| The ambassador was locked inside a safe-room, choking to death from diesel-heavy smoke as the building around him burned to the ground. Alongside him was a security agent, tasked with the impossible choice between staying in the deadly room - or facing the rocket-propelled grenades and machine-guns outside. Eventually the agent slipped through the window - and was indeed cut down by the grenades. These were the final moments of U.S. ambassador Chris Stevens, killed during last month's deadly strike on the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya, and recounted this week in horrific detail by his surviving security team.

It's only just occurred to me:
Why did the "safe" room have a window? Why not a protected rooftop exit?
Why was that "safe" room not smoke resistant?
Why was a safe house located some distance from the consulate itself? Why not in the consulate compound?
So many questions arise from this dreadful incident.

#1...it might be because the firm that was contracted to handle some aspects of the security was a British firm that in turn hired local Libyans...the firm, as I recall Blue Mountain, was not on the list of pre-approved firms for the type contract they won...the use of the word "agents" in this piece is loose. Were they Americans, State Dept staff or contractors, and what specific meetings did Stevens have and what was the flow of communication from the consulate to the embassy or main state, or any command center with the contractor...there is no hint of a timeline...stinks...

Unsatisfactory report - because it does not address the three photos and one video which were all over the internet a couple of weeks ago of the Amabssador being dragged alive by the crazed terrorists. Why were his face and body bloody? Why was his shirt pulled up? Why were his pants pulled down? Why was he holding his head up even though his body was being carried face down? They avoid telling us what we could see with our own eyes.

I am so angry that our Ambassador and three other Americans were murdered and tortured after they had begged for more security and were turned down, and that Valerie Jarrett got Secret Service security when she went on a vaction in Nantucket. Shows who they listen to and who is important to Obama.

I agree with #8; Valerie Jarrett got Secret Service security when she went on a vaction in Nantucket, but when we send an agent into hostile territory, we cannot protect him. Who is making these rules? How dumb can these people be? Hillary Clinton has to go; 0bama has to be replaced.

I do see that Amb. Rice is/was an Obama supporter, so Hillary is more than happy to have Rice hang herself on the lies. Hillary can then deny knowing what Rice was going to do and let Rice be hoisted on her own petard.

The team found that being left alone to breed on its own was key. The discovery raises hope that other damaged reefs could ´regenerate´. The new research shows that an isolated reef off the northwest coast of Australia that was severely damaged by a period of warming in 1998. Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church.
