 is asking a question I'd also like an answer to. Just whose bright idea was it to blame the attacks on some video that no one had ever seen. How did anyone in the administration even know about this movie?

Exactly #9 - The timeline surrounding the video is more than a little suspect. That factoid has silently fallen by the wayside. Time to resurrect the Cairo tweets and web posts.

No need to hold hillary's feet to the fire. She is just a weak, pathetic, lying woman that will never even get near the presidency. It is the supposed head of the hydra that the republicans are attempting to take off.....and being a hydra, that will not be very effective.
Either obama is the true potus and MUST have seen the video and report of the attack and slaughter very shortly after it happened if not during the attack, OR someone else has the true power and THAT person was privy to the info.
Seeing a bored potus next to the coffins, the idiotic fairy tale he told and then followed by the attitude of the dems on the congressional panel, followed by the nitwit biden in debate, it is evident that NONE of the dem party holds our people or country in high regard. It is only something from them to feed off of.

This is the most damaging evidence to date!
But, Obama is still not worried. He will just continue telling lies, accusing the State Department of misdeeds. He has been assured that his vacant-minded followers will believe 'his' version of events.
.... In addition, he already knows that the town hall debate's moderator, Miss Candy, will stand in for the teleprompter. Just as ABC'S little Georgy Porgy does, Candy will doubtless 'correct' any slip of Obama's tongue and help him to avoid other embarrassing moments.

I agree with #17 about #7. IMO, there is no need for obama to "scramble", the "msm" is doing their best to provide him "cover". If it weren't for his LIES, obama would have NOTHING to say.

I still believe the whole fiasco started when Obama sent people to Libya to retrieve the American arms GIVEN TO AL QAEDA to bring down Kadaffi.

CIA and mercenaries...completely expendable to Obama. But now they are starting to turn on him and tell the truth. Hillary's hands are dirty on this, too.

However, a usurper can be tried for treason.

This whole disaster is being buried by the LSM. You'll notice a vast majority of the articles posted here are from conservative online magazines, just a few conservative papers and the British press.

The LSM is pushing it under the rug, at least until after the election. And then, it'll be 'old news' still under investigation.

Agree with Laura Ingraham on FOX News yesetrday - why aren't reporters camped out on Hillary's laen or Susan Rice's front yard as they were for weeks when the LIbby Scooter/Valerie Plame fiasco was going on? And no one died in the Plame affair.

Or how about the mother of Sean Smith who was killed in Benghazi telling how Leon Panetta held her face in his hands and said they would get to the truth. Why the heck is DoD holding her face - where's Hillary as SoS?

Romney should remind Obama during the debate that no ambassador died under George W Bush's watch - how many under yours?

Reply 28 - Posted by: Cadillaqjaq, 10/15/2012 8:35:22 AM     (No. 8933898)

Reply 29 - Posted by: chicodon, 10/15/2012 8:53:08 AM     (No. 8933923)

When Obama and Biden say they didn't know about requests for extra security they may be telling the truth. All they've been doing is campaigning. Obama couldn't care less anyway. Hillary is just as bad cavorting around the world with Huma.

Since Candy Crowley gets to approve the debate questions from the "undecided" voters in advance, it may not even come up unless Romney forces the issue.

Reply 30 - Posted by: fed-up, 10/15/2012 8:54:10 AM     (No. 8933926)

Im not a talk show host, but how hard would it be to have asked axelgrease one simple question. "Why did Obama say it was a protest because of a video".. we know that is the reason susan Rice said it.. It was already the lie out of our president's own mouth, and repeated by our esteemed Sec of State. They make the questions too complicated and allow the slime to squirm out of it.
I am so sick of these people, I could scream. To hear Stephanie cutter accuse Romney of making this a campaign issue is sick. They are the ones that treat everything as it relates to getting re-elected. That is abunbantly clear by the actions of our dear leader directly after the attack. Going to campaign is his priority. Again I repeat.. he never wanted the job.. he just wants to run for it all the time, which shows a constant need for adoration and approval.

Obama has been just a little bit too obsessed with Dhimmitude & Taquiya. "Shhh-it was work place violence. Shhh-it was a video slandering Islam. Shhh-it was an isolated incident".

Most presidents would have made an effort to rescue those people in Benghazi or at least fight back to some degree. But no, the story goes Obama thinks aircraft, including jets, could not fly 450 miles from Italy in less than four hours! ha!

He should have sent in several helicopters-two or three Cobra gunships(or choppers with door mounted guns) to orbit and lay down suppressive/protective fire, while one or two Blackhawks landed and retrieved embassy staff. This president doesn't believe in fighting back-much like Jimmy Carter. Will the democrats ever learn, in regards to who they submit for the pressydentcy? Nope.

Obama is probably wetting his undies(when Lybia comes up) just thinking about this Tuesdays debate. Obamas caught between a rock and a hard place here: Obamas first debate was an exercise in futility at the least and Bidens debate was an act of insanity. Obama will now have to continually think of facts(some baloney to spout)and try to control his demeanor. He'll probably crash and burn big time in Tuesdays Debate?

A CEO in the White House-can we get so lucky? A CEO who has limited his needs to 250 mil for self and family and gone out of the money accumulating business and served where called or needed in Olympics and Mass where fiscal problems were solved (temporarily in Mass-they re-elected a tax and spend dem)

obama stuck w3ith his record and if he goes for the I got Osama headlines and credit he just whips up more mid-East riots and terror strikes. His underlings expendible (?) this might have been tried but the American public is war weary.

Even the corrupt leftist media cannot save obama from his record or his muddle in the middle East.

Boots on the ground on the Syrian Border? And a plan to put all the Special Forces on one ship in the Gulf--who thought that one up? The Ayatollahs? The Seals and other Special Forces used by dems as if they were supermen--they do make good photo ops.

