| If you've been paying attention to the Drudge Report lately, you've seen headlines linking to Real Clear Politics data showing how the presidential race has tightened since President Obama and Mitt Romney debated in Denver. Rather surprisingly, the folks at USA Today not only noticed, but also published an article Sunday with the shocking headline, "Obama, Romney Nearly Tied in Electoral College'': Obama leads in states with 201 electoral votes, according to state polling averages compiled by the RealClearPolitics website. Romney leads in states with 191 electoral votes. [...]

The only real shocker is that Obama is even close, much less tied. Which I don't believe he is.

I have been sending up numerous prayers that we are blessed with President Romney next January.
I have this nagging feeling that we are all so hopeful because of the debate and the polls, and I am afraid it will turn out just like the healthcare bill did at the Supreme Court. We were all so hopeful and fairly certain that it would be struck down only to be let down when it was upheld.
I pray I am wrong.

Has an incumbent ever drifted downward in the polls and then come back to win? I can't think of any example except perhaps Truman. But back then they had stopped taking polls well before the election, and their polls were never too accurate anyways.

It really boils down to:
Will it be windy, cold & raining/snowing on election day wherever there are huge pockets of urban welfare voters, or the bastions of the Left at large Ivy League Universities & states like Connecticut? We can certainly pray for it.
Will the story of our Ambassador's assassination in Benghazi not only grow legs but devour this White House Administration in charge? We can push it as hard as we can, in every way we can, thru FB, talking w/friends & neighbors, emailing, writing to our local papers, etc.
Will there be an October Surprise, real time or orchestrated, in our favor that we haven't seen yet (i.e. Breitbart's Revenge)?
Will Obama continue to make a fool of himself in the final two debates, while Romney mops the floor with him?
Will the LSM pull out the stops to help him (i.e. snarky LDS expose's coming out of the woodwork)?
Will The Chicago Thug Dem Machine commit voter fraud the likes we've never seen?
That's what this election boils down to. That and fasting & prayer. This kind . . . this evil kind, does not come out without fasting & prayer.
Remember when we were counting chads to keep Gore from suing & taking GW Bush's electoral victory away? That is how close this is going to be -- all because the MSM carries Obama's water & refuses to tell the truth about his incompetency.
Pray! Work! Talk! Contribute! And pray some more!

The MSM readily admits Romney is closing in Obama but the point they want to get across is Obama is still ahead despite the terrible debate performance. After the debate we saw stories about independents and women flocking to Romney, yet Obama still leads the national polls. There has to be something fishy about the national and electoral polls.
Romney's biggest fear should be the chunk of voters willing to give Obama the benefit of the doubt.Obama has absolutely nothing in the pipeline that will change this country for the better. It's all based on abstract themes that have no basis in reality.

Free golf, y´all. The 2013 Masters are headed to a sudden-death playoff between Angel Cabrera and Adam Scott after a phenomenally dramatic 18th hole that saw them end 72 holes of action in Augusta at 8-under each. And we get to see the 18th again, immediately. Per the Masters playoff rules, all the participants in the sudden-death playoff will go back to the 18th and play it again. If Cabrera and Scott post the same score on 18 again, they´ll go to the 10th hole and play it again. Should the two players tie on 10, they´ll return

One of the more bizarre memes propagated by the proabort left about the trial of Kermit Gosnell, who "faces 43 criminal counts, including eight counts of murder in the death of one patient, Karnamaya Monger, and seven newborn infants," is that Fox News has been almost as negligent in covering the story and the trial as the Big Three broadcast networks, and that conservative media in general have also mostly ignored the story. Through Monday evening, April 8, the Media Research Center´s Matt Philbin noted that Gosnell´s trial "has received exactly zero seconds of airtime on the broadcast networks."

Newtown killer Adam Lanza’s mother considered suing Sandy Hook Elementary School after teachers turned a blind eye to beatings from his classmates, a family member claims. The relative, speaking to the Daily News, claimed that mass murderer Lanza was taunted and attacked by fellow students at his childhood alma mater. “Nancy felt fiercely protective of him,” the relative said. “She was convinced the school wasn’t doing enough to protect Adam. It made her irate.” Nancy Lanza — gunned down by her 20-year-son to start his Dec. 14 rampage — even tagged along with Adam to school

JEFFERSON CITY — Republican lawmakers´ concerns about new driver´s license procedures are being exacerbated by the state´s unique system for marking concealed weapons endorsements. Missouri appears to be the only state whose license bureaus also issue concealed weapons endorsements in conjunction with driver´s licenses. In Missouri the endorsements are doled out by the sheriff´s office but the permits are printed by the Department of Revenue. Permit holders can choose whether they want to have the endorsement printed on their driver´s license or on a separate non-driving identification card. Of the roughly 178,000 concealed weapon permit holders, 174,450 Missourians choose

