| It was in Denver one week ago that the long-running romance between Barack Obama and the national press -- aka the "Slobbering Love Affair," as Bernard Goldberg put it -- hit the wall. The motel bill, unpaid these many long months and ages, at long last came due. It had been the real thing, not a commonplace fling with your generic Democrat, but the love of a lifetime, the genuine article, the sum of all dreams: He was not just a Democrat, he was also a liberal. He was not just a liberal, he also biracial,

I wish there was a way to make sure the journ-O-listers will have to find the unemployment line. I always wonder why people who have been so blessed can hate this country so much. Wouldn't it just be easier to move and leave the rest of us alone?

1st biggest debate lose: Obama. 2nd biggest debate loser: the liberal media who have obviously been lying about both Obama and Romney. 3rd biggest debate loser: Democrat campaign ads.
People trust their twitter feeds more than the media. Think about that for a moment.

Great article but even Naomi can't seem to shake the media fairy tale of this guy's ability to write and talk. Absent Bill Ayers' books and TOTUS, Barky is about as creative and pleasing to the ear as gansta rap-which is actually more in line with his persona.

Not necessarily, #10. If Obama's performance gets bad enough, the whole MSM will have to back away from him to preserve the lie that liberalism equals truth. Liberalism must be preserved at all costs, even abandonment of the Won.

May I be allowed to whisper a word of dissent? In spite of the abundant good sense on display in this brief essay, Ms. Emery repeats the mantra that Obama is a great writer ("...he was gifted at writing..."). Has she not encountered the unanswered and unanswerable work of literary sleuth Jack Cashill?
We don't know how Obama performed in academia; for some reason those records are hidden: even results from standardized tests like the SAT and LSAT. You can be damn sure that if he had earned a Phi Beta Kappa key with a GPA of 3.95, or graduated in the top portion of his classes at Occidental, Columbia, or Harvard Law, we'd have been constantly reminded of it. If he had written anything intellectually penetrating and original for the Harvard Law Review, it would have been nailed to our brows, probably by David Brooks.
The totality of his reputation for brilliance rests on his presumed authorship of Dreams from My Father, which reads as if it were written by a stylistically graceful professional writer like Bill Ayers, because it was. Obama friend and benefactor Ayers himself has said as much. Pontificators from one side of the the political spectrum to the other have swallowed this brilliance canard, falling all over themselves to lionize this massively overhyped, stuttering communicator, although we have neither heard nor read anything remotely memorable or graceful from the Obama vomitorium/walnut since the publication of this alleged autobiographical memoir, certainly not since the 2007-08 national campaign. Remember that some dramatic pauses happen because the purveyor of the balloon juice doesn't know what the hell to say next. This anti-American fraud must be unmasked for his slavish supporters to see.

Dammit, it's the STATIST media, not the liberal media, liberal means freedom. The word "liberal" in both headlines is used as a cover up word for big government media, collectivist lap dog media, ANTI liberal media. The so called MSM media is the big promoter of big brother communist socialist style of taking away the rights of each and every individual citizens Kill babies, vote without ID, confiscate guns, force medicine on all citizens with IRS armed guards, ruin doctors and nurses lives, keep businesses out of business, forcing more unemployment, putting more people on governmant dole, divisively knocking the successes of individuals, promoting union graft (by their own unionized newscaster comrades), tax, tax, tax, spend, spend spend, into trillions of oblivion, make no budget, be totally irresponsivle and all of it, endlessly printing fake money, with the backing and indoctrination of all MSM. Good article, their golden boy "dissolving" right in front of their eyes like drizzling excrement. How sad for them to have the adored one betray THEM. All of you, MUST STOP CALLING THESE DESTROYERS LIBERAL. Overcome your fears, wake UP, call them nazis, commies, reds, traitors, bums, any word that makes you nervous to actually say. Go ahead, try it in the privacy of your own home. Get used to it. It's the semantic way to win, and it won't cost a dime.

It's not only that they loved him, BO is their creation. He was eyed since his 2004 convention speech and everything about him was constructed. His background and racial makeup were certainly great raw materials to begin with but everything else was manufactured and as we are clearly seeming now, fake.
He is not particularly intelligent. He is not a good speaker unless everything is very carefully crafted for him. His understanding of issues is superficial at best. His personality is poorly suited to be a reconciler and uniter because he is too self centered. His idea of unity is to do things his way.
It's not only that his record is one of failure, he doesn't have any of the basic requirements to be able to do any better. We have the media to thank for this caricature of a president. They created him and loved the product of their efforts. Pygmalion revisited, but BO didn't work out nearly as well for the media.

I get nervous when pundits talk about a future event as if it already happened. Ø is still President. He is still running huge leads in vast portions of our nation- very important voter sections. He is still a media darling. He still has very dirty, dangerous friends in high places. This is not over - not by a long shot. The day after is a vision I dream about. I will stay up all night election night. I will celebrate, the day after Romney wins--- if he does. I will bury my flag, my weapons and my American soul if he does not.

obama is the time bomb that has gone off, and his destructive agenda is weakening America daily. The cabal that everyone calls the 'liberal' media is actively working to help him implement his tyranny. Tyranny is evil; he and they are equals in evil doing any and everything they can to implement his 'fundamental transformation' of America to whatever his ideology envisions. Justice is long overdue and it will not be complete without an exhaustive scouring and expulsion of all the America-hating media sycophants!