How much does it cost to train a Special Force troop? It takes a long time and can't just be drafteed off the street. IOW they are not as expendible as the dems who use them seem to think?

BO's record is appalling in just about everything. But the press is complicit by not probing in the slightest. They not only ignore, they actively cover for BO. They are despicable. As pointed out, when Republicans have the slightest whiff of a problem, the press is camped out asking leading questions that imply failure and corruption.

But for BO, no curiosity whatsoever. Everything is fine. Ignore a murdered ambassador. Ignore 23 million people out of work. Ignore crushing poverty. Ignore massive deficits. Ignore an economy crawling on it's knees and about to fall down on it's face. Ignore 2000 dead in Afghanistan. Ignore out of control crony-ism. Ignore a world in chaos. Ignore continual lies, deceptions, and breathtaking incompetence.

BO's pants are 5 alarmers but the press doesn't care.

I just lifted this from ''the site which must not be mentioned'':

According to Col. Hunt (Fox News contributor and Howie Carr regular) as soon as the alert button in the U.S. Libyan Consulate (U.S. sovereign territory) was pushed signaling that it was being attacked a dozen or more monitoring units through-out the world (European, African, Nato, U.S. States Dept. in DC area, etc.) were alerted and instant monitoring began (including the audio and video being sent [real time] from the Consulate's security cameras and the on air voice transmission of Ambassador Steven's aide. With-in MINUTES protocol dictates that The President be alerted, the Sec. of Defense, the Sec. of State, the heads of the CIA, FBI, etc. be alerted ... the monitoring took place for the entire six hours that the attack lasted.

The 09/11/12 terrorist attack [on U.S. sovereign ground], assassination and murders began at 9:30 PM Libyan time = 3:30 AM Eastern U.S. time. Apparently, when that "3 AM Phone Call" came-in ... President 0bama turned-over and went back to sleep as did Sec. of State Clinton.

Can anyone here confirm the ''alert/panic button'' reference? Anyone of us ever work at or for an embassy or consulate??? Is this what Charlene Lamb was doing? If so, why didn't she light up the board with red alerts???

I think most are missing the under-story...

Fast and Furious was an engineered attempt to control our 2nd amendment rights.

This whole video thing being blamed for riots in Egypt and across the region was their attempt to control our 1st amendment rights.

When you have 47% of the population who can't think and suffer cognitive dissonance it is easy to steer them to desired results.

Obama's problem is that he can't afford to offend the muslims. All of this mayhem and murder is part of his plan to cause massive destruction in the world and tear it down to the point where sixth century barbarians can take it over. Then his primary wet dream is to become their grand mullah or whatever the head murderer is called. The man is insane and the sooner his handlers realize it, the better off we will all be. If he doesn't go peacefully, so much the better.

#57--sounds like these bureaucrats just watched, in real time... as US territory was overwhelmed and Americans were murdered before their eyes.

What are we supposed to think here: they 'just like to watch'??!

No one budged when it was reported that SEC lawyers were watching porn 8 hours a day, instead of watching Barney Mae bring down the global economy.

Now we have our foreign representatives murdered ...and these Zombiecrats pretend they 'monitored' but didn't actually see anything.
Yet, they were very quick to arrest some poor schlub in the CA suburbs.
And they're still lying about these ''bumps in the road''.

Let them all go to blazes.

Anyone who now votes for Obama should be declared Anti-American traitors and should be shunned by friends and neighbors or do we have the ethics and integrity to do that?

For the Hollywood crowd, avoid their movies. Yeah yeah, great actors but bad politics is no excuse.

The U.S. has been denied direct access to the only publicly known suspect in custody in connection with the Benghazi terror attack, Fox News has learned, with U.S. interrogators still unable to sit in the same room as the Egypt-held prisoner to ask questions. Abu Ahmed, also known as Mohammed Jamal, is suspected of establishing Islamist training camps in Eastern Libya where militants who took part in the Sept. 11 Benghazi terrorist attack were able to train. Ahmed is not suspected of directly taking part in the attack which left four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, dead.

For the past five months, the Republican message on foreign policy message has been defined by a single word: Benghazi. Ever since the deadly September 11 attack on the U.S. compound in that Libyan city, Republicans have obsessed over the episode. Mitt Romney made Benghazi a favorite talking point in the 2012 campaign home stretch. More recently, Republicans have invoked Benghazi to shoot down one would-be cabinet nominee, Susan Rice, and delay two others, Chuck Hagel and John Brennan. They have dragged a parade of administration officials, including Hillary Clinton

TIMBUKTU, Mali - One of the last things the bearded fighters did before leaving this city was to drive to the market where traders lay their carpets out in the sand. The al-Qaida extremists bypassed the brightly-colored, high-end synthetic floor coverings and stopped their pickup truck in front of a man selling more modest mats woven from desert grass, priced at $1.40 apiece. There they bought two bales of 25 mats each, and asked him to bundle them on top of the car, along with a stack of sticks.

A Planned Parenthood spokeswoman confirmed Wednesday that the agency plans to close two more of its 21 Iowa clinics. Michelle Obama has admitted that she is already tired of the bangs she first sported in January. The First Lady said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: ´Bangs are a day-by-day proposition. They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

No one is more preoccupied these days with Hillary Clinton´s 2016 plans than the Beltway political class—not even the former presidential candidate herself. To hear some tell it, her decision will be dispositive for all other Democrats thinking of entering the race. And pundits and reporters aren´t the only ones positing the "The Hillary Factor": No less than the House Democratic whip, Steny Hoyer, told BuzzFeed, “I don´t know that anybody would run against Hillary…. If she runs, she clears the field.” It´s an understandable conclusion, given Clinton´s stature in the Democratic Party and her 70 percent

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank
