What Obama’s Raddatz
connection really shows us

Daily Caller, by Matt K. Lewis

Original Article

Posted By:StormCnter, 10/11/2012 5:58:28 AM

There is a line in “A Few Good Men” that I think of every time someone complains about the “good ol’ boys” club. A frustrated Cdr. Galloway (Demi Moore), having failed to outmaneuver Lt. Kaffee (Tom Cruise), asks incredulously: “Is there anyone in this command that you don’t either drink or play softball with?” You can often get your way if you know the right people. I was reminded of this when I read The Daily Caller’s story today which revealed that President Barack Obama was a guest at the wedding of vice presidential debate moderator Martha Raddatz.

You're never going to eliminate this kind of "in crowd" mingling in power centers. But one thing that might mitigate its effects is to have a full disclosure statement on any written article or TV forum in which the author or commenter or moderator is featured. We have a right to be notified in advance of that person's potential conflict of interest so we can judge the fairness and objectivity of what they say.

It would be acceptable for obama to know raddatz socially--IF she were not such a low talent partisan hack. Tim Russert was friendly with a lot of Beltway power brokers, but, he could still be a tough and honest interviewer.

I think when Ryan is introduced, he should nod to Raddatz and say "President Obama sends his regards." Put her on her heels (instead of her knees).

So I suppose we're all just going to sit back and watch this woman do her best to skew the VP debate this evening? Anyone have a plan? Anyone? No. Wouldn't be seemly. They just cheat and steal and lie and deliberately arrange for Ambassadors to be murdered and we do nothing. It wouldn't be polite ... professional behavior ... to broker a different moderator at this hour. Aaaaand ... rollover.

Looks like this martha raddatz person is getting a lot more credit than she deserves. Frankly I don't believe she is intelligent enough to put ANY "gotcha" questions to Paul Ryan without making a complete fool of herself. It is well past time for members of the GOP to get out from under the bed and deal with these people.. We called out Jim Lehrer before the debate with Mitt Romney and look at how well that turned out. Lehrer had to bend over backwards to prove he wasn't "impartial". Good result.

Imagine a situation in which an earthquake destroys a suspension bridge over a deep canyon. A passenger train is speeding toward the location, and those in charge realize there is a potential problem ahead but choose instead to argue about the ambient temperature in the passenger cars, the food service, and whether they will reach their final destination on time. A few people are quite disturbed when they learn of the tragedy about to unfold if the train isn’t halted, but they are labeled as “alarmists” who really are not sophisticated enough to understand the situation. Edward Snowden has plenty of flaws, if you listen to certain members of Congress who call him, at best, a traitor or at worst, a traitor working with Russia. In reality, though, Snowden is simply that roommate who wants you to clean up a little more.(Snip)The most interesting detail revealed was how Snowden hopes to one day receive asylum somewhere like, say, Germany. Now! This is interesting for a number of reasons, the most obvious reason being that Germany and the U.S. are strong allies but leaked NSA documents revealed the agency spied on chancellor Angela Merkel´s cell phone. It’s an election year, which means the Democrats’ crass politicization of important women’s issues is gearing up once more. Don’t be fooled by President Obama’s new push for pay equity. It sounds good, but it is nothing more than a political ploy to distract from the ever-conspicuous cloud of bad mojo following Democrats around as they brace for the 2014 midterm elections. In the past few election cycles, a the left has done a masterful job of courting women by creating lines of division between Republicans and Democrats where they don’t actually exist. Back in 2008, the ploy was the Lilly Ledbetter Fair

Two years after the FBI first began investigating former CIA director David Petraeus, Attorney General Eric Holder confirmed to lawmakers that the case remains open -- amid allegations it is being used as leverage to keep the former general quiet. "All I can say is that this is an ongoing investigation," Holder testified Tuesday, in response to a series of questions from Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz, who wrote to the Justice Department last month about the matter. "I’m really not in a position to say much more about it than that." Let’s assume that Hillary Clinton was serious the other day when she said that excessive partisanship was taking America “backwards.” That means she’s on the phone right now reading the riot act to fellow Democrats Harry Reid and Chuck Schumer. Yeah, right. Clinton’s pose of rising above the political scrum made for a good headline just as her party is plumbing new depths of mud and smears. Reid and Schumer are tarring David and Charles Koch in ways that smack of McCarthyism, though Tail Gunner Joe at least found a few real Communists. Reid, a nasty little man who demeans the office of

Last month, The Wall Street Journal gave us quite a scare. "The U.S. could suffer a coast-to-coast blackout if saboteurs knocked out just nine of the country´s 55,000 electric-transmission substations on a scorching summer day," Rebecca Smith wrote. It´s no secret that North America´s three massive power grids, the interconnected systems that transmit electricity from power plants to consumers, are not invincible. The U.S. power grid is, in fact, big enough to fail. In other words, the grid may be not be the "right" size—big enough to distribute power efficiently, but small enough to prevent widespread blackouts, such as the 2003 blackout that

An accompanying toxicology report shows that Carey, a dental assistant, had no drugs or alcohol in her system when she was killed.

There was no immediate word on the cause of her death at her home in Wrotham, Kent, southeast England. Her father said in a statement Monday: "Peaches has died. We are beyond pain." "She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us," he said. "Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever."
