Obama to ‘Come Out Swinging’ in Second Debate

| President Barack Obama is likely to “come out swinging” when he debates Mitt Romney this week in an effort to curb his Republican challenger’s momentum about three weeks before the Nov. 6 election, Republican Senator Rob Portman of Ohio said today. Surrogates for the candidates on the Sunday talk shows predicted a more aggressive Obama will show up for the second presidential debate in New York on Oct. 16. “I think President Obama is going to come out swinging,” Portman, a Romney supporter, said on ABC’s “This Week” program.
|
Comments: He can swing all he wants. He cannot connect because he is an abject failure and any 'swinging' around that issue will be easily identified as a lie. Romney will call him on it, as will the rest of America. He's got nothing.

All Romney need do is tell the truth and provide examples. I`m sure Obama will once again make at least one statement whereby Romney can again claim, `I don`t know what you`re talking about`. Obama cannot claim a single victory in the past 4 years. The economy is in shambles, huge tax increases are coming for all of us, foreign policy is an abject failure an all Brack can do is lie. Everyone except the Obama Sycophants and the morally blind are for more insanity.

Obama goes into this debate with 3 things weighing against him. First is he knows now that he lost the last debate by historic proportions. Second he has the pressure of a must win and as he has never been pressured to perform, and third...his record, he can't run on it.
He goes in with a self inflected handicaps, himself, his record and inability to think fast on his feet.
Get the popcorn, gonna be a fun night.

Reducing the debt? Creating jobs? Passing a budget? Protecting or Embassys? Protecting our troops from being murdered by Afgans? Stopping Iran from making a nuclear weapon?
Or swinging at Romney to fire up his base?

I hope he does come out swinging. I hope he rips off his mask so Americans can see the face of the demon on national TV. His "likeability" has always been contrived. There is nothing in the least likable about this incredibly vain and arrogant man. There is nothing at all likable about the ideology of militant Leftism. Joe Biden's evil clown act merely scratched the surface of the malicious hatred that motivates these people. The core dynamic of Leftism is not love but aggression, aggression against others, society, the world, and against God. Fine words and an insinuating manner conceal the underlying anarchism and nihilism of Leftism materialism. The mainstream rhetoric of Leftism is largely an extended series of ad hominem attacks upon opponents. Obama defaults to this mode in most of his campaign speeches. It comes naturally to him to smear, slander, defame and assassinate the character of adversaries. This is what his frenzied fans are demanding from him now. Their fear has made them bloodthirsty and heedless of the possible consequences. They want him to make a Berserker charge against Romney, tear him into shreds and dance upon the remains. Let us hope that he strives to gratify them. Then Americans who still claim to find this dreadful man likable will see and understand their mistake.

I'm excited because we may finally see the REAL Barry, who only bubbles to the surface on occasion. The potential for him to really lose it is great. (Please God, please).
This debate will be vastly different from anything he's ever experienced in that it may actually be the only time in his entire life that he's been publicly held accountable for what he stands for. The potential for ugly for huge. We're in for the time of our lives!

No. 40 has it -- Obama will throw a hissy fit (or several of them), tell lies about Bain, demand to see income tax returns and never reply directly to any questions about the deficits, Obamacare, Libya or Iran, and the media will call it ''aggressive debate'' and ignore whatever Romney says in reply, and the spin will make you dizzy. Again.

There is no way Barry or BiteMe can win an honest debate because their record stinks and they have no plan for the next 4 years except spend even more. That is why they always have to have a gimmick. In debate #1, Barry's gimmick was not looking at Romney, not acknowledging him, or validating his existence. In BiteMe's debate with Ryan, the gimmick was to belittle and try to diminish Ryan by outright mocking and interruptions.
In this upcoming debate, I expect Barry's gimmick to be him acting like Mr. Sensitive to your pain. He will strut and preen and be cooooool. It won't be better than Romney, who comes across as honest, capable and genuine.

Exactly wrong move in the townhall type debate setting. How do you get tough and macho and over power and win on likability?
obama to morph into something or other and Mitt gets to be Mitt again? Mitt will not have to take any substances to buoy himself up--he is used to not imbibing. Maybe a peanut butter sandwich with the fam and a bit of prayer or reflection-a Tebow moment in private so to speak?
obama the novice to carry all the weight of the socialist hope movement of Ayer and Frank Marshall Davis on his back?

The U.S. has been denied direct access to the only publicly known suspect in custody in connection with the Benghazi terror attack, Fox News has learned, with U.S. interrogators still unable to sit in the same room as the Egypt-held prisoner to ask questions. Abu Ahmed, also known as Mohammed Jamal, is suspected of establishing Islamist training camps in Eastern Libya where militants who took part in the Sept. 11 Benghazi terrorist attack were able to train. Ahmed is not suspected of directly taking part in the attack which left four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, dead.

For the past five months, the Republican message on foreign policy message has been defined by a single word: Benghazi. Ever since the deadly September 11 attack on the U.S. compound in that Libyan city, Republicans have obsessed over the episode. Mitt Romney made Benghazi a favorite talking point in the 2012 campaign home stretch. More recently, Republicans have invoked Benghazi to shoot down one would-be cabinet nominee, Susan Rice, and delay two others, Chuck Hagel and John Brennan. They have dragged a parade of administration officials, including Hillary Clinton

TIMBUKTU, Mali - One of the last things the bearded fighters did before leaving this city was to drive to the market where traders lay their carpets out in the sand. The al-Qaida extremists bypassed the brightly-colored, high-end synthetic floor coverings and stopped their pickup truck in front of a man selling more modest mats woven from desert grass, priced at $1.40 apiece. There they bought two bales of 25 mats each, and asked him to bundle them on top of the car, along with a stack of sticks.

Anti-abortion activists are cheering Planned Parenthood of the Heartland’s decision to close clinics in Spencer and Fort Madison. The news comes after the private agency closed clinics in Storm Lake, Knoxville and Newton last year. A Planned Parenthood spokeswoman confirmed Wednesday that the agency plans to close two more of its 21 Iowa clinics. (snip)Jenifer Bowen, executive director of Iowa Right to Life, said it was ironic to hear Planned Parenthood cite the health care law as a reason for cuts. “They supported it so strongly, and they’re feeling the crunch of it,” she said.

The 49-year-old fashion-forward first lady debuted the bangs in January, sending the Internet into a frenzy. She recently told TV host Rachael Ray that the bangs were her version of a "mid-life crisis." The new portrait, taken in the Green Room of the White House on Feb. 12, shows

Michelle Obama has admitted that she is already tired of the bangs she first sported in January. The First Lady said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: ´Bangs are a day-by-day proposition. They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

If this issue is as important as we all think it is, why not take ... it up and debate?"

No one is more preoccupied these days with Hillary Clinton´s 2016 plans than the Beltway political class—not even the former presidential candidate herself. To hear some tell it, her decision will be dispositive for all other Democrats thinking of entering the race. And pundits and reporters aren´t the only ones positing the "The Hillary Factor": No less than the House Democratic whip, Steny Hoyer, told BuzzFeed, “I don´t know that anybody would run against Hillary…. If she runs, she clears the field.” It´s an understandable conclusion, given Clinton´s stature in the Democratic Party and her 70 percent

On Friday, Sean Hannity brought Pat Smith, mother of the late Sean Smith, on his radio program. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012. In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

The Obama White House is scrambling to blame Friday’s abysmal March jobs numbers on the sequester’s trimming of the rate of growth in federal budgets that have yet to fully commence. After the Labor Department announced that a mass exodus of 663,000 workers left the U.S. workforce last month and that job creation fell 112,000 jobs short of projections, Obama’s top economic adviser Alan B. Krueger, took to the White House blog to blame the sequester: It is important to bear in mind that the March household and payroll surveys are the first monthly surveys to look

Susan Patton, the Princeton alumna who became famous for her letter urging Ivy League women to use their college years to find a mate, has been denounced as a traitor to feminism, to coeducation, to the university ideal. But really she’s something much more interesting: a traitor to her class. Her betrayal consists of being gauche enough to acknowledge publicly a truth that everyone who’s come up through Ivy League culture knows intuitively —

Beyonce and Jay-Z celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in Cuba this week. The couple, who married on April 4, 2008, took in the sights of Old Havana, visited a school, dined on a rooftop terrace and strolled the fan-filled streets in their island best.(snip).The power couple declined to answer journalists´ questions about their visit to the island nation, but some outlets are reporting that the moguls are there as tourists, though that would be illegal because of the half-century embargo the U.S. has on the Communist country. However, the Miami Herald said Washington has issued special licenses for

The budget President Barack Obama will submit on April 10 will contain a proposal that would prohibit individuals from accumulating more than $3 million in Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and tax-preferred retirement accounts. According to a White House statement, the Obama administration believes the current rules allow some wealthy individuals "to accumulate many millions of dollars in these accounts, substantially more than is needed to fund reasonable levels of retirement saving." "The budget would limit an individual’s total balance across tax-preferred accounts to an amount sufficient to finance an annuity of not more than $205,000 per
