Hillary Clinton reveals what REALLY
led to Benghazi massacre - and
demolishes White House claim it
was triggered by anti-Islam film

Daily Mail [UK], by Toby Harnden

Original Article

The State Department has said that it never believed the September 11th attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was the result of a protest over an anti-Islam movie - directly contracting the rest of the Obama administration. By trying to distance her department from the inept and deceptive handling of the Benghazi attack, which left U.S. ambassador Chris Stevens and three other American officials dead, Hillary Clinton could help herself politically for a 2016 presidential run. A dramatic new account by the State Department reveals that Stevens was locked inside a 'safe room' choking to death

Wowser. All hell breaking loose. We should have known there was still bad blood between the Clintons and Obama. Especially Hillary and Obama.

FTA:

The State Department's insistence it never bought the story - expressed by the White House and Susan Rice, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations - that a crude anti-Islam film made in California triggered the attack gives ammunition against Obama both to the Romney campaign and congressional Republicans.

State Department sources have said that Clinton has never forgotten that Rice, who served in her husband Bill's administration, was an early supporter of Obama. Rice has ambitions to take over from Clinton if Obama is re-elected but the Benghazi debacle could scupper her chances.

Hillary? Wasn't she with Obama telling the families of those dead Americans that it was the video? Or did we just imagine that? I smell blood.

After reading this and actual memo released of events as they unfolded, I conclude
*If Obama did not know at the 3am wake up call he slept thru for 5 days that he lied to the General Assembly as well as the American public.
*No way the attack was a protest

and impeachment should be floated around as a solution. Where will the NY Times play this story??

This seems a little like 'operation chaos' in reverse. Nothing like a little arkancide to remind us of Hillary's delightful political presence. I guess all those hints of insider mischief by Bill are perhaps true. This is certainly the wrong October Surprise from the Obama perspective.

Reply 7 - Posted by: Bubbasuncle, 10/13/2012 11:47:07 PM     (No. 8931451)

To insulate herself for 2016? Then I suggest she answer this from Mark Steyn:“Hillary Clinton stood next to her friend Chris’ coffin and went on about this video, even though she knew it was nothing to do with that,” Steyn continued. “Aside from anything else, it’s a wonderful example of how shriveling and corrupting politics is — that in the end, her great friend Chris, his coffin, his body, assuming they’re not lying to us about the body being in there. They lost that, along with all the names of those in Benghazi who are assisting the United States consulate there. Assuming she’s not lying to us about the body being in there, she used his body as prop to peddle a false narrative.”

Ole Laughin' Joe shouldn't have dissed the intel community at the debate. The Clintons could put Obama right out of the race if Hillary were to resign in protest of an administration willing to sacrifice American lives for their own political gain. Buh-Bye, Barry.

Too little, too late. She's already on film for weeks trying to get the story out that the video was responsible. Thank God for videos... the camera sees it like it is.

It's gonna get even more interesting after this declaration by clinton.

Reply 14 - Posted by: lakerman1, 10/13/2012 11:59:44 PM     (No. 8931473)

#11, you are correct. There were lots of rules changes at the DNC after McGovern's huge loss in 1972, one of the changes being the iowa caucuses date.
And after dead ted kennedy lost to carter in 1980, and carter lost to reagan, kennedy pushed through a 'conscience' clause so that delegates, on the first ballot, could abandon their candidate and vote for someone else.
So with a romney victory, which seems more likely each passing day, there would be a huge struggle within the democratic party, with hillary leading one faction (along with bill clinton, of course,) and a biden faction, and a chicago faction. It will be as nasty as it deserves to be.
I look forward to it. It will shrink the democrats in the legislature, and will serve up another socialist like obama.
But in 2016, the nominee from the dems will not be black. Not a chance.

The decision by the Obama administration to try to blame Hillary is bad enough, but Slick Willie comes across as even more despicable!

After Hillary stood by Bill as his Oval Office escapade with Monica Lewinsky came to light one would think that he would not openly support the moves to hang the stinking rotting albatross of the Benghazi cover up around her neck.

As much as I despise Hillary's "I consider myself a modern progressive" politics, can't help feeling a bit of sympathy for the fact that her for-better-or-worse husband seems to be all worse.

I wonder if anyone has noticed how the media is hardly mentioning the issue of character and trust with respect to Obama, but 8 years ago in the fall of 2004, the issue of character was of great import in the Presidential race. Oddly, it was not any matter of life and death.

It was whether a young Lieutenant attended all his flight physicals 30-some years before. It sure makes a difference what party a politician belongs to when the media decides what is a significant issue, what is a mere "political distraction".

Here is a portion of what Hillary said in her official statement on 9/12/12:

Some have sought to justify this vicious behavior, along with the protest that took place at our Embassy in Cairo yesterday, as a response to inflammatory material posted on the internet. America’s commitment to religious tolerance goes back to the very beginning of our nation. But let me be clear – there is no justification for this, none. Violence like this is no way to honor religion or faith. And as long as there are those who would take innocent life in the name of God, the world will never know a true and lasting peace.

