Prostitute patrons can’t

Gone are the days of the nameless, faceless "john." Men who buy sex are now likely to end up with their faces splashed across the Internet or the morning newspaper. A Maine tourist town shaken up by authorities’ promises to reveal the identities of dozens of clients of a fitness instructor accused of prostitution is just the latest place to enlist public shaming as a preventive measure.Fresno, Calif., sponsors a website called "Operation Reveal" that features mug shots of suspected johns, while Oklahoma City has the vigilante-style "JohnTV." I've never been able to figure out why the government doesn't just legalize prostitution and tax it. It's legal in parts of Nevada and you never hear much if anything about it there. It also may as well be legal in most cities; look in classified ads for "message" or "Oriental Spa." Everyone including the authorities know exactly what is going on in those places, but they are probably bribed to keep their mouths shut. The bribe money could be better spent elsewhere. And it's not like prostitution is something new. Not for nothing is it called the oldest profession.

If cops have time to arrest johns, and the cities put their pictures on a 'national register' they have far too much tax money.

I'm not even suggesting that it be legalized; I don't care, but it certainly seems to utilize much of the cops' 'precious resources'.
Wait until the penalty becomes forfeiting you wheels.

Worked mall security between real jobs and often wondered why they didn,t have a wall of shame for all to see. Had the opportunity on one occasion to see the files where there were pictures of all those caught lifting, didn,t take long to see why the ownership was afraid to have a wall. Mostly hispanic with a few whites and blacks. This was in west Texas, so no big surprise.

Aside from the self-righteous, self-appointed and those who love to stick their nose in other people's crotches, perhaps instead of punishing either party, it might pay to find out why men resort to prostitutes in the first place. We always talk about supply and demand so where is this any different?

Think about it, why do married men go to prostitutes. What's up with the wife. Perhaps that should be a bigger concern.

If you think about it we are all prostitutes. We sell our body, arms, legs, head, brain, voice to an employer for money. So why is it any different if a woman sells a part of her body for money? The word hypocrite comes to mind.

Just food for thought. Sometimes it tastes terrible.

Lets change the name to some folks who people really despise, politicians......

Dear Mitt

I can't think of anything more shameful that being called a "Barack" or a "Mitt."

Can't speak for others. When we got married, we stood before G-d and a whole lot of people, and vowed "I do" and "I will". Including the parts about keeping some thing only between ourselves. We meant it. Apparently some people recited different vows, or didn't mean them. If someone has no honor or integrity, if his word means nothing, then I want to know it before I enter into a contract, for example. I want to know if he is someone who can't be trusted. If your wife can't trust you, neither can I.

If a Christian man marries an atheist woman, and they name their child Noah after the Biblical hero, is Noah a Christian? It takes a great deal more than words to be a Christian, or even to truthfully call oneself religious; but in Hollywood, where superficiality rules, spirituality is like an all-access pass, no Biblical understanding required. Apparently, Paramount Studios caught wind of all the hullabaloo about how the American public is clamoring for faith-based films. They got a Christian producer and a first-rate, albeit atheist, director, and the project was quickly green-lighted. However, as the saying goes, the devil

GREECE, N.Y.- At their most recent monthly meeting, the five members of the Greece Town Board took their seats, gaveled to order and moved quickly through the regular opening agenda: Roll Call. (Check.) Pledge of Allegiance. (Check.) Moment of Prayer. (Check.) Leaders of this town of 96,000 outside Rochester say they have no plans to shake up the longtime routine unless, of course, the U.S. Supreme Court orders them to. A ruling could come any day now on whether the town violated the Constitution with its opening prayers because nearly every one in an 11-year span was overtly Christian. This

Northwestern University became the first school in the nation to deem its football players full-time employees, thus making them eligible for union representation and health insurance benefits including maternity coverage. Vice President Joseph R. Biden asked Americans Saturday to confront lawmakers who oppose raising the federal minimum wage. “Ask your representatives who oppose raising the federal minimum wage—why do they oppose it?” Mr. Biden said in the White House weekly address. “There’s no reason in the world why an American working 40 hours a week has to live in poverty.” President Obama is waging an election-year push with congressional Democrats to boost the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 per hour. Many Republican lawmakers oppose the action, pointing to a study that the move would eliminate about 500,000 jobs

All of us have read hundreds of blog articles and thousands of comments made in passing by co-workers, family, friends and the occasional total stranger that allude to the Obama administration and it’s resemblance to George Orwell’s seminal work, 1984. There have even been references to Orwell’s 1984 in columns published in the normally slavishly supportive main stream media, which are always easy to identify since the White House normally describes them as “hit pieces.” Orwellian descriptions of totalitarianism

The transition from college to adult life is treacherous, and this is nowhere more visible than among new college graduates in their first real jobs. A few years ago, I took it upon myself to start writing tips for the young staff where I work about how to avoid doing things that would make their supervisors write them off. It began as a lark as I wrote tips with titles such as, "Excise the word ´like´ from your spoken English." But eventually, I found myself getting into the deeper waters of how to go about living a good life. At that point, I had to deal with a reality: When it comes to a life filled with deep and lasting satisfactions, most of the clichés are

Texas Governor Rick Perry is currently on a media tour touting the theme that America is a great place for second chances, specifically second chances for Texas governors with national ambitions. A startling rift appeared Tuesday on the Supreme Court as the three female Justices came out swinging like Brunnhildes — women warriors — for what they erroneously labeled an “entitlement” to employer-provided contraceptives and morning-after pills. The Justices were hearing oral arguments in Sebelius v. Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., a case hyped by the Democratic Party as a test for women’s rights. Justices Kagan, Ginsberg, and Sotomayor sprang on Hobby Lobby’s attorney , interrupting his every sentence and pummeling him with questions taken right out of the Democratic Party’s “war on women” playbook. If Betsey McCaughey is correct (and I bet she is, because she has not only read the entire ObamaCare bill, she has written a book about it), Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan publicly humiliated herself during the oral arguments on the Hobby Lobby case, revealing that she either did not read the law, or failed to comprehend it if she did so. Writing in the New York Sun, McCaughey lays out what is wrong with the Justice’s declaration about Obamacare: she asserted that the statute itself mandates provision of birth control.
