Revealed: VP Debate Moderator
Martha Raddatz Hosted President
Obama at Wedding, Never Told Public

NewsBusters, by Matthew Sheffield

The liberal media/politician/bureaucrat revolving door spins so rapidly, sometimes it's hard to keep pace. Today we learn via the Daily Caller that the moderator for tomorrow's vice presidential debate, ABC News reporter Martha Raddatz, hosted President Obama as a guest at her 1991 wedding to the man who would later become Obama's FCC commissioner, Julius Genachowski. That's shocking enough in its own right but things are further compounded by the fact that ABC News, home of veteran Democratic adviser George Stephanopolous, has long known about this conflict of interest and did nothing about it. Even worse, the network has

Now the question is, "where is Rience Prius"? (the alleged RNC chair person). The RNC's silence on this is just one reason I don't give them a single cent. The RNC, even John Boner should take the microphones and shout from the highest rooftops that THIS IS WRONG!!!

This seems rather irrelevant 20 years later, but I didn't think she was qualified to begin with. With Stephanwhozeewhats, ABC is not a legitimate news organization.

Is this the wedding that Barry caught the bouquet?

It's all Seinfeld, this time with George kissing Susan , the NBC programming executive, at a preliminary meeting to determine if the pilot was worth of test. At least NBC fired this imaginary Susan for conflict of interest.

Hate to be a wet blanket, but considering that the schedule and moderators were announced awhile back, why all the recent fuss? Is this new news or something rehashed? Jim Lehrer is a lib, but it didn't help Prez Zippy. Just unleash VP Biden and watch all the logic flow from the lips of Rep Ryan. Pundits will have their own debate about the debate come Friday morning.

Seems to me Martha Raddatz is lacking ethics.

But hey... we are used to that from liberals.

~~Of course, if a Fox News employee hosting a presidential debate were to exposed as having such a relationship with a Republican president, the story would be plastered all over the media and left-leaning journalists would be calling for him/her to be immediately replaced. Clearly this would be a good idea in this case as well.~~

They protect all things liberal/left leaning......Now that it is out, perhaps she will be more closely watched, and any little bias in her questioning will be noticed.....

I expect softballs to Joe and a slew of questions to Ryan with false premises (Why do you want to give the rich $5T in tax cuts? Why do you want to end Medicare? When you end abortion what will you do about rape victims that die from coathangers? Blah, blah, blah.) The irony is, all these gotcha attempts will give Ryan a chance to expose the lies being told about the Romney campaign.

Reply 14 - Posted by: kono, 10/10/2012 11:05:01 AM     (No. 8922864)

Didn't Liberal commentators and newsanchors moderate the debates last election, too? And the election before that? And before theat?

How about evening things up sometime? Enough Commie-Propaganda 'debates' -- let's have Mark Levin moderate one of these events, instead. A debate like that, I wouldn't skip. (I might even go pay-per-view to see it.)

This is old, old news about Raddatz. (I saw her at Genachowski's and Obama's law school graduation.) Prior to her marriage to Genachowski, she was married to Ben Bradlee, Junior, who was then with the Boston Globe. Raddatz, who used the name Bradlee professionally--she never called herself Genachowski--was the political correspondent for the ABC affiliate in Boston.

Reply 16 - Posted by: lalo, 10/10/2012 11:10:47 AM     (No. 8922875)

Still though, I would categorize her as one of the less offensive LSM reporters and would expect her to be fair.

Reply 17 - Posted by: earlybird, 10/10/2012 11:14:17 AM     (No. 8922884)

At first I thought Romney and Ryan should protest this. Then I had coffee and breakfast and rethought the whole thing.

Romney won the first debate by miles.

The word is now out. Both Raddatz's and the Commission's connections to Obama have been exposed. So far Romney-Ryan have decided to take the high road and go ahead with the debates as scheduled, with the moderators selected by the commission.

Fine. If the debates come out OK and there is no bias - and we and those like us, including the candidates, will know it - then our team will have won in spite of the probability of bias. If the moderators' bias is apparent and Obama seems to win, to have the system rigged, I expect all **** to break loose.

More than six months since Ambassador Christopher Stevens was assassinated by terrorists in Benghazi, the Obama administration is still trying to keep a lid on information about the attack. Congress and the American people need to know what happened the night of Sept. 11, 2012. Who did the killing and what was their motive? Why wasn´t help sent? And why did the administration lie about who was responsible?