MIAMI— Duna Lopez started school in Miami last fall not knowing a single word of English. The 8-year-old girl from Barcelona, Spain, with dark blond hair was placed in the Coral Way Bilingual K-8 Center, the nation´s oldest bilingual school. For half the day, she receives classes in Spanish; it´s English for the rest. During language arts, she gets pulled out with three other new arrivals for extra help on grammar and phonics. After seven months, she´s one of the most active participants in class. "In five months, like that, I learned it," she said. Duna´s success is exceptional, but

Some of Manhattan’s wealthiest neighborhoods are exploding in a wave of violent crime that hearkens back to the bad old days when people feared going out at night, according to NYPD data obtained by The Post. Chelsea, Gramercy Park, TriBeCa, SoHo and Midtown South all posted a frightening rise in rapes in the first three months of 2013 compared with the same period in 2012. Felony assaults in the usually peaceful West Village nearly tripled, the new crime statistics show. Greenwich Village’s 6th Precinct tied the Rockaways’ grimy 100th Precinct for the city’s biggest year-to-date overall

A career criminal who stole a truck containing President Obama´s audio equipment was sentenced Thursday to seven years in federal prison. Sentencing guidelines called for a term of about three years, but Eric Brown of Richmond, Va., agreed to the longer sentence to avoid prosecution for 14 similar truck thefts in three localities. However, he could still face charges in Stafford County, which did not join Chesterfield, Hanover and Henrico counties in the agreement. Brown pleaded guilty in January to theft of government property. "The theft of government property is a serious offense,"

Although Levin would not offer the congressman’s name on air, he has been a vocal critic of various members of the House Republican leadership in the past. But Levin called the situation “fascism.” “Well, it has come to my attention that there is a Republican congressman out there who doesn’t like what I’ve been saying,” Levin said. “It has come to my attention that there is a

Pro golfers, golf writers, and TV commentators are up in arms that Tiger Woods was only given a 2-stroke penalty for his illegal drop on the 15th hole yesterday. Tiger said last night that he dropped his ball two yards behind his previous spot, clearly violating the rule that you must drop "as nearly as possible" to your original spot. Golf people are not happy about it. They say that the new rule is B.S. (or it´s at least being misinterpreted), and Tiger should DQ himself to save the integrity of the game.

Few Americans can not answer this question: who is the worst domestic mass murderer in United States’ history? Due to the United States media, most are aware that Timothy McVeigh slaughtered 168 people with a bomb in 1995. Most Americans also know the names of our three most monstrous serial killers: “The Green River Killer” Gary Ridgeway, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy. The U.S. media is again responsible for the general awareness of these men; these stories deserved — and received — national attention due to our common interest in personal safety, the rule of law

In Philadelphia, at a human abattoir on Lancaster Avenue, is where it ends, not where it starts. It starts with the perversion of language. It starts when the icons of a dissipated culture reduce a baby to a “fetus.” From there, Yeats’s blood-dimmed tide rolls rapidly in. Before long, a baby is not a person but a punishment, as President Barack Obama framed the matter in his familiar off-the-cuff iciness. Of course, to describe newborn children in their boundless possibilities and wonder would be to acknowledge, foremost, their humanity. That is why, instead, abortion enthusiasts must grope for words

Here is something I don’t understand: liberals are often revealed as vile, vulgar hatemongers–not all of them, of course, but far too many–yet they never seem to pay a penalty at the polls. Why is that? Margaret Thatcher’s death has been the latest occasion for the Left to show its true stripes. All across the U.K., there have been demonstrations–vulgar at best, and violent at worst. In Bristol, lefties celebrating a Thatcher “death street party” started fires, destroyed property and battled police: This evening in Trafalgar Square, liberals have turned out for a long-planned celebration of Thatcher’s death:

With President Obama, there’s always a catch. In the 2014 budget he announced last week, Obama proposed a more accurate way of calculating the inflation rate for annual cost-of-living increases in Social Security. It’s a technical change in pursuit of honesty and good government. And if adopted, it would cause benefits to grow more slowly, though almost imperceptibly so. Republican leaders in Congress ought to be delighted since they had “championed”—Obama’s word—the idea in the first place. Then came the catch. The president’s price for adopting this gentle reform was hundreds of billions in new tax increases.

TALLAHASSEE - Picture this: You´re in the left lane of the interstate, driving a little below the speed limit, when some guy zips up behind you and swerves past you on the right. Then you notice the blue lights flashing. You´re savoring the satisfaction of seeing a trooper actually nab an aggressive driver — until you realize it´s you he´s pulling over. This could happen, if not very often, under a major transportation package expected to be taken up in the Senate Appropriations Committee next week. Introduced by Sen. President Obama and I were college classmate at Columbia University, class of ’83. I know all too well how mindlessly liberal the students and faculty of that institution can be, and Barack Obama is certainly no exception. My time at Columbia made it crystal clear: liberals always believe they are morally superior. [Snip] It is in this cesspool of intolerance that Obama and his Marxist cronies hatched a secret plan to destroy our country. There are two things you need to know about Obama at Columbia University. First, he was Pre Law and a Political Science major- just like me.