Bingo! He knew they always had his back.
Personally I had this happen in my family. My MIL loved my BIL to death. She had every excuse in the book for his criminal actions. She was right there to protect him even at the expense of other family members. After he had ruined his life, sadly he died at age 50 of alcoholism. She didn't do the right thing by protecting him. Instead of helping him through fixing his life, she simply denied that he had ever done anything wrong. Sorry for all the personal information, but this really made sense to me.

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, a newly elected Republican with a penchant for making headlines, filed an amendment that would bar undocumented immigrants currently living in the United States from ever earning citizenship. There are an estimated 11 million people living in the country illegally, and a bipartisan immigration reform measure would create a pathway to citizenship over the course of 13 years by requiring those people to pay penalties and back taxes, as well as learn English. Conservatives opposed to reform decry the path as amnesty, but Democrats say they will not support

According to two officials at the Graham Putnam Mahoney Funeral Parlors with knowledge of the plan, the plan was hatched on Monday, and police from the city where the prison is located met with funeral home officials Tuesday. The plan, which called for moving the body to the prison during the early morning hours, fell apart sometime Tuesday, the officials said.

Republican Rep. Darrell Issa said Wednesday, as the oversight committee he chairs launched into a high-profile hearing on the Benghazi attacks, that the whistle-blowers giving their version of events are "actual experts" on what happened -- who could challenge the administration´s narrative. As the hearing began, one whistle-blower questioned Wednesday why more military assets were not deployed sooner during the Benghazi terror attack. Mark Thompson, a former Marine and official with the State Department´s Counterterrorism Bureau, said he was rebuffed by the White House when he asked for a specialized team -- known as a FEST team --

Former GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney got under the craw of the liberal intelligentsia concerning his remarks about marriage during his commencement address to graduates at Southern Virginia University last month: This is a promise: “Launch out into the deep, and your nets will be filled.” How do you do that? Well, getting married is one way to launch into the deep. I’m so glad I found Ann when I was still so young. Combining your life with another person, particularly someone—men and women as different as we are, this combination is tremendously challenging and enormously rewarding.

Last month, the American media had a brief moment of accountability when many in the press and broadcast networks acknowledged that they had largely ignored the case of Kermit Gosnell. The trial of the murderous Philadelphia abortionist flew below the radar for weeks. But some journalists were willing to fess up to the fact that their lack of interest in a sensational crime had something to do with their lack of comfort in discussing a case that might throw a shadow on an issue most in the media see as pitting an enlightened advocacy of “choice”

It started with reports that former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra O´Connor had second thoughts on the court´s decision to rule on the issue of George W. Bush v. Albert G. Gore, followed by dedication of the George W. Bush Presidential Library in Texas. Together, those events brought on a flutter of Gore nostalgia, a longing of sorts for his alternative presidency; the dream one that never took place. Since 2001 it had been the destination of choice in liberal fantasies, wherein Saddam Hussein was contained without bluster or bloodshed, terrorist attacks were derailed

Dan Foster, a young staffer at National Review, published a 2010 story about a class-action lawsuit against the federal government that resulted in "the waste of billions of dollars" and "systemic fraud implicating top federal officials." He wrote that the scandal touched President Obama himself, that countless payouts were made to people falsely claiming racial discrimination, and that more fraud was likely in successor lawsuits filed on behalf of women and Hispanics. Two days after the National Review story appeared online, Nancy Scola, a progressive journalist, commented on the same suit at The American Prospect. "This is one of those times

The tortured victims were imprisoned in a dilapidated, white-clapboard home with chains mounted to the ceiling for about 10 years before finally escaping Monday evening. Michelle Knight, 32, Amanda Berry, 26, and Gina DeJesus, 23, were treated as sex slaves — kept chained and taped in separate rooms, sources told the local ABC affiliate. They were also seen naked and on dog leashes in the back yard, according to USA Today.

When it first became clear that the CIA’s Benghazi talking points had been altered, many of us viewed the White House as the prime suspect. After all, it served President Obama’s political purposes to claim, at the height of a political campaign in which he was taking credit for the fall of al Qaeda, that the death of a U.S. ambassador was down to spontaneous outrage over a video, rather than pre-planned terrorism. It turns out, however, that the State Department was the prime culprit. It was State that pushed back hard against the original talking points.

Republican lawmakers, who have spent months seeking to tie President Obama to last year’s deadly attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, are increasingly focusing their probe on a new target: former secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton. The GOP-led investigation of the Sept. 11, 2012, assaults that killed U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three others now centers heavily on the State Department and whether officials there deliberately misled the public about the nature of the assault. Three State Department officials are scheduled to testify before a House committee on Wednesday about the Benghazi attack and its aftermath.

Sanford defeated Colbert Busch 54 percent to 45 percent, according to full unofficial results. Turnout was heavier than expected, with about 32 percent of the district’s 455,702 registered voters casting ballots. Sanford, who has never lost an election, returns to the 1st District seat he held for three terms from 1995-2001. British physicist Stephen Hawking has dropped plans to attend a major international conference in Israel in June, citing his belief that he should respect a Palestinian call to boycott contacts with Israeli academics. The University of Cambridge released a statement Wednesday indicating that Hawking had told the Israelis last week that he would not be attending "based on advice from Palestinian academics that he should respect the boycott." University officials said they had "previously understood" that Hawking´s decision was based solely on health concerns — he is 71 and has severe disabilities — but had now been told otherwise by Hawking´s office.
