Fewest Americans since
February 2008 sought jobless
aid last week

Associated Press, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:JoniTx, 10/11/2012 9:38:54 AM

The number of Americans seeking unemployment aid plummeted last week to seasonally adjusted 339,000, the lowest level in more than four years. The sharp drop offered a hopeful sign that the job market could pick up. The Labor Department said Thursday that weekly applications fell by 30,000 to the fewest since February 2008. The four-week average, a less volatile measure, dropped by 11,500 to 364,000, a six-month low. Weekly applications are a proxy for layoffs. They can fluctuate sharply from week to week. If they stay near last week's level, it would likely signal better hiring ahead.

Stuart Varney just reported that ''one large state'' did NOT report their jobless claims. What? I've been trying to find out which state that was but I haven't been able to. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

This bogus drop, gives Weird Joe strutting points for tonight's debate and for the 2nd presidential debate on Monday. Drop caused by "one large state not reporting quarterly numbers", apparently CA. Sacramento must have forgotten to send the weekly fax or the machine was out of ink in D.C.

Since last week's and each of the previous 67 weeks have been revised upward, expect the same next Thursday. But note that next week's estimate will be below the actual upward revision so that AP can write, "Claims Fall".

How conveenienttt that a big rat state didn't report but they announced the numbers anyway.

And they have the nerve to call Romney a liar.

The AP spiins the fact that 339,000 Americans seeking unemployment benefits in a month is really an "attaboy" for Obama.

Ah, the literary gymnastics of a "free press".

The Labor Secretary is obviously trying to save her own job with this weeks data and fudging last week's data. Perhaps Mr. Axelrod has a hand in this? I think this data is faxed in - what would it take to put "call block" on the fax number for a "big" state (or 2 or 3)? Then the explanation would be that they just never sent it in!

Each week these numbers come out the gutless RNC remains mostly silent. They do not pro-actively explain that lower number unemployment numbers could mean more part time holiday workers are coming into the work force as they do every single year around this time. Lower numbers seeking unemployment aid could mean more people have given up.

I expect Paul Ryan, who has the guts to say so, will make the point absolutely clear tonight against POS Joe.

The unemployment numbers are completely bogus based on the assumptions of government employees who favor Obama and seek to keep him in office.

No one can convince me otherwise.

WATERTOWN, Mass. — Massachusetts State Police say a pair of brothers suspected in the Boston Marathon bombings spent the night in a Honda Civic and used it to carjack a Mercedes SUV. Police said Friday at a Watertown news conference that one of the brothers stayed with the carjacking victim for a few minutes and then let him go. They say one brother drove away in the Civic, and the other one drove away in the Mercedes. Police say one then ditched the Civic and reunited with his brother in the Mercedes.

The White House Correspondents’ Association dinner — considered the glitziest and most buzzworthy event of Washington’s party season — appears to be a bit more low-key this year. They turn into mass murderers. We are still speculating about virtually everything right now, but I feel as though I need to explain why I find the quick and easy conversation about Muslims being radicalized in America to be so illogical and laced with bigotry. Of course, there is a global violent jihadist movement, loosely organized, that wants to recruit young men to influence policies at home and abroad and perhaps usher in the global caliphate. That ideology motivates some Muslims to kill innocent people. But you´re allowed to be a radical Muslim in America.
