obama applauds himself all the time so the voters should be quite tired of him. He applauds himself when he has nothing to applaud. He's been running against Romney's record and on for his own record. The media's ability to make that work ended when the people got a chance to hear the real Romney and not the one made up by obama and the media tramps.

Many voters didn't know who Romney is. For the past 6 months, the Obama campaign had been defining Romney to voters (and of course, he was the Scrooge McDuck, evil rich dude sitting on top of his piles of money). These voters didn't really want to vote for Obama, but they also didn't want to vote for the caricature that the Obama campaign painted of Romney. The debate showed these undecided voters two things: 1. That the Obama campaign lied about who Romney was (thus destroying their own trustworthiness), and 2. Romney demonstrated that he was the type of guy that these voters would affirmatively want to vote for. Those two points are a lethal combination for a president who took a bad economy and made it worse. Now Obama has nothing to hang his hat on, except getting the far left out to vote. Therefore, expect a nuclear Obama in the next debate. There will be an intentional mutual-assured destruction so that Obama will motivate the wacko left and so that (Obama hopes) Romney will take the bait and lower his own approval ratings.

Romney appears to have the advantage of not being a lying sack of sheeite-sandwiches.

Perhaps that will help in the coming election.

I had said, a couple of months ago, that mr barack would skip the debates. I was wrong.
and mr barack was wrong not to skip the debates.
There were no presidential debates in 1964, 1968, 1972.

The debate sapped Obama's strength?

He never had any strength to begin with, Romney just exposed that fact.

It wasn't just one bad debate. It was one extremely terrible, horrible, bad, bad, #&^%@$& bad debate. It was probably the worst debate performance in history. And that will be hard to recover from.

Romney proved he presidential and can be trusted.

The debate sapped Obeyme's strength because, for the past nearly four years, his brain cells have been on "cruise control" at a crawling pace, and suddenly, without the benefit of a teleprompter, his rusty brain had to kick into high gear.

Expect more of the same for the next debates. Barry just isn't used to having to think on his own.

It's east to run on "what I can do" and not so easy to run on "what I did."
When "what I did" is horrible - we've seen 0 in action and it ain't pretty, now everyone sees it.
