USA Today Shocker:

If you've been paying attention to the Drudge Report lately, you've seen headlines linking to Real Clear Politics data showing how the presidential race has tightened since President Obama and Mitt Romney debated in Denver. Rather surprisingly, the folks at USA Today not only noticed, but also published an article Sunday with the shocking headline, "Obama, Romney Nearly Tied in Electoral College'': Obama leads in states with 201 electoral votes, according to state polling averages compiled by the RealClearPolitics website. Romney leads in states with 191 electoral votes. [...]

The only real shocker is that Obama is even close, much less tied.

I have been sending up numerous prayers that we are blessed with President Romney next January.

I have this nagging feeling that we are all so hopeful because of the debate and the polls, and I am afraid it will turn out just like the healthcare bill did at the Supreme Court. We were all so hopeful and fairly certain that it would be struck down only to be let down when it was upheld.

I pray I am wrong.

Has an incumbent ever drifted downward in the polls and then come back to win? I can't think of any example except perhaps Truman. But back then they had stopped taking polls well before the election, and their polls were never too accurate anyways.

It really boils down to:

Will it be windy, cold & raining/snowing on election day wherever there are huge pockets of urban welfare voters, or the bastions of the Left at large Ivy League Universities & states like Connecticut? We can certainly pray for it.

Will the story of our Ambassador's assassination in Benghazi not only grow legs but devour this White House Administration in charge? We can push it as hard as we can, in every way we can, thru FB, talking w/friends & neighbors, emailing, writing to our local papers, etc.

Will there be an October Surprise, real time or orchestrated, in our favor that we haven't seen yet (i.e. Breitbart's Revenge)?

Will Obama continue to make a fool of himself in the final two debates, while Romney mops the floor with him?

Will the LSM pull out the stops to help him (i.e. snarky LDS expose's coming out of the woodwork)?

Will The Chicago Thug Dem Machine commit voter fraud the likes we've never seen?

That's what this election boils down to. That and fasting & prayer. This kind . . . this evil kind, does not come out without fasting & prayer.

Remember when we were counting chads to keep Gore from suing & taking GW Bush's electoral victory away? That is how close this is going to be -- all because the MSM carries Obama's water & refuses to tell the truth about his incompetency.

Pray! Work! Talk! Contribute! And pray some more!

The MSM readily admits Romney is closing in Obama but the point they want to get across is Obama is still ahead despite the terrible debate performance.
After the debate we saw stories about independents and women flocking to Romney, yet Obama still leads the national polls. There has to be something fishy about the national and electoral polls.

Romney's biggest fear should be the chunk of voters willing to give Obama the benefit of the doubt.Obama has absolutely nothing in the pipeline that will change this country for the better. It's all based on abstract themes that have no basis in reality.

It all started with an email. The message landed in my inbox on Monday, March 24, sent by a source I trust. “The FEC Has a Question for Harry Reid,” the subject line teased, and inside was a link to a document on the Federal Election Commission’s website. The document itself didn’t seem all that sensational. “Please amend Schedule B supporting line 17 of your report to clarify the following description: ‘holiday gifts,’” it instructed Reid’s campaign office. The line item in question specified that $11,370 had been paid to one Ryan Elisabeth for said holiday gifts. I made a

George W. Bush has been called a lot of unkind things, and now this: Who knew Picasso dwelled within the 43rd president of the United States? The president whose troops nailed Saddam Hussein has joined Vladimir Putin, U.S. Grant, Dwight D. Ms. Lerner faces a vote in the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Thursday that could begin the process of accusing her of contempt of Congress. The Ways and Means Committee announced that it will hold a vote Wednesday on whether to officially accuse Ms. Lerner of breaking the law by

The Senate approved a bill Monday to bar a former hostage-taker tapped to be Iran´s ambassador to the United Nations from entering the United States. By voice vote, Republicans and Democrats united behind the legislation sponsored by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, that reflected congressional animosity toward Tehran and its selection of Hamid Aboutalebi. Iran´s envoy choice was a member of a Muslim student group that held 52 Americans hostage for 444 days in the 1979 seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran. The "nomination is a deliberate and unambiguous insult to the United States," Cruz said in remarks on the Senate

President Barack Obama today suggested that’s he’ll pressure Congress to to reduce voters’ student-loan payments before the November elections. “We’ve got to make it easier to repay student loans,” he told a subdued and unresponsive audience at Bladensburg High School, in Prince George’s County, Md. He used the same student-loan pitch in the run-up to the 2012 election, which helped him improve his support among younger voters, many of whom are having difficulty earning enough in the Obama economy to pay off their college debts. In June 2012, Congress voted to delay a planned increase in student-loan interest rates, after

Other than being far and away the best film yet to come out of the ho-hum Marvel Universe, "Captain America: Winter Soldier" is a blatant $175 million "screw you" to Barack Obama´s surveillance state, and especially the President´s dishonesty and rationale surrounding it. Obama might have destroyed America´s economic recovery and healthcare system, but we can at least thank him for inspiring a 4.5 star superhero movie. With the exception of the first "Iron Man," Marvel´s heavy mythology, even heavier CGI, and over-reliance on flashy Euro-trash villains disguised as non-humans has left me cold. Democrats are facing a senior problem that could get even worse this year. The party has traditionally had trouble with older voters, losing the group aged 65 and over by 21 points in 2010 — when Republicans picked up 63 seats — and by 12 points in the 2012 presidential race. Seniors are the GOP’s most reliable voting bloc in midterm years, turning out in higher numbers than Democratic base voters. A recent Gallup poll showed seniors have become even more Republican over the last two decades; in 2013, 48 percent considered themselves Republican.
