They already have a $2 billion project with a German company for solar collection in the desert.Somehow these panels heat oil which then boils water and the steam generates electricity.
I get tired of hearing how many homes will get service from all these green projects.They're all based on false assumptions and best case scenarios.
Right now he corrupt bastids at Solyndra are trying to use gimmicks to claw back and personal investment they made in the scam.

Installed a wind mill on my ranch in Kern county............What a disaster. It was the best noise generator and bird killer for miles. Had to shut it down after the neighbors complained about all the racket. Should have flushed that money down the toilet. Would have been a better choice.

Too much sun seems to be affecting the Californian brain - . What a huge waste of taxpayers money all this is. It's a death wish for tourism. No one wants to see armies of ugly wind turbines marching over the landscapes, rusting away and killing bird life. If Buffet is involved,it's smart to steer clear of that old charlatan.

It would take a whole roll of white paper to clean up all the steaming lies and disinformation in this article. Exhibit 1- the oxymoronic phrase "investment tax credit". Nuff said.

We at Townhall have been covering this hotly contested Senate race for months and the results are finally in: With 36 percent of precincts reporting, Elizabeth Warren has been declared the next junior Senator from Massachusetts. Warren has never held public office before and the eye-popping $40 million she raised this election cycle evidently proved more than enough to unseat incumbent Senator Scott Brown. This was the most expensive Senate race of 2012 -- by a long shot.

The Obama and Romney campaigns may be gearing up for a very late night, with one Obama campaign adviser predicting that in Florida alone, "they'll be counting until 2 a.m." The Obama adviser said signs suggest the race is quite tight, though the campaign claimed to be "holding strong" in key battlegrounds like Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The adviser also said turnout among black voters in Virginia was better than expected, suggesting that could be a problem for Mitt Romney. A week after Hurricane Sandy slammed into the East Coast, a majority of voters said President Barack Obama’s response to the crisis wasn’t a factor in their vote, according to early exit polls. Fifty-five percent of those surveyed, per CBS News’ early exit polling released by radio station WKZO in Kalamazoo, Mich., said Obama’s handling of the storm was a minor factor in their vote or wasn’t a factor at all. As expected, the presidential race is tight in Ohio, where the polls just closed: President Obama is winning women 55 percent to 44 percent in the early CBS News exit poll, while Mitt Romney is leading 52 percent to 46 percent among men. Women made up 51 percent of the electorate, compared to 49 percent among women. Thirty-nine percent of voters so far identified themselves as Democrats, compared to 30 percent calling themselves Republican. Thirty-one percent identified as independent or something else, and Romney has a big edge among this group - 56 percent to 40 percent for Mr. Obama.

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. It is understood that a contingency plan is in place for the unlikely event that an attempt would be made on the President’s life. The Secret Service also have diplomatic immunity which will allow them to shoot to kill a would-be assassin without fear of prosecution. As part of the “evacuation route” plan, they would be able to spirit the President by chopper to one of the carriers where a jet is on standby to take him back to the United States.

Distilled to a slogan, politics of late goes something like this: “I’m more fertile than you are.” It seems fecundity is emerging as the best argument for public office, policy or even citizenship. What was once an unconscious appraisal — Is this person strong, healthy and vital? — has morphed into the sort of explicit review one usually associates with an X rating. While male politicians have always strutted their stuff as a demonstration of virility and strength, most women until recently have had no such comparable public measures.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) appeared on CNN’s The Situation Room on Tuesday evening where he was asked to respond to former Vice President Dick Cheney who told Fox News Channel’s Chris Wallace that the junior Kentucky senator was wrong when he criticized the NSA’s surveillance programs. Paul tore into the Bush administration’s role in the establishment of the post-9/11 security regime, noting that he thinks it is possible to catch terrorists using methods consistent with the Constitution. Cheney told the Fox News Sunday host that Paul was incorrect in his criticisms of the NSA’s communications monitoring programs.
