Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader of al Qaeda since Osama bin Laden's assassination, called for a holy war against the United States and Israel Saturday over the anti-Muslim video that triggered protests throughout the Middle East last month. According to Agence France Presse and other sources, Zawahiri released a seven minute audio hailing "the honourable people.. who stormed the US embassy in Benghazi and those who protested outside the US mission in Cairo where they replaced the US flag with that of Islam and jihad." In the audio released by media arm As-Sahab and posted on militant websites Saturday,
Yes, the video he only found out about because the Obama administration kept yapping about it. If we don't hear him condemning the pro-Obama "Zero Dark Thirty", then we know who gained the coveted Zawahiri endorsement.
Nothing new here Zawababaeeri wanted to kill millions of infidels anyway Obama just helped fast track it. Israel will level the playing field soon. Obama assassinated their Santa Claus now the war on/with terror accelerates. Obama's drones really worked out well for him. Just think how mad the bearded muslim rats are going to be when Obama releases his I Killed Osama movie.
McALLEN, Texas — When Rep. Leonard Lance, a Republican from New Jersey, toured the U.S. border with Mexico last week, he saw more than 20-foot-high barricades outside San Diego, a surveillance drone base in Arizona and patrol boats on the Rio Grande in Texas. Lance also spotted a body floating in the tall Spanish cane in an elbow of the Rio Grande. Border Patrol agents told him the man may have drowned trying to swim across from Mexico, or may have been killed by cartel members in a drug deal gone bad. "To see a dead body right here," Lance said,
Pete Rose, baseball´s all-time hits leader, is banned from the sport for life because he bet on games. Now, we all know that people who have done things much worse than gambling are still involved with Major League Baseball and are in or eligible for the Hall of Fame. We really don´t need Rose to tell us that. And we certainly don´t need him to express it in the way he did during a recent interview on Pittsburgh´s 93.7 The Fan. "To be honest with you, I picked the wrong vice," Rose said. "I should have picked alcohol. I should
Could Oprah sell ObamaCare to America? That’s the question on the lips of healthcare activists who are hoping the talk show queen will put her considerable influence behind the promotional campaign for President Obama’s signature law. The billionaire media mogul is a supporter and family friend of the Obamas but has given no indication she’s interested in participating in the enrollment push that is set to begin this fall. That said, the White House is aggressively tapping its network of allies in Hollywood as it looks to drum up publicity for ObamaCare, with Oprah among the most powerful supporters of
RALEIGH— Gov. Pat McCrory on Monday signed into law a bill requiring voters to produce a photo ID when they go to the polls, and it was immediately met with legal challenges in federal court questioning its constitutionality. The new law brings sweeping changes to the state’s election process by reducing the early-voting period by a week, abolishing same-day voter registration and ending straight-party voting. “North Carolinians overwhelmingly support a common-sense law that requires voters to present photo identification in order to cast a ballot,” McCrory said in a statement. “I am proud to sign this legislation into law. Common
Would you share your doctor´s appointment with a stranger? Some people are, opting for a group visit with their physician. It´s a way for patients to get more face-time with their doctor -- sometimes as much as an hour or two -- but the time is shared with other people, Dr. Devi Nampiaparampil, an assistant professor at the New York University School of Medicine, explained on "CBS This Morning." A growing number of physicians are offering the option. Since 2005, according to the American Academy of Family Physicians, the number of physicians offering group visits has doubled. The effort, Nampiaparampil
Rumor spread shortly after noon that the president was playing golf at Farm Neck, which is less then a mile from here. Since I have only one more day here this week, I thought it was a chance opportunity to see the president on his trip to the Island. Driving into Farm Neck was surprisingly subdued, with a security check point of numerous secret service agents stopping and checking cars as they entered the golf course driveway. I had only a couple of cars ahead of me as dogs and under-car mirrors surveyed the vehicles for possible weapons or bombs.
