| Perhaps looking for another outlet to reach his base constituency, President Obama has agreed to appear as a guest with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” on Oct. 18. The President can probably expect to have to fend off some comic assaults from Mr. Stewart about his first debate performance; like other late-night hosts Mr. Stewart has eviscerated Mr. Obama for that appearance last week. But this guest appearance will come two days after the second presidential debate, and the story of the first may have been superseded by then –

After he gets off of the next Romney debate? What is going on? I think Stewart has some guts. He may not like what is served to him..

Tough questions? THIS is what will happen: Days before 0bama appears the writers will have prepared the questions AND the answers and submitted both to 0bama. This is nothing more than a campaign commercial with smarmy Jon Stewart who is animated trash on TV.

They can put a great big teleprompter about 20' away from the couch with big writing on it so the halfwit doesn't get all confused and tongue-tied. And Valarie can be up in the rafters above Omoron pulling the strings.

Isn't this akin to being a special guest on "Wayne's World" from the movies. It seems to me that it would draw the same type of looser audience.

Theatrical superstition has it that it's bad luck to wish someone good luck, so instead, you say something with the opposite meaning. What's that old idiom... oh yeah, "Break a leg".
Well, Good Luck, Barry.

President Obama met with his National Security Council on Saturday to review the Boston Marathon bombing and discuss the way forward. "The President commended the work that was done to pursue justice in the Boston Marathon bombing, and underscored the need to continue gathering intelligence to answer the remaining questions about this terrorist attack going forward," said a White House statement. The Situation Room conference took place as suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev remained hospitalized in Boston after he was caught Friday; a second suspect, brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev, was killed during a police shootout earlier. In remarks Friday night at the White House,

The conservative oil rich state is hoping to steer jailed al-Qaeda militants away from religious extremism with counselling, spa treatments and exercise at a luxury rehabilitation centre in Riyadh, news agencies there are reporting. The luxury facilities, which the country has spared no expense on providing, include Olympic-size indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a gym and a television hall. An hour and a half after the horror of the Boston Marathon he mysteriously tweeted "2+2=" followed half an hour later by another cryptic tweet "Tax Day. Patriots Day." WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama will speak from the White House Friday night following the capture of a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing investigation. Nineteen-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had been holed up in a boat in a Watertown, Mass., neighborhood. His older brother was killed earlier Friday in a furious attempt to escape police. Obama was briefed on the situation throughout the day by Attorney General Eric Holder, FBI Director Robert Mueller and other national security officials.

This has been a strange and deadly week in America. On Monday, two bombs exploded at the Boston Marathon, the first successful terrorist attack on a civilian target on American soil since 9/11. And yet a mere two days later, Boston’s death toll was surpassed by a freak fertilizer accident at a small town in Texas. In America, all atrocities are not equal: Minutes after the Senate declined to support so-called gun control in the wake of the Newtown massacre, the president rushed ill-advisedly on air to give a whiny, petulant performance

The terrorist attack in Boston and evolving events indicate we have a domestic radical Islamic terror problem in America,” he wrote. “No more excuses. No more apologies. Four months ago, the Boston bombing suspect, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who was killed yesterday in a shootout with police, uploaded to his YouTube Channel an eight-minute lecture by the radical Australian Muslim preacher Sheikh Feiz Mohammed denouncing the Harry Potter movies for glorifying and promoting paganism. “How can you allow your children to watch this?” the sheikh demands in the table-thumping lecture. “This film glorifies, magnifies, promotes paganism…What does Harry Potter do and his devilish schoolmates, what do they do? They cast spells, learn magic, brew potions, learn how to tell the future…And this is called harmless.”

In 1962, at the Carlyle Hotel in New York, a man “peeled off his clothing and began prancing around his hotel suite.” His bodyguards were cautiously amused, until the man “left the suite and began roaming through the corridor of the Carlyle.” The man in question was delusional, paranoid and suffering a “psychotic break” from the effects of an overdose of methamphetamine. He was also the president of the United States. The reason for John F. Kennedy’s bizarre behavior was that, according to an explosive new book, the president was — unbeknownst to him, at first — a meth addict.

The FBI was last night hunting a 12-strong terrorist “sleeper cell” linked to the Boston marathon bomb brothers.Police believe Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were specially trained to carry out the devastating attack.More than 1,000 FBI operatives were last night working to track down the cell and arrested a man and two women 60 miles from Boston in the hours before Dzhokhar’s dramatic capture after a bloody shootout on Friday. “In this age of instant reporting and tweets and blogs, there´s a temptation to latch on to any bit of information, sometimes to jump to conclusions,” said President Obama, in the late evening of April 19, after Dzokhar Tsarnaev was captured alive in Watertown, Mass. THE graying man flashing fury in the Rose Garden on behalf of the Newtown families, the grieving man wiping away tears after speaking at the Boston memorial service, is not the same man who glided into office four years ago. President Obama has watched the blood-dimmed tide drowning the ceremony of innocence, as Yeats wrote, and he has learned how to emotionally connect with Americans in searing moments, as he did from the White House late Friday night after the second bombing suspect was apprehended in Boston.

In debate classes or law school, it is often referred to as the ‘arguing against the non-existing opponent’ tactic. The way it works is you imply your opponent is making an outlandish, unsavory claim (though he isn’t), hoping others will run with it or, at worst, that your opponent won’t sufficiently correct it and the claim sticks. To illustrate, imagine Sally is arguing in favor of marijuana’s legalization against Tom. In the middle of the debate, Tom suddenly shrieks: “Well, Sally, you can talk about legalizing marijuana all you want but I just don’t believe

BOSTON - The surviving suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings suffered an injury to his throat and may not be able to talk, a federal official told CNN on Saturday, possibly hindering attempts by authorities to question him about a motive in the attack. With one suspect dead, authorities believe answers to a motive and whether the brothers had help rest with Dzhokar Tsarnaev, who was captured Friday night just minutes after authorities had indicated that a massive manhunt for the suspect appeared to come up empty. Speaking Sunday on CBS’ ”Face the Nation,” Deval (deh-VAL’) Patrick said it’s hard to imagine why someone would deliberately harm, quote “innocent men, women and children in the way that these two fellows did.” Patrick also said law enforcers believe the immediate threat ended when the police killed one of the alleged terrorists and captured the other. The two men were brothers whose family had come to the U.S.

Menino tells ABC's "This Week" that he agreed with the decision to lock down Boston all day Friday, based on information officials had at the time. The two suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings were not licensed to have the firearms they used in several shootouts with police on Friday, Reuters reported Sunday night. The news that the suspects were not authorized to own firearms will likely add fuel to calls for tougher gun laws – an issue that was put on the back-burner last week after the Senate blocked the central elements of a gun-control package backed by President Obama. Because Massachusetts state law bars handgun ownership for those younger than 21, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, age 26, was the only brother who could have

The most glaring fact about our president is that he is an empty suit. The people around him are also empty suits. They believe in nothing, really, but unearned luxury, unmerited adulation, and unaccountable power. Those whom we have come to call "leftists" are in fact nothing but nihilists, and we flatter them when we presume that they value anything beyond their vanities, their avarice, and their selfishness. When tragedy strikes, like in the Boston bombing, these empty suits can look and

He said the Boston attack reminded him more of the 1999 attack on Columbine than a terror event orchestrated by a foreign network. “I would charge these guys as murders not terrorists,” Mudd said of the suspects in the attack on the Boston Marathon. “Do you think we have to fear copycats – more of these small,