Hillary's State Department "never bought the story about the film" but she had no problem trying to get us peons to buy it. And, somehow she imagines our short memories will allow her chances as President in 2016 to be good as ever.

#44 - Really? Obama has greased teflon armor - this scandal is just ONE of several scandals that *should* have brought Obama down. A republican president would already be out of office or impeached from several of the things that have happened during this presidency.

I hope Mitt can bring this up at the next debate but we are all still waiting for Obama to go down from Solyndra, Fast and Furious, Bill Ayers and Jerry Wright.

I agree that this looks really bad for the administration but we are reading this in a UK paper and not the NY Times, WaPO and other MSM sources whose singular purpose seems to be to get Obama re-elected.

I *hope* this sticks but we are still scratching our heads as to why all the OTHER scandals are now forgotten...

In 1973 she was admitted to Princeton University as part of only the fifth coeducational class in the school´s history. (Snip) On Friday this feminist pioneer found herself transformed into a feminist hate object after the Daily Princetonian student newspaper published her letter to the editor. The paper´s website has been overwhelmed by traffic, so with Patton´s permission we´re reprinting the letter in full:

MONTECITO — Her final pep talk wasn´t a pep talk at all. Kirsten Moore was beyond pep. Her final pep talk, given while surrounded by her Westmont College women´s basketball team before the NAIA national championship game, was her chance to say thanks. Moore thanked her team for keeping her soul alive. She thanked them for sitting in the third row for her husband´s funeral, for playing with her infant daughter in the third row of the team bus, for sharing her pain and embellishing her joy. She thanked them for their patience when she was weeping at an unseen

It is still, on occasion, good to be the king. It is not necessarily good to be the king of a Middle Eastern country that is bereft of oil; nor is it necessarily so wonderful to be the king during the turmoil and uncertainty of the Arab Spring. (Snip) the king had explained to me the reason for the trip to Karak: he was trying, in advance of parliamentary elections in January, to instruct these tribal leaders on the importance of representative democracy. He wanted, he said, to see Jordanians build political parties that would not simply function

Some years ago, on a warm afternoon in South-Central Los Angeles, I responded to the scene of a drive-by shooting in which a man had been killed. Such crimes were — and remain today — sadly common in that part of town, so much so that my coworkers and I were well-practiced in the routine of preserving evidence, identifying witnesses, and all the other chores uniformed officers are expected to perform (Snip)We had completed those chores and transitioned into the standing-around phase when our watch commander arrived at the scene. He was a newly minted lieutenant,

RUSH: Folks, I don´t know how else to categorize this. We are living in a dying country. I don´t know how else to categorize what´s happening -- 88,000 new jobs. The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce. Ninety million. People not in the labor force grew by 663,000, and now 90 million. That´s the labor force participation rate. This is 1979 levels.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

Michelle Obama has admitted that she is already tired of the bangs she first sported in January. The First Lady said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: ´Bangs are a day-by-day proposition. They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

No one is more preoccupied these days with Hillary Clinton´s 2016 plans than the Beltway political class—not even the former presidential candidate herself. To hear some tell it, her decision will be dispositive for all other Democrats thinking of entering the race. And pundits and reporters aren´t the only ones positing the "The Hillary Factor": No less than the House Democratic whip, Steny Hoyer, told BuzzFeed, “I don´t know that anybody would run against Hillary…. If she runs, she clears the field.” It´s an understandable conclusion, given Clinton´s stature in the Democratic Party and her 70 percent

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton explained to the Women in the World summit in New York today that the clock is turning back for women in America. Clinton praised her own mother for helping empower her to success and marveled at the opportunities that her own daughter Chelsea has pursued. But Clinton warned that there is still so much to do to promote women´s rights in America. "As I look at all these young women that I am privileged to work with, or know through Chelsea, and its hard to imagine turning the clock on them," Clinton said.

The Obama White House is scrambling to blame Friday’s abysmal March jobs numbers on the sequester’s trimming of the rate of growth in federal budgets that have yet to fully commence. After the Labor Department announced that a mass exodus of 663,000 workers left the U.S. workforce last month and that job creation fell 112,000 jobs short of projections, Obama’s top economic adviser Alan B. Krueger, took to the White House blog to blame the sequester: It is important to bear in mind that the March household and payroll surveys are the first monthly surveys to look

On Friday, Sean Hannity brought Pat Smith, mother of the late Sean Smith, on his radio program. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012. In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

SANFORD - Trayvon Martin´s parents have settled a wrongful death claim for an amount believed to be more than $1 million against the homeowners association of the Sanford subdivision where their teenage son was killed. Their attorney, Benjamin Crump, filed that paperwork at the Seminole County Courthouse, a portion of which was made public today. In the five pages of the settlement that were available for public review, the settlement amount had been marked out. Lower in the agreement, the parties specified that they would keep that amount confidential. When asked during an earlier interview whether the amount was