On Sunday, Trayvon Martin’s father was named an honorary captain of the Florida A&M football team. Tracy Martin delivered a speech to the team on Sunday, after which coach Earl Holmes said, “I told him I’d love him to talk to the team. He came out and he was very, very encouraging…[He] got a standing ovation from our guys. He talked about just persevering and told the guys to keep on pushing through the hard times. The message he shared with the kids was very positive and they were very responsive.” Martin will do the pregame coin toss for FAMU
The double standard, the hypocrisy over treatment of Democrats and Republicans, with a touch of racism and sexism thrown in, is clearly playing out in different attitudes towards images of Democrats and Republicans. While liberal heads are exploding about a President Barack Obama (D) clown mask at the Missouri State Fair, liberal heads were relatively intact--as were, alas, Republican heads--19 years ago when a private rodeo allowed bulls to charge a President George H. W. Bush (R) mannequin near Philadelphia, The Gateway Pundit reminds us. Back in 1994, the cowboys used George Bush dummies at the Woodstown, Pennsylvania rodeo. For
SAN FRANCISCO- Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called for action to protect voter rights following the Supreme Court ruling allowing state voter ID laws. In the first of a series of speeches she said would address some of the most critical issues facing the country, Clinton urged her audience in San Francisco Monday to fight voter identification laws in their communities and pleaded with members of a "gridlocked Congress" to enact legislation that would make it easier to vote, The New York Times reported. "Anyone who says racial discrimination is no longer a problem in American elections must
EDGARTOWN, Mass.— President Obama and his wife, Michelle, have begun a weeklong holiday on Martha’s Vineyard that, for now at least, is more a romantic getaway than a family vacation. While their daughters, Malia and Sasha, are away at summer camp and not scheduled to join them until later in the week, the Obamas have put off their usual menu of family activities like mountain biking and a trip to the local bookstore in favor of dinner at the Sweet Life Cafe and a cocktail party. Mr. Obama also found time for back-to-back golf days
Tea Party. Patriot. Conservative. We the People. Freedom. Constitution. Second Amendment. Gun Rights. Pro-Life. Christian. These were some of the keywords used by the IRS to screen individuals and groups seeking tax exempt status and then delay them because they were identified as conservative. (Snip) Allow me to add my suspicion that there is one more type of victim to be added to the list: “conservative filmmaker.” During the latter part of 2011, I agreed to produce a film written by noted author Dinesh D’Souza. It was titled, “2016: Obama’s America” and was due to be released during summer 2012.
WASHINGTON—If former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. is ordered to spend time behind bars, he would like to go to either the federal prison camp in Montgomery, Ala., or the low-security portion of the federal correctional institution in Butner, N.C., one of his lawyers said today. Jackson, 48, will be sentenced Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia after looting his campaign treasury of about $750,000. His wife, Sandi, 49, a former Chicago alderman, will be sentenced the same day for failing to report about $600,000 in income. Both resigned from office before pleading guilty
The sales assistant who refused to show U.S. talkshow billionaire Oprah Winfrey a luxury handbag costing nearly £25,000 claims the superstar lied about what happened in the luxury Swiss boutique where she works. Speaking anonymously to Sunday newspaper SonntagsBlick, the Italian bag lady said she felt ´powerless´ and in the grip of a ´cyclone´ after Winfrey went on TV in America to claim she had been the victim of racism. Winfrey was in Switzerland in July when she walked into the Trois Pommes boutique in Zurich looking for a handbag to match the outfit she was going to
In a story that has remained largely under the mainstream media radar, Congress announced late last month that it would finally investigate the Aug. 6, 2011 helicopter crash in Afghanistan that resulted in 38 deaths, including 22 members of SEAL Team 6, made famous three months earlier when they killed Osama Bin Laden. Grieving family members insist that soldiers in the elite unit were placed in unnecessary danger by the recklessness of the Obama administration, whose actions they characterized as criminal. “We’re going to dive into this,” said Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT),
Appearing on This Week With George Stephanopoulos, Republican Congressman Louie Gohmert battled not only the Democratic panelists but also conservative pundit George Will over the wisdom of shutting down the government to prevent Obamacare funding. Gohmert strongly condemned President Barack Obama’s argument at Friday’s news conference that the GOP’s “holy grail” was enying millions of people health insurance. “That’s a false narrative,” Gohmert said. “He says we’re trying to keep people from having health care. That’s just not true. That is an absolute, blatant lie. We’re not trying to keep anybody from getting health care.
