WASHINGTON - The White House is defending Vice President Joe Biden's debate statement that "we weren't told" there had been requests for more security at the U.S. consulate in Libya where four Americans were killed in a terrorist attack one month ago.(snip)White House spokesman Jay Carney said that when Biden said "we weren't told," he meant the White House, President Barack Obama and himself. Carney said such security matters are handled by the State Department.

0bama tosses Madam Rodham under the bus for Biden's debate blunder.

Maybe if 0bama and Biden attended more of their daily security briefings, they would have known about the security requests from the embassies.

Poor Hillary. She says that "it takes a village" and it looks as if the Village Idiot was let out and on stage last night. I thought for a minute I was watching SNL as Biden giggled and grinned and rolled his eyes. Now, they are throwing Hillary under the bus where she belongs. She was too busy boozing it up to pay attention to what was going on. Or maybe she planned on making sure Obama doesn't win so she can run. Sorry, Sweetie, ain't gonna happen now.

Really outrageous defense.

You can’t blame us because we didn’t know? Well, if you didn’t know, why were you issuing statements and making speeches at the UN about YouTube videos? Were you acting...stupidly? Or just lying?

If you didn’t know, why wait until the State Department is forced to testify before Congress (a full month later) before offering that as an excuse? Did you just discover during the hearings that you didn’t know, or what?

I suspect they knew but have thrown both the intelligence community and the Secretary of State under the bus. Having been around the intelligence community for years, I am looking forward to the fallout. Payback is a beeootch.

This administration acts as if the State Department is some third party they have no responsibility for. Obama installed Hillary as Secretary of State, therefore, the State Department is under his/her control, Obama's hierarchy.

The lack of leadership with the democrats is so pathetic, it's really not even worth discussing anymore. These people only wanted the titles, the perks and the paychecks but they aren't doing their jobs. What happens when nukes are flyin' in and they say they just didn't know?

He forced Opie Carney to say something concrete, drastically narrowing the field of usual suspects.

The question is now, will Hillary allow Obama to cheat her out of her rightful place as first female with a shot at the White House again?

Wouldn't something like increased tension in Libya and requests for more security be naturally in the intelligence briefings that Obama gets? It only makes sense. The cartoon on the home page hits the nail on the head. We're told he always reads them even if he doesn't attend them. I don't believe it...even on the plane going to a campaign fund raiser he is playing spades with his buddies rather than reading.

Who exactly was the first to point the finger at the obscure video? Why did Obama come out and blame the video...who decided it was the cause of the "protest"?

This type of run around by the Obozo crowd makes my head hurt. Someone should inform them, Obozo, Biden, Hillery, and all the rest that, as head of the government, it is their JOB to know what intel we have on any given situation. And we all now know that the intel group(s) knew what was going down and what the security situation in Libya was/is. So, given all that facts that have come to light after all has happened, it seems crystal clear to me that someone around here is lying. And it isn't me.

Obama probably doesn't want to attend any dull and depressing old security meetings when he's in a "party mood." It's obvious there are much more important things for him to do.

As for Biden's debate idiocy, his friends in Hollywood should create a new Emmy category - "Best Performance by a Lunatic."

After finding out that the State Department had a real-time feed of video from our embassy in Libya that showed all was quiet until the embassy compound was invaded by armed men, the spontaneous demonstration story is proved to be a total lie from day one. They may not have known immediately who was attacking, but they knew it was a military type attack, not a demonstration. The fact that it happened on 9-11 would give anybody with a brain a strong hint about who was responsible.

Biden’s statements make me wonder if he is brain dead.

Obamacare supporters are taking a bit of a victory lap today after yesterday’s administration announcement that six million people have signed up for private plans under the law, equaling the revised projection put out by the Congressional Budget Office after the botched launch of the exchanges last October. It’s a weak cause for celebration, given that success, according to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, was originally "at least" seven million people getting covered under the law by the end of March. And as an Obamacare factoid, the six million sign-ups figure just doesn’t tell us all that much

If Betsey McCaughey is correct (and I bet she is, because she has not only read the entire ObamaCare bill, she has written a book about it), Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan publicly humiliated herself during the oral arguments on the Hobby Lobby case, revealing that she either did not read the law, or failed to comprehend it if she did so. Writing in the New York Sun, McCaughey lays out what is wrong with the Justice’s declaration about Obamacare: she asserted that the statute itself mandates provision of birth control. Not one word in the Affordable Care Act guarantees health plans will cover birth control products.

Former U.S. Senator Bob Kerrey thinks President Barack Obama, a fellow Democrat, was re-elected in 2012 because he ´sucked less´ than former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney. The Nebraskan straight-talker told MailOnline in an exclusive interview that Obama isn´t up to the job of bringing liberals and conservatives to the table to rescue America´s slowly choking entitlement programs. And Obama, he said Wednesday in his Manhattan office, knew full well he was lying when he promised that the Affordable Care Act would allow Americans to keep insurance plans they liked. ´He had to know he was misleading the audience,´ Kerrey said

YOKOHAMA, Japan — Climate change is already having sweeping effects on every continent and throughout the world’s oceans, scientists reported Monday, and they warned that the problem is likely to grow substantially worse unless greenhouse emissions are brought under control. The report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a United Nations group that periodically summarizes climate science, concluded that ice caps are melting, sea ice in the Arctic is collapsing, water supplies are coming under stress, heat waves and heavy rains are intensifying, coral reefs are dying, and fish and many other creatures are migrating toward the poles or

With studies showing widening economic gaps between whites and African Americans, civil rights leaders in metro Detroit are concerned. “We’re going in the wrong direction,” said Freda Sampson, a leader with the nonprofit group Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion. “We’re getting further and further divided.” To help close that racial and class divide, her group is holding an all-day conference, called the Equity Action Summit, on Saturday at Cobo Center in Detroit. (Snip) Saturday’s conference, supported by the NAACP and Fair Housing Center of Metro Detroit, is to feature talks by President Barack Obama’s former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah
