Transportation Secretary to
Stimulus Critics: ‘Baloney!
The Stimulus Worked’

Cybercast News Service, by Eric Scheiner

Original Article

U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood stood on the back of a train and lauded stimulus spending, telling critics, “Baloney! The stimulus worked.” The comment from LaHood followed his remarks about 30 second advertisements “about the fact the stimulus didn’t work.” “That is what this is about today. A good use of stimulus money and I know they’re not running any thirty second ads up here about the fact the stimulus didn’t work, because people here know better. In some places in the country they’re trying to say to people ‘the stimulus didn’t work’ – Baloney!

Comments:
I have just had it with lying politicians. Isn't it frustrating that all you want is people who just tell you the truth.

He is absolutely correct. The stimulus bill worked perfectly. It transferred billions of dollars from the taxpayers to supporters of and contributors to Democratic politicians. What, you thought the stimulus bill was supposed to get the American economy moving? How silly.

Yep - and how about that $500,000,000 that went to Solyndra? That worked really well too didn't it, Ray?
Well, from the standpoint that it gained Obama $50,000,000 in campaign cash, that is.

LaHood creeps me out ...

... he is a full blown socialist.

And yet he served Bush.

Our bureaucracy is chock full of leftists.

They keep power for 20 - 30 years.

They need to be eliminated.

Romney should repeal Obamacare, secure the Mexico border, and purge the civil service.

And institute a flat tax.

That's all I ask.

It worked because "It would have been worse" and "Many jobs were created or saved". A lot of people buy this. Somehow they can't see that if it were really that easy the government would simply "create" a job for everyone. However, when you point this out many people will simply state that the government SHOULD do that.

That is when I really feel doomed.

On 60 Minutes Sunday, CBS aired an interview with President Obama about his impression of Pope Francis after he met with the Pontiff at the Vatican in March. “He’s a wonderful man. He projects the kind of humility and kindness that is consistent with my understanding, at least, of Jesus’ teachings,” Obama explained. Obama also praised the Pope’s simplicity and spirituality. “I suspect, my sense is, is that he’s a little bit uncomfortable with all the trappings of being Pope,” he said. “That’s not his style, and that is part of why I think he has been so embraced around

The Bundy Ranch Saga Proved

The Bundy Ranch Saga has crystallized the mood of the American people. Cliven Bundy, in a dispute with the Federal government, managed to call enough attention to his plight to mobilize hundreds of Americans to stand with him as he nullified federal law. Through organized networks of regular Americans and largely through social media, and without traditional news media calling attention to Bundy´s side of the complaint, the Federal government found out in a hurry that heavy-handed tactics against the American people will not work. I believe regular Americans are on the cusp of doing what it takes to teach

Condoleezza Rice? will remain on Dropbox’s board of directors, according to a blogpost from founder and CEO Drew Houston. Rice’s recent appointment to the board drew some controversy among political opponents of the former secretary of state, who urged the file-sharing company to reverse its decision. The backlash to Rice’s addition came just days after Mozilla pushed out its newly hired CEO Brandon Eich for his support of traditional marriage in 2008, prompting some to think Dropbox would follow suit and let Rice go to avoid political fallout. But Houston writes that Dropbox is “honored to have Dr. Rice join our board”

President Obama made history in 2008 as the first African American president in U.S. history. But according to data in a fascinating new Pew Research Center study, a majority of Americans describe the president as "mixed race," while just more than a quarter (27 percent) call him "black." While whites and Hispanics are far more likely to describe Obama as "mixed race," a strong majority of African Americans see him as black. And black voters voted in historically large numbers for Obama. He won 93 percent of the African American vote in 2012 and 95 percent among that group in

In February IRS officials announced employees will be receiving bonuses in order to boost morale after the scandal broke about the agency inappropriately targeting conservative tea party groups. Citing the need to boost employee morale, the Internal Revenue Service’s new commissioner said Monday that he will pay out millions of dollars in bonuses to agency employees, reversing a decision his predecessor made to save money amid the sequester budget cuts and other belt-tightening last year. The agency remains under fire for targeting tea party groups, but Commissioner John Koskinen said the bonuses are needed to retain and attract good employees

The first challenge Sylvia Mathews Burwell may face as the nation’s top health official could come from the insurance industry. WellPoint Inc. While many other insurers have declined to comment on next year’s rates, large price increases may chase people away in Year 2 of Obamacare, giving foes impetus to push changes. Republicans say Burwell will be asked during confirmation hearings to answer questions that her predecessor as health and human services secretary, Kathleen Sebelius, avoided. GUANTANAMO BAY NAVY BASE, Cuba -- A military judge abruptly recessed the first 9/11 trial hearing of the year Monday after defense lawyers accused the FBI in open court of trying to turn a defense team security officer into a secret informant. If true, the lawyers argued, attorney-client confidentiality may have been breached in the case that seeks to put on trial and execute five men accused of orchestrating the Sept. 11 attacks that killed 3,000 people in New York, Pennsylvania and at the Pentagon. At issue, apparently, was the publication in January of prison camp musings by the alleged 9/11 mastermind,

A rapid shift to wind and solar power is needed if the world is to avoid catastrophic global warming, the United Nations warns in a crucial report today. Emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by up to 70 per cent before 2050 to control climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says. ‘Large-scale changes in energy systems’ are required, with coal power stations to be switched off and replaced by wind and solar. And the transformation needs to be made in the next 15 years or controlling climate change will become increasingly harder and more expensive. The report was published

The platform, with few changes, was adopted overwhelmingly as the Las Vegas convention stretched late into the evening. The vote mirrors that of the Clark County GOP, which voted earlier to remove platform language defining marriage as between a man and a woman and statements opposing abortion. Some time back, whenever a big racial controversy erupted, I trained myself into the habit of reading about it at FoxNews.com, just for the unbelievable comment threads. Let’s put it this way: If my friends and I went out to a bar and started playing a “let’s write the racist FoxNews.com comment thread” drinking game, our efforts couldn’t begin to approach what I read there.I wasn’t alone. Liberal websites started feasting on these threads. And so, a couple of years ago, Ailes & Co. got wise. Stories about race were, at least in my disheartened experience, closed to comments.