LOS ANGELES -- Oprah Winfrey says she's "sorry" a media frenzy emerged after saying she experienced racism during a trip to Switzerland."I think that incident in Switzerland was just an incident in Switzerland. I'm really sorry that it got blown up. I purposefully did not mention the name of the store. I'm sorry that I said it was Switzerland," Winfrey said "I was just referencing it as an example of being in a place where people don't expect that you would be able to be there," she continued. In recent interview with "Entertainment Tonight," Winfrey recalled a clerk at an upscale Zurich boutique refusing to show her a handbag. Winfrey said she was told she could not afford the $38,000 purse. Staff has added more text.
The taxpayer-supported Missouri State Fair is getting a lot of negative publicity in social media Sunday following a report of a shameful stunt that occurred Saturday night in Sedalia. (Snip) Basically, a clown wearing a mask of Obama came out during the bull riding event. The crowd was asked if it wanted to see Obama “run down by a bull. Things got worse from there." Things got worse from there, which doesn’t surprise me, given the anti-Obama feeling among many fairgoers from rural Missouri, where Obama lost to Mitt Romney (at least 60-40 percent in much of outlying parts of state)
On August 12, Joe DiGenova, attorney for one of the Benghazi whistleblowers, told Washington D.C.´s WMAL that one of the reasons people have remained tight-lipped about Benghazi is because 400 U.S. missiles were "diverted to Libya" and ended up being stolen and falling into "the hands of some very ugly people." DiGenova represents Benghazi whistleblower Mark Thompson. He told WMAL that he "does not know whether [the missiles] were at the annex, but it is clear the annex was somehow involved in the distribution of those missiles."
President Obama took his case for ending the sequester to hundreds of disabled veterans Saturday, saying he protected their benefits from the “reckless” cuts to the federal budget but suggesting next year might be different. “It’s hurting our military. I made it clear that your veteran’s benefits are exempt from this year’s sequester,” the president said to the applause of hundreds at the Disabled American Veterans´ convention in Orlando, Fla. “But I want to tell you going forward the best way to protect the VA care you have earned is to get rid of this sequester altogether.”
Rooms have to be found for dozens of Secret Service agents, someone has to carry a selection of presidential basketballs, and of course the family dog needs his own state-of-the-art aircraft. Arriving in the idyllic coastal retreat of Martha´s Vineyard in Massachusetts, Mr Obama left behind him in Washington DC high profile debates over the budget, government surveillance and his health care reforms. Instead, he will spend the next eight days playing golf, going to the beach, and buying books from the Bunch of Grapes bookstore.
MANY American newspapers were doomed to decline from the moment the Internet arrived on personal computers. But The Washington Post, just sold off unexpectedly to Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, was never really one of them. This is something the sentimental send-offs for the Graham family and its stewardship tended to ignore. As disruptive as the Internet has been for journalism, The Post was uniquely positioned to succeed amid the chaos.
IRS? A system of voluntary tax compliance cannot survive a dishonest IRS. Lois Lerner and company have virtually ruined the agency. For the foreseeable future, each time an American receives a tax query, he will wonder to what degree his politics ensures enhanced or reduced scrutiny — or whether his name as a donor, activist, or partisan has put him on a watch list. Worse still, when a high commissioner of the IRS takes the 5th Amendment, it sends a frightening message: those audited go to jail when they refuse to testify; those who audit them who do the same
On Monday, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told the American Bar Association annual meeting in San Francisco that she would be launching a series of speeches about American foreign policy in the “next few months.” According to Philip Rucker, White House correspondent for The Washington Post, Hillary planned to emphasize restoring faith in government – an ironic theme, considering that she was a member of the current administration presiding over the rapid decline in faith in government. The speech today was clearly a launching point for a 2016 campaign. She put heavy emphasis on bashing voter
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Monday that she will soon tour the nation and deliver a series of speeches to promote more trust in government. She made her remarks at an annual American Bar Association meeting in San Francisco. More specifically, Mrs. Clinton said she was launching a series of speeches on foreign policy. And as part of those addresses, she planned to speak about the need to restore faith in government, Breitbart reported. She also bashed voter identification laws, telling 1,000 members of the
