Obama adviser: No plans
to change Big Bird ad

NBC News, by Eun Kyung Kim

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 10/10/2012 8:23:00 AM

A new Obama ad that has ruffled feathers by mockingly portraying Big Bird as a corporate villain will stay on the air, a senior Obama campaign adviser said Wednesday. “I don’t know of any plans to change that ad,” Robert Gibbs told TODAY’s Matt Lauer. The ad sarcastically compares the beloved Sesame Street character, the breakout star in last week's presidential debate, to major white-collar criminals and “gluttons of greed” Bernie Madoff, Kenneth Lay and others. But the organization behind Sesame Street asked the Obama campaign to take down the ad.

Comments:
Hey, if the Great 0bama can take over GM, he can certainly take over Sesame Street and commandeer Big Bird for his own political use as he pleases. You know you are living in tyranny when your leader begins taking imaginary characters hostage.

This ad confirms my opinion that Bammy does not want to win election. He want to be the head of the United Nations where he has more power to really finish off the USA.

The Romney repsonse should be:

"So let me get this straight....you want to raise taxes and borrow money from China to subsidize a program that earns 200+ million per year selling stuffed animals and coloring books. When even the producers of Sesame Street have stated that they dont need the money. Seriously? Is that all you have?

Because, as my childeren say, I have a large brain, I am able to make sophisticated connectionds between seemingly unrelated facts.
But in the case of Bernie Madoff and Big Bird, Einstein himself could not make a connection. It is the silliest political ad I have ever seen. And it smacks of desperation...

Big Bird sure is tough.

If Romney or any GOP candidate had used Big Bird in an ad, Sesame Workshop's many and well paid lawyers would be filing lawsuits quicker than they would if some little daycare provider mistakenly painted Big Bird on the wall.

But since it's Dear Leader(US) and the Democrats, all they get is a meekly worded "Please stop" letter. And then they slink away, waiting for their next government check.

Sesame Workshop should be sending PBS a check every month for the opportunity to market their products via publicly owned airwaves.

Given the massive backlash on the ad by even Big Bird, I hope the party runs the ad constantly.

The feedback about how the enemies of the state on Wall Street were prosecuted by the Bush administration is priceless.

I bet former Gov Corzine - the CEO of a huge fraudulent Wall Street disaster and big Obama campaign bundler - would enjoy the irony if the Obama administration actually prosecuted any real Wall Street enemies.

Yet none of these guys can lose a $ TRILLION a year for four strait years or mis their estimate on the last budget by only half a trillion dollars.

Well, what else is he going to say? They never admit to doing anything wrong, they just say they never did it and the pathetic puppet media goes along. Like not blaming the video for the Benghazi attack. "We never said that". Do you really think the end result of the reporting is going to be that they lied?

So it will go this time. They will quietly get rid of the ad and then say they had nothing to do with the ad. And the media will aid them in that lie.

What Margaret Thatcher

In her remarkable life, Margaret Thatcher achieved what Hillary Rodham Clinton still wants (or at least what the pundits say she wants): She became the first female leader of her country, and she did it in such a determined way that her sex was almost an afterthought. In many respects, the two women are profoundly different. Thatcher, who died Monday at 87, was a self-described "conviction politician" and arch-conservative who channeled Milton Friedman and bonded fiercely with "Ronnie" Reagan, her great pal and partner on the world stage as the Cold War came to an end.

The U.S. has been denied direct access to the only publicly known suspect in custody in connection with the Benghazi terror attack, Fox News has learned, with U.S. interrogators still unable to sit in the same room as the Egypt-held prisoner to ask questions. Abu Ahmed, also known as Mohammed Jamal, is suspected of establishing Islamist training camps in Eastern Libya where militants who took part in the Sept. 11 Benghazi terrorist attack were able to train. Ahmed is not suspected of directly taking part in the attack which left four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, dead.

More recently, Republicans have invoked Benghazi to shoot down one would-be cabinet nominee, Susan Rice, and delay two others, Chuck Hagel and John Brennan.
